Star Trek from the 24th Century onwards... 2380 Riker assumes command of the Titan, beginning a great voyage of exploration. The Enterprise - E continues its mission of Exploration, exploring a previously unexplored star cluster. The Federation gains its 155th member. The Koa’s. 2381 The Enterprise – E makes many first contacts. 2382 The Titan returns from its voyage of exploration to the Federation. 2383 The Federation establishes a colony in the Gamma Quadrant, the Enterprise, Titan and Defiant protect it against a combined attack by Rogue Jem'Hadar and the Cheka... 2384 At Deep Space 9 they fend off an attack from another universe, in a repeat of an incident from 7 years before… 2385 Romulan Empire collapses due to internal strife, mainly dating from the struggles caused by the rise of Shinzon 6 years earlier, It would take the Romulans a very long time to recover from this. The Klingons conquer a portion of the former Empire. 2386 Laas has a break with Odo about how to run the Dominion, Laas decides to make his own Dominion, with a small amount of Vorta and Jem'Hadar loyal to him. They breakaway from the now Odo controlled Dominion, forming the New Dominion, a 3rd of the Dominion's worlds belong to the New Dominion. However the Borders of the New Dominion are nowhere near the Wormhole, which is just as well. Klingons establish a colony in the Gamma Quadrant. Romulan refugees start arriving on Vulcan... Some of them are reunificationists. (Though Spock remains on Romulus for the time being) 2390 Riker takes Command of the Enterprise E after the loss of the Titan and Captain Picard. New Dominion ships encounter a Borg cube, though no one in the Alpha Quadrant is aware of it. The Federation gains a member in the Gamma Quadrant (A Yrithny Wanderer Colony) By this time the Romulan Star Empire has completely collapsed. 2392 Doctor Crusher gains command of a medical ship. The Hippocrates 2395 Dec. the Enterprise E is decommissioned 2396 Mar. The Enterprise F is commissioned with Riker in command The 25th Century 2400 Riker is promoted to Admiral; Tom Paris takes command of the Enterprise F, transferring from the Voyager A, which is then commanded by Icheb. The Voyager A, then goes on a exploration/patrol mission. 2405 The Federation has 5 members in the Gamma Quadrant. 2406 The New Dominion tests Federation Defences around a colony... 2406 Tom Paris resigns command of the Enterprise F, which comes under the command of a new captain. Tom Paris gains a civilian ship and begins explorations on his own. The Enterprise F prevents a conspiracy from taking over the Federation. 2407 The Enterprise F explores a star cluster to the rim ward of the Federation. 2408 The Enterprise patrols the edge of Federation space. 2409 The Enterprise becomes involved in some Political Intrigue involving the Federation and some of its member worlds. It also patrols the edge of Federation space. 2410 The Enterprise prevents another conspiracy from taking over the Federation, and explores a star cluster to the core-ward of the Federation. 2411 The Enterprise does more exploration, discovering more Preserver preserved human colonies. 2412 The Enterprise helps to prevent a conspiracy from taking over the Federation, and patrols the edge of Federation Space The USS Europa discovers a Dyson Sphere, teeming with life including a great many civilisations, 300 light years from Earth. 2413 The Enterprise protects a Federation colony world from a renegade Klingon fleet. The Enterprise also discovers more Preserver colonies in a star cluster near the Galactic rim. The Federation sets up a base in the Dyson Sphere for coordination of exploration and study of the Sphere. During this year the Base makes contact with some of the Sphere’s more advanced civilisations, which ally with the Federation. Several civilisations are found to be human, Andorian, and Bajoran, which fuel speculation that the Preservers might have something to do with the Sphere… 2414 The Enterprise is involved in many unconnected incidents on the edge of the Federation, performs some first contacts, discovers another duplicate of Earth and explores a star cluster to the anti-spin ward of the Federation. In the Dyson Sphere, Preserver, Iconian and D’Arcy artefacts are found amongst artefacts of unknown origin, in a previously unexplored region of the Sphere. The Klingons also set up a base in the Sphere. An investigation finds that one of the human based civilisations found is based on the Romans. A new Deep Space Nine is completed, and the old DS9 having come to the end of its working life is decommissioned. The new station is located near where the old one was, near the opening of the wormhole. The Defiant is decommissioned, and is mothballed in a museum orbiting Bajor. A new ship is assigned to the new station. It is also called Defiant. The Federation at this time has 200 members with 10 in the Gamma Quadrant. Spock briefly returns to Vulcan to investigate how the Romulan refugees that had settled there are doing. 