Just in case you wanted to see them again, here's the cover for book 1, Gods of Night, and book 2, Mere Mortals. I love these covers.

And here's the Lost Souls blurb from Mack:

The soldiers of Armageddon are on the march, laying waste to worlds in their passage. An audacious plan could stop them forever, but it carries risks that one starship captain is unwilling to take. For Captain Jean-Luc Picard, defending the future has never been so important, or so personal — and the wrong choice will cost him everything for which he has struggled and suffered.

For Captain William Riker, that choice has already been made. Haunted by the memories of those he was forced to leave behind, he must jeopardize all that he has left in a desperate bid to save the Federation.

For Captain Ezri Dax, whose impetuous youth is balanced by the wisdom of many lifetimes, the choice is a simple one: there is no going back — only forward to whatever future awaits them.

But for those who, millennia ago, had no choice … this is the hour of their final, inescapable destiny.

Ummm ... you said that is from David Mack? I just wanted to be sure. Because that sounds like something I want to have in my hands five minutes ago.

Yup. Like the previous two posted by Kopernikus upthread, they come directly from David's website. And, I agree.

Ok I'm looking forward to these books even more now than I thought I could be interested in anything. I want these more than I want Star Trek XI!

Wow, wow wow. I swear each one of these sounds better than the last. I'm gonna go add this to Memory Beta, then all three of these descriptions will be up there, instead of the ones from the catalogue.

I just realized I think this is like the third or fourth time these things have been changed on there.

EDIT: Gah, you beat me to it Dark Horizon!

The Borg had no choice in whatever happened to them, millennia ago????

Looks like Mack might have done it again, three times over.

This is the Lord of the Rings of Star Trek ladies and gentlemen.

*Evilly laughs because he's changed Memory Beta entries based on what he's read here*

Hey Dave, there has been a lot of bashing you here and I am sorry that you have had to endure that. I have not always loved all of your creative choices, but you also introduced me to Junior Mance through Riker and that is worth me always giving you the benefit of the doubt. The Trilogy sounds magnificent!

Re: Destiny trilogy - pretty heavy spoilers

^ Gracias. Whatever else individual readers might think of the trilogy, I hope that, at the very least, they will find it to be an entertaining tale on its own merits. Obviously, it can't be all things to all people, but I'm hoping that the risks my editors and I decided to take will be judged as having merit.
