More On 'Star Trek' Season Two Remastered DVDs

More information has come out about the art and extras for the original series Remastered Season Two DVDs.

As reported by, details have emerged on the new DVD set due to arrive on August fifth and reported here several days ago.

The DVD set will consist of eight DVDs and the suggested retail price will be $99.99. The video is full frame (1:33:1). Three languages will be available in both audio and subtitles, the languages being English, French and Spanish.

The special features include: Billy Blackburns's never-before-seen on-set home videos, nine featurettes, two extra Tribble Star Trek episodes (Star Trek: The Animated Series: More Tribbles, More Troubles and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Trials and Tribble-ations), and original preview trailers for each of the twenty-six episodes.

Packaging art is similar to that of the Season One release and can be seen here.

The original article is located here.

The inclusion of the two extra tribble episodes will be nice for TOS fans who haven't shelled out the money for DS9. Maybe it will be enough to convince some old-skool Trekkies to give the 'Nine a shot.

Agreed. DVDs are a good bargain especially considering the extras they often contain. We'd all like to see more bloopers and outtakes if they even still exist. The sanitation (what I call the "Disneyization") of TNG always annoyed me.

When are these pinheads going to get a clue about pricing?

It would be nice if there was some kind of special feature that incorporated the DS9 crew into "The Trouble With Tribbles".

People pay it so they wont get a clue. Prices will come down in a couple years.