2415 The Enterprise is sent on a lot of routine missions. In the Dyson Sphere more regions are explored. A civilisation from the opposite direction from the Sphere from the Federation discovers the Sphere, and has first contact with the Federation. The First Federation sets up a base in the Sphere. After her graduation from a university on Earth, Anna Jones decides to explore the Galaxy herself. In her first year of exploration she visits many Federation member worlds, deciding to learn more about the Federation before heading off into the unknown. At Deep Space Nine they have to deal with the instability caused by the Cardassians wanting to join the Federation. Most Bajorans think they are not ready. 2416 Due to an experiment at the site of the Genesis Planet, the Genesis Planet regenerates itself. Also regenerated, are the original Enterprise NCC 1701, the USS Reliant, David Marcus, Khan Noonian Soong, and the Klingons who were aboard the Enterprise when it self destructed. The Enterprise-F is sent in to investigate… The civilisation which discovered the Dyson Sphere the previous year set up a base in the Sphere in this year. The Borg discover the Sphere, though this is not known until later… There are hints of deadly secrets being hidden in the Sphere somewhere… Anna Jones leaves the Federation. She hitches a ride in Tom Paris’s Alpha Flyer personal exploration ship, out to the edge of explored territory, in the opposite direction from both the Dyson Sphere, and a new enemy of the Federation. She then planet hops for a year. She makes discoveries that Starfleet won’t for another decade. The Defiant makes does some exploration close to the wormhole. Anti-Federation Terrorist groups perpetrate attacks against Federation activities in Cardassian space. This makes most Bajorans sure that the Cardassians are definitely not ready to join the Federation. 2417 A Borg ship is sighted near the Dyson Sphere by both a Starfleet and a Klingon ship in 2 separate incidents. The Gorn discover the Sphere. Anna Jones runs into trouble on a pre-industrial planet, where she had been exploring for a few months. She is then rescued by a Section 31 agent whom had been following her since she had left the Federation. The agent doesn’t reveal this to her though. She then discovers an interstellar nation a lot like the Federation was in the 23rd Century, based on a duplicate Earth. She is picked up by an Enterprise (SCC 2701) led by a Kirk-like captain. She accompanies them on a few missions before heading onwards around the edge of the space known to this ‘Commonwealth of Planetary Nations’ or ‘Commonwealth’ (or ‘CPN’) (whose maps she had been given by the captain), then planet-hops as before, before coming to an Empire at the end of the year. The Section 31 agent decides to urge her to keep the Commonwealth secret when she gets back to the Federation. The agent also barely escapes from the Commonwealth’s version of Section 31. The New Dominion stirs up trouble in the Gamma Quadrant. Cardassia continues to be troubled. Geordi La Forge barely escapes the loss of the Challenger. 2418 It is a peaceful year in the Dyson Sphere. Exploration of the Sphere’s surface continues. Some teams do get into trouble from time to time. Anna Jones escapes from the Empire she was trapped in at the end of the previous year, into Commonwealth space. She decides to visit some of the Commonwealth’s worlds. She does so. She rescues the Section 31 agent from the Commonwealth’s ‘Section 41’ (The Commonwealth’s version of Section 31). Then a month later, the Enterprise SCC 2701 has to rescue both of them from Section 41. The captain is convinced that Section 41 sees the Federation as a threat to the Commonwealth, though he doesn’t know why. They soon have to stop a conspiracy from taking over the Commonwealth. After this the Commonwealth Starfleet Command orders the Enterprise to take Anna and the agent back to the Federation, and to make contact with it. On the edge of Federation space they contact the USS Europa. Anna takes off in her ship. And the Section 31 agent has to take one of the Europa’s shuttles to follow her. Unbeknownst to them some of the Section 41 agents who had been shadowing the Enterprise follow them. Anna runs off in the direction of the Galactic rim, away from both the Federation and the Commonwealth, planet hopping as she had been before she ran into the Commonwealth. The Enterprise/Europa contact goes well. The Europa sends the information about the Commonwealth to Starfleet Command. They order the Europa to stay where it is, and to stall the Enterprise until they could make a decision… It is mostly peaceful at Deep Space Nine, and on Bajor, though not necessarily so on Cardassia. 