Anyone else run obstacle course races here?
Next spring I'm doing a gauntlet of Ragnar run, then Bone Frog two weeks later, then Tough Mudder two weeks after that. And I don't know when the Boston Super Spartan will be scheduled but I pre-regged for that and since Amesbury is in August and Fenway in November I would assume sometime around the spring. (I'm going for Trifecta next year).
Anyone who runs them have any prep tips? I've just been basically running and weight lifting but still always get the penalty on monkey bars & rope climbs (Basically anything where you have to lift up your body weight and can't use your legs at all. I'm like 205 pounds and can't really do pullups, so I guess that would be a start).
Also have no idea how to train for the spear throw.
