Yeah, she reminded me of Lyndisty, Vir's wife-to-be. Just totally brainwashed and cold as ice about killing other beings.

Yes... and was, perhaps not so coincidentally, one of the most sensitive of the entire series.

PK, have you seen any of "Crusade" ?

Yeah...good parallel.

Ooooohhh... hadn't thought of that at all! Excellent parallel there!

That would be a fun episode to watch sometime. Imagine us and our comments during Vir's question to Ivanova....

I'd not thought of it myself. That was a good catch, Jan.

I am really glad "Maternis, Paternis" was one of the episodes we watched tonight. It has more material in it than I had recalled. Most of the series is like that.

I told you I'd tell you about an homage that I just found out about. I just picked up some props on Ebay from Crusade and one of them was an equipment case tag. On it was inscribed (among other things) 'JPL' for Jet Propulsion Labs who consulted with the show and 'THX 1138' for George Lucas' first film.

That was really great! You know...I remember liking that ep from the first time I saw it...but it's been so long that I couldn't really remember why.

Bester is such a great character. Very multi-dimensional for a secondary character.

Re: Niners Unite...around Babylon 5! - The Lost Threads

I don't think I ever rewatch the show without seeing new things in just about every episode. *Especially* if I'm reading the scripts along with.

And speaking of "Crusade", my wife & I went to see "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" today. I had no idea that Peter Woodward had a small role in that film!

Yeah, that was fun to see. Such a mundane role for him, though.

When we start doing watches of Crusade, I nominate 'The Long Road'.

Looks like I was at work during both of the commentaries, but quite a few interesting tidbits that I didn't know apparently popped up during conversation. I'll have to make the next one.