2419 The Borg attack some Federation ships near the Dyson Sphere. Gary Seven appears on the Sphere, warning the leader of the Federation expedition there, that a time of trial is approaching. More regions of the Sphere are explored, with more teams running into trouble. As Anna runs from the Federation and the Commonwealth, she runs into some Borg ships fleeing from something. “Not more trouble, maybe I should have run in the opposite direction” she says upon seeing the Borg ships. However whatever is troubling the Borg doesn’t trouble Anna… This is a mostly uneventful year, apart from Gary Seven somehow appearing on her ship, and telling her to prepare for a time of trial. “But he won’t tell me what that trial is” she puts in her log. She stays on a preindustrial planet late in the year, and hangs out with a barbarian tribe who are troubling a Romanesque empire. Unbeknownst to her the Section 41 agents who had been trailing her infiltrate the ranks of that Empire’s military. Starfleet Command tells the Europa to keep the existence of the Commonwealth a secret, and to tell the Enterprise that the Federation will make secret contact with the Commonwealth. The captain of the Enterprise doesn’t like this but he agrees and goes back to the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth Council agrees with the Federation stance, and decides to make secret contact with the Federation as well. Knowledge of the other nation is on a need to know basis in both Starfleets. At Deep Space Nine, the Cardassian bid to join the Federation is turned down. The New Dominion raids some Federation and Klingon colonies, but doesn’t declare war. 2420 Some civilisations in the Dyson Sphere attack the Federation and Klingon presence in the Sphere, the reason for this is not known at the end of the year. In the meantime, many discoveries are made about the Sphere, though not before many teams get in trouble… Anna accompanies some of the barbarians on a raid on the empire. She is captured by one of the Section 41 agents. He tells her that she shouldn’t have found the Commonwealth, and that general knowledge of the Federation, and its Earth in particular could be very devastating to its society. He wants to take her back to the Commonwealth Earth where she would be held prisoner in a facility in its Aotearoa. (Not New Zealand? She asks herself). She is interrogated briefly before the Section 31 agent rescues her with the help of the empire’s version of Section 31. After this the agent reveals to Anna the truth about his/her work and Section 31. Anna doesn’t like this one bit, and runs off, crashing her ship on another continent of the planet, leaving the agent to fight in the empire against the Section 41 agents. Anna realises she has to get back to the empire before she can get off the planet. She then spends half of the year getting back there, encountering many tribes and civilisations along the way. When she gets back, she finds that the empire is not as it has been, with the fighting between the agents having devastated it, having exasperated the empire’s troubles. She then steals one of the Section 41 ships and leaves the planet, heading in the direction of the Klingon Empire. She doesn’t get there before December though, running into Gary Seven again. He sends her on a mission on Preserver/Human planet… After this she finds that she was followed by the agents. In the Gamma Quadrant, tensions between the Federation and its allies and the New Dominion increase… Cardassia has a lot more troubles as the ramifications of the refusal of Federation admittance continues to be felt. 2421 There is war in the Dyson Sphere as groups that do not like the UFP/Klingon/First Federation/etc presence in the Sphere, attack their presence in the Sphere, and the civilisations that had allied with them. In the midst of this the Borg attempt to assimilate the Sphere, though their attack is driven off with a lot of success. The war comes to an end towards the end of the year. More secrets are discovered about the Sphere. Anna enters the Klingon Empire and visits many of their worlds, including Qo’nos. However the Commonwealth agents and the Section 31 agent follow her into Klingon space. A Klingon Imperial Intelligence agent approaches Anna and tells her about her predicament. It also appears that the Klingons know about the Commonwealth as well. Also it seems that the Federation Council wants her for breaking the Prime Directive. “I am not a Starfleet officer, I was never in the Academy” she says. “It seems that they want you anyway, you have disrupted cultures on many planets, your journey seems to have caused a lot of havoc, and the Federation Council wants to talk to you” the agent says. “What about the High Council, what do they say?” she asks. “The Chancellor knows you are in Klingon territory, as for the rest of the Council I don’t know, but he says that you may stay as long as you wish” He says. Anna decides to stay in Klingon space for a while, and she does. She leaves Klingon space in the middle of the year in the opposite direction to the one she entered it, and then planet-hops on warp-capable planets towards the galactic rim. With the Section 31 agent, a Federation starship, the Section 41 agents, a Commonwealth starship (but not the Enterprise), the Klingon I.I. agent and a Klingon Defence Force ship following her. Tensions between the Federation alliance and the New Dominion continue to increase. Cardassia stabilises. The planet Ratalita, in the Gamma Quadrant, joins the Federation, at the end of the year. The ancient station orbiting it becomes a Starfleet station. 