Scribe Award Nominees Announced
As reported by IAMTW, the nominees for the Second Annual Scribe Awards were announced today. The Scribe Awards acknowledge excellence in licensed tie-in writing, which are novels based on television shows, movies and games. They will be awarded in July at the Comic-Com convention in San Diego. Several familiar Star Trek writers were nominated this year, for Star Trek and other tie-in stories. They were nominated in the Speculative Fiction category as well as the Young Adult category. Scribe Awards also are given for General Fiction and Game-Related Fiction. In the Speculative Fiction category, which encompasses science fiction, fantasy and horror, the nominated stories and authors are broken down into two categories; Best Speculative Original and Best Speculative Adaptive. The nominees are: Nominees for Best Young Adult Original: Buffy The Vampire Slayer: The Deathless by Keith R.A. DeCandido, Goodlund Trilogy: Volume Three: Warriors Bones by Stephen D. Sullivan, Clue_crew Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew #10: Ticket Trouble by Stacia Deutsch and Rudy Cohon. To read more, head to the article located here. |
