'Star Trek' Season Two DVD Release Date Now Official

The release of the Star Trek Season Two Remastered DVDs has been confirmed by CBS DVD and Paramount.

As reported by TVShowsOnDVD, Star Trek season two remastered will appear on August fifth, as formerly reported, but in the DVD only format, not in Blu-Ray.

It is expected though, that the series will eventually be released on Blu-Ray discs, as Paramount has committed to future releases in this format, but thus far, no specific date has been given for Blu-Ray disc releases.

The DVD release of Star Trek Season Two Remastered will run twenty-one hours and fifty two minutes. Bonus material is expected, but details are unavailable as of yet, as is package art and pricing of the set.

Remastered Season Two on DVD - YAY!
Not on Blu-Ray - BOO!

Some day, not soon but some day they'll offer it on Blu-Ray or whatever comes after Blu-Ray and we get to purchase it all over again.