2422 Anna continues to run along the edge of the Galaxy, in the direction of the Gamma Quadrant, she is still pursued, by all who were pursuing her in the previous year. She visits many warp capable planets, and then pre-warp post-industrial planets when warp capable planets become few and far between. In the middle of the year, she lands on a pre-industrial planet and is resting in a village when Gary Seven meets her. “You have to stop running Anna! You have left havoc behind you, and you would create more” he says. “It is not just me! It is the agents following me as well” Anna says. “They are causing havoc where they are causing havoc because they are following you” Gary says. “And if I continue what I am doing?” Anna asked. “More havoc would be caused, and more people would be following you, creating havoc themselves and fighting, one thing I am sure that you don’t want, and that is for the Borg to be following you, and that will happen eventually” Gary said. “So you are saying it will end with a lot of chaos in the Galaxy and my being assimilated?” Anna asks. “That is one way it could end, there are many possibilities, it is your choice, if not for your choice to explore the Galaxy, the Federation and the Commonwealth would have not known of each other for decades, possibly a century, now they know of each other, also the Kalateo Empire on the planet which they call Lateoval, you know whereof I speak, would still be standing, whereas it has now fallen and barbarians are destroying knowledge all over its former lands. Lateoval’s history would have been entirely different. There is practically no telling what effect that would have in the centuries and millennia ahead. The havoc that has been caused has weakened both the Federation and the Commonwealth, and possibly the Klingons also, they might fall sooner than they otherwise would have” Gary said. “It is my choice?” Anna asks. “It is, I, or the organisation whom I represent, will not hinder you, it is up to you” Gary says. Anna stays in that village for a month while thinking. She then leaves the planet and plots a course towards Lateoval, wondering whether Gary Seven had been truthful about the Kalateo Empire falling. She quickly passes through the core-ward edge of the Federation on the way. She arrives at Lateoval 3 months after leaving where she met Gary Seven. She finds that the Kalateo Empire had fallen, and that barbarians had been and still were sacking most of its cities. She finds that its great libraries had been burned. The future for Lateoval had changed. ‘I hope the Preservers had taken heed and saved some of the Kalateo culture’ she thinks shortly before leaving the planet. She then sets course for the Commonwealth Earth. In her wake the Federation starship sends down some crewmembers to investigate the aftermath of the Kalateo’s fall. She arrives at the edge of Commonwealth space at the end of the year, after visiting many uninhabited planets along the way. ‘I can’t cause havoc where there is no one around’ she thinks. The tensions between the Federation alliance and the New Dominion decrease. Cardassia stabilises more. The station orbiting Ratalita is opened as a Federation station. It is Gamma Station Three. It is a base for exploration of nearby sectors of the Gamma Quadrant. Many first contacts are made at the station. 2423 Anna enters the Commonwealth and ship pushes the engines of the ship she is in as fast they can go. That however still draws the attention of Section 41. The recently refitted Enterprise SCC 2701 has to rescue her from them. The captain offers to take her to Earth. She accepts, as the Enterprise can go faster than the ship. It takes a week to get there. The Section 31 agent, the Federation starship, and the Klingons follow the Enterprise. On arrival at CPN Earth, she goes to Starfleet Command, and asks them to call off the Commonwealth pursuit. One of the Admirals takes her aside and says that they have no control over Section 41, and they would pursue her anyway. She realises she would have to lose Section 41 anyhow. She then apologises for the havoc caused in the Commonwealth, and beams back up to the Enterprise with the Enterprise officers. The Commonwealth Starfleet Command and the Commonwealth Council decide that to keep on following Anna, would probably lead to a possible conflict with the Federation. The Enterprise is ordered to contact the Federation starship and to ask them to take Anna back to the Federation. The Enterprise meets with the Starship Alabama and the Alabama takes Anna back to the Federation. The Alabama drops Anna off on a Federation planet, after 3 months of travel time. Anna stays on the planet exploring it for 6 weeks. Then Q appears to her. “Let me guess, the Continuum wants you to follow me. I have made amends to the Commonwealth for causing havoc there!” Anna says. “You may have made amends to the Commonwealth, but what about all those primitive worlds, where the agents following you have messed things up, not to mention Lateoval where you actually did interfere. The Kalateo had potential” Q says. “Fine click your fingers, fix the problems, the Continuum can do it” Anna says. “If the Continuum did do that sort of thing, they would be no better than the Borg, or many other races who set themselves up as false gods, If it was me a century ago, I would have been only too happy to do it, but now, I have an example to keep and the Continuum would probably strip me of my powers again” Q says. “I don’t know what to do about it, you want me to go to Earth and make amends to the Federation too? Or wait for Gary Seven and give him some sort of message from the Continuum?” Anna says. “It is your choice to make amends to the Federation, as for Gary Seven, it is none of your business what the Continuum thinks of him and the organisation he represents” Q says. “I think I will go to Earth, make amends, and maybe then go around and try to fix some of the problems I caused. It is too late for Lateoval maybe, but probably not for most of the planets” Anna says. “That is a good attitude, I can and allowed to provide a transportation service, for a limited amount of time” Q says. “I accept your offer” Anna says. “Where to?” Q asks. “Earth, San Francisco” Anna says. Q clicks his fingers and he and Anna appear in San Francisco. Anna knows where she is when she appears there. “When you are finished with the making of the amends with the Federation I shall be at a famous Creole Restaurant in New Orleans, the food there is worthy of the Continuum” Q says, and he vanishes in the customary flash of light. Anna goes to Starfleet Command and after explaining that Q brought her to Earth apologises for the havoc caused in the Federation. Starfleet Command wants to punish her for breaking the Prime Directive. However the Federation Council, after much deliberation, clears her of all charges and allows her to go on her way. In the meantime, the Section 41 agents and the Klingons are thrown off Anna’s trail by Q’s teleportation of Anna; they go back to the Commonwealth and the Klingon Empire respectively. Anna arrives at the Sisko’s Creole Restaurant in New Orleans a month after arriving on Earth, at the beginning of July. After having a meal there she leaves Earth with Q again. She and Q travel to various planets she had affected, those that Q says can be helped. Also they travel to the planets randomly, so that no one would be able to make sense of Anna’s journeying. This happens for 3 months. Then Q says that he has to leave her. “And now the Continuum says that I must leave you alone, most of the planets that can be helped have been, maybe I will introduce the Commonwealth to the Borg…” Q says. “I will see you again?” Anna asks. “Time will tell” Q says. “I think introducing the Commonwealth to the Borg would produce more havoc that they can I’ll afford at this time” Anna says. “You are right of course, the Commonwealth will probably learn of the Borg from the Federation, and now I must go” Q says, and he waves goodbye, and in a flash, he is gone, and Anna is back where she was 4 months before. She finds that the ship she had come in was as she left it, she sets out to explore again setting a course for the planet where she last met Gary Seven. She planet hops on warp capable and uninhabited planets all the way there, and arrives there at the end of the year. Gary Seven is waiting for her when she lands where they had met before. “So? Have I averted more havoc, as you would have put it?” Anna asks. “You have, making amends with both the Commonwealth and the Federation was good. You should have had taken my word about Lateoval though, you could have saved time, and not had needed help from the Q Continuum” Gary Seven says. “How did you know about me being with Q? And it was just one Q, one who is well known to the Federation at that” Anna asks “You were observed with him” Gary Seven says. “Anyway, without his help the Klingons and Section 41 would still be following me, and I would have been here a year later” Anna says. “True and you have done a good job fixing things at those planets, without Q’s help of course” Gary Seven says. “Good” Anna says. “And now you can continue with your exploration where you left off, you can continue going where you were going before, the area of space ahead is unknown to the Federation, the Klingons, the Commonwealth, the Borg and all other organisations you know about, other than the organisation I work for and the Q Continuum of course” Gary says. “So I could just keep on going and it is mostly safe?” Anna asks. “It isn’t that safe, but the Borg are not there – yet, and there is nothing like the Federation or the Commonwealth there either” Gary says. “Ok” Anna says. And so Gary Seven leaves, Anna leaves the planet after staying overnight. Gary Seven didn’t need to tell her not to cause havoc, she had learned her lesson. She leaves the planet and heads off into the unknown, towards the Delta Quadrant… The Federation alliance makes peace with the New Dominion. At Gamma Station Three, more first contacts are made. 2424 At Gamma Station Three, some of the new species come to trade. The USS Felis NCC 100247 begins its 8 year voyage of exploration in the Gamma Quadrant. The Enterprise (NCC 1701-F) begins exploring to one side of the Alabama’s route from the Commonwealth to the Federation. They become involved in a situation on a planet that had been affected by Anna’s journey. (And that hadn’t been visited by Anna and Q). They also explore a nebula. 2425 More exploration and trade from Gamma Station Three. The Felis discovers Preserver planets, with cultures from Earth, Bajor and Tellar along its exploration path. 2426 More exploration and trade from Gamma Station Three The Felis makes many discoveries. At the Dyson Sphere, one of the civilisations joins the Federation. 2427 Rumour of a threat deadlier than the Dominion reaches Gamma Station Three, and from the descriptions, it isn’t the Borg… More discoveries and first contacts are made. The Felis hears of a separate threat. 2428 Gamma Station Three is attacked by an anti-Federation alliance of worlds, beginning the 2nd Gamma War. This war doesn’t escalate beyond the Ratalita system though. The Felis doesn’t hear about the 2nd Gamma War at this time. It makes some first contacts. And finds a pre-industrial Preserver world where there are many cultures from different Federation worlds on it. Anna Jones, after going across space where there are no interstellar nations, runs into a nation which seems to be under attack by an alliance of Species 8472 and Hirogen hunters. She finds that Species 8472 and the hunters were acting independently. She realises that she can do nothing to help them. She continues on her way. 2429 Gamma Station Three prevails in the 2nd Gamma War which ends towards the end of the year. The Felis makes more discoveries. 2430 The Felis runs into trouble often, but still makes friendly first contacts. Conditions on Cardassia have improved enough for another application to be made for Federation membership. 2432 The Felis completes its mission and returns to Federation space. 3433 Tom Paris retires from his personal exploration of the Alpha Quadrant, and settles down on Earth. He gives the Alpha Flyer to Miral’s son, who starts exploring himself. 2434 The Enterprise, during exploration of a star system, makes first contact with a very unusual species. 2436 At the Dyson Sphere more discoveries are made about the Sphere’s origins. 2437 Anna, after over a decade of exploration, decides to head back to the Federation to see how it has changed in her absence. 2439 The Cardassians join the Federation. 2442 At Gamma Station Three, a hidden data module is recovered that gives the Federation more information about the station’s early history. 2443 The Felis returns to Federation space after its second long range exploratory mission 2445 The Federation gains its 225th member. The Voyager-A is decommissioned, with the Voyager-B being commissioned. 2448 The Commonwealth and the Federation enter into an alliance, after the Federation gives the Commonwealth information about the Borg. If one nation is attacked, the other will also attack the aggressor. The Enterprise whilst exploring near the galactic rim, makes first contact with an extra-galactic explorer, who says that she has found the Milky Way to be very like her home galaxy. The explorer soon leaves, leaving the Enterprise crew and the Federation with a mystery. 2450 The Felis begins its 4th long range exploration mission. 2451 The Felis enters unexplored space for the 4th time, discovers some unique civilisations. 2452 The Felis continues its mission. The Enterprise F is almost destroyed protecting a Federation colony from an unknown aggressor. It requires a refit before the ship is space worthy again. At the Dyson Sphere another civilisation (a small one) joins the Federation. 2453 The Felis discovers yet another duplicate Earth, this one is 2500 years behind the Federation Earth, with a Rome under Julius Caesar that has 19th Century technology… The Enterprise F re-enters service towards the end of the year, after 18 months of refit. Anna Jones returns to the Federation. She then begins to write an integrated account of her journeys. 2454 The Felis enters an area where there are only pre-warp planets. 2455 The Enterprise has a joint mission with a Commonwealth ship, investigating a possible threat to both nations… Some Cardassian colonies leave the Federation. The Felis encounters many Preserver planets. 2456 The Felis has an uneventful year in its journey. 2457 The Felis encounters more rumours of the threat it had heard of in its previous voyages. 2458 The Felis has many minor battles, when it encounters a syndicate of trading worlds that also engages in piracy. The Enterprise begins a 2 year voyage of exploration. A major diplomatic function is held at Gamma Station Three. 2459 The Felis returns to Federation space. 2460 The Federation gains its 240th member, a Klingon colony that had left the Empire. At this time the Federation and the Empire are still allies. 2461 The Enterprise F crew prevents a conspiracy from taking over the Federation, with the help of Section 31. 2463 Miral’s son barely escapes from the destruction of the Alpha Flyer, and hitchhikes back to the Federation. It is later revealed that Section 41 was responsible for the destruction as he had been getting too close to a secret Commonwealth facility… 2464 In the Dyson Sphere, a cavern is found beneath its largest mountain. It contains a record of the Sphere’s history. 2466 Anna’s account of her journeys is published. It doesn’t mention the Commonwealth, Gary Seven or what happened to the Kalateo Empire. 2469 At Deep Space Nine, an event predicted by a Bajoran Prophesy occurs. 2470 At Gamma Station Three, an exploratory ship drops out of transwarp, making first contact with the Federation. 2472 In the middle of its 7th exploratory mission the Felis makes contact with a race that fits the description of the threat they had been hearing rumours about. The ship then heads directly back towards the Gamma part of the Federation, to warn them. 2473 At Gamma Station Three, a new program of exploration starts. 2474 There are more first contacts at GS3, and some mysterious attacks start against Federation colonies in the near vicinity. 2475 The mysterious attacks continue against Federation colonies near GS3. The Federation gains its 240th Member. The Enterprise F is decommissioned in January. The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 G is launched in November. 2476 The attacks continue against colonies near to GS3, a taskforce arrives for further investigation of those attacks. 2477 The taskforce finds that the New Dominion has nothing to do with the attacks. The attacks continue 2478 A Klingon colony is destroyed by the perpetrators of the mysterious attacks near GS3, the Klingons use this as an excuse to re-start conquest, they start invading independent worlds near to GS3. They hope to conquer the world the attacks are coming from and bring them to an end. Meanwhile the attacks continue in intensity. 2479 The Klingon conquest near GS3 continues. A member of Section 31 arrives on GS3 to help the station crew investigate the source of the mysterious attacks, which continue. The Federation and the Commonwealth stop an attempted Borg invasion of Lateoval, a portion of which is still reeling from the fall of the Kalateo Empire. Only 1 city of one of the other civilisations one the planet is scooped up by the Cube. The 2 nations set up a base in the Lateoval system in case the Borg come back. (Unbeknownst to either of them the Borg had assimilated information that Anna had left on another pre-industrial planet a few years after she had been with Q.) Anthony Paris (Tom and B’Elanna’s great grandson), begins exploring in the Alpha Flyer 2. 2480 The Klingon conquest slows down. The mysterious attacks continue near GS3. Gamma Base 26 is commissioned and begins operations. The Federation and the Dominion sign an alliance against the perpetrators of the mysterious attacks at GS3. The Commonwealth sets up a secret base in the Dyson Sphere. 2481 The Klingon conquest force and the Starfleet forces based at GS3 uncover the perpetrators of the attacks. A civilisation previously thought to be reclusive. Backed into a corner they declare war on the Federation and the Klingons. The Dominion and the Commonwealth also join this war, though their presence much less than the Federation and the Klingons. Exploration is carried out from Gamma Base 26 2481 The civilisation that caused the mysterious attacks is defeated. The Klingons then withdraw from the planets that they had conquered. Many first contacts are made at Gamma Base 26. Starfleet Command forms a covert exploration arm to specifically explore ahead of ‘official’ explorers. Anna’s granddaughter Belle decides to follow in her grandmother’s footsteps… 2482 Exploration continues from Gamma Base 26 2483 A Ferengi expedition arrives at Gamma Base 26 with rumours of a civilisation that is more capitalist than Ferenginar. 2484 A ship is sent from GB 26 to investigate the hyper-capitalist rumour. The Federation gains its 270th member, Capella IV. At Deep Space Nine, and on Bajor, there is a crisis when logs are recovered from the Terok Nor/Old DS9 Museum that implicate the Emissary in a conspiracy that resulted in the Romulans joining in the Dominion War in the previous century. 2485 It is peaceful at GB26 The Felis is decommissioned after its 8th long range mission in the Gamma Quadrant. The Mus is commissioned and begins its 1st long range mission. 2486 The Tetari Consortium (The hyper-capitalist civilisation) makes first contact with the Federation at Gamma Base 26 The Mus leaves known space. 2487 A representative a Tetari Uber-Corporation comes to GB 26. Section 31 sends some agents to GB 26 to determine whether any of The Tetari Uber-Corps would pose a threat to the Federation. The Mus is bogged down at an apparently pre-industrial planet when some natives take their warp core… The USS New Horizons carries out 3 short-range exploration missions in the Gamma Quadrant, close to GB 26. 2488 At GB 26, there is another first contact. The Mus regains their warp core and they get on their way again. The New Horizons carries out 4 more short-range exploration missions in the GQ. The Federation gains its 275th member. 2493 The Klingon Empire withdraws from some of the former Romulan systems that they had conquered a century before. 2494 Belle returns to the Federation after her exploratory journey. 2496 The Commonwealth establishes a base in the Dyson Sphere. 2497 At the Dyson Sphere, there is a minor crisis when a Starfleet officer breaks the Prime Directive and an industrial age civilisation begins to conquer the surrounding (pre-industrial, but still post-Iron Age) civilisations. 2498 The previous years’ crisis grows when another civilisation threatens to use nuclear weapons against the expanding civilisation if the Federation and its allies don’t stop the expansion by the end of the year. The Federation attempts diplomatic mediation but to no avail. 2499 The civilisation that threatened use of nuclear weapons uses them. As a result about 0.001% of the sphere’s surface begins to experience nuclear winter, after there is a MAD scenario with another nuclear power civilisation nearby. The climatic conditions of an additional 0.1% of the sphere is affected in some way by the nuclear winter. The Federation tries to bring relief to that area of the Sphere, but they have to evacuate a large amount of people to other areas of the Sphere… 2500 The situation in the Sphere continues to deteriorate, with some groups attacking the Federation/Klingon/Commonwealth etc presence in the Sphere, climatic conditions near the nuked zone continue to get worse, as the nuclear winter zone continues to expand. 2501 Many civilisations begin to battle against each other in the Sphere as paranoia runs rife with accusations by some civs against other civs continue to increase, the Starfleet Corps or Engineers in called in to find a way to stop the climatic conditions in the area of the Sphere near the MAD’ed areas getting any worse, and maybe improve the area’s. 2502 The SCE is stumped as to whether there is a way to influence the Sphere’s climate, there is still a lot that is mysterious about the Sphere. The wars continue, some civilisations continue to ally themselves with the Federation. The climatic conditions in the nuke war affected area continue to worsen. 2503 For some reason the climatic conditions begin to be repaired. The SCE surmise that the built-in climate control system of the Sphere took some time to begin to repair the climatic problems caused by the MAD scenario due to the age of the Sphere. The area affected by the nuclear winter and the surrounding climatic problems begins to shrink. The wars continue. 2504 The SCE teams locate a localised climate control system near to the MAD affected area. They try to figure out a solution to the problem as the Sphere continues to fix the problems by themselves. The wars reduce, due to diplomacy succeeding. 2505 The climatic conditions in that area of the Sphere continue to improve. The area directly affected by the nuclear winter has decreased by 5%. The wars caused by the situation have stopped by the end of the year.
There's something I haven't seen before, the fusion of a timeline with prose. Sort of an odd concept. No offense, but I can't decide if it's innovative or just sort of lazy. You know, an attempt to create an epic work without actually writing most (or all) of it. Yeah, sorry, but I'm leaning toward the latter...
I have to agree with Tiberius here. Fardell, what you have works great as a kind of series bible. If I can make a few suggestions? You could write short (or long) stories from any point along that timeline, or modify it to be an exploration series of the sphere, the Commonwealth, the Gamma Quadrant. There are so many possibilities there. If on the other hand you wrote it like that because you're not sure of your writing ability for true prose, then we're here to help. That's what us fanfic writers do, stick together. I apologise in advance if you think I'm stealing your thunder or foisting my ideas on you. It was not my intention. I merely wish to point out that you have a great beginning for what could be a great epic series (singular or plural).
I am inclined to the former as I started writing a timeline, and found I included some prose, so as to adaquately describe an event.
This is a very intricate, detailed timeline. As a timeline including some prose, it’s not as effective as a story would be, but I think you’ve just written yourself a writer’s bible for an interesting series set in the 25th century. I’d encourage you to pick one of these themes in your newly created Trekverse and write a storyline using this timeline as a background. You need not include all of it in the course of the story, but as a writer it will give you a good sense of what has transpired previously and give more depth and substance to your universe.
Star Trek from the 24th Century onwards... (Part 1; Slightly revised and fleshed out) 2380 Riker assumes command of the Titan, beginning a great voyage of exploration. The Enterprise - E continues its mission of Exploration, exploring a previously unexplored star cluster. The Federation gains its 155th member. The Koa’s. 2381 The Enterprise – E makes many first contacts. 2382 The Titan returns from its voyage of exploration to the Federation. 2383 The Federation establishes a colony in the Gamma Quadrant, the Enterprise, Titan and Defiant protect it against a combined attack by Rogue Jem'Hadar and the Cheka... 2384 At Deep Space 9 they fend off an attack from another universe, in a repeat of an incident from 7 years before… 2385 Romulan Empire collapses due to internal strife, mainly dating from the struggles caused by the rise of Shinzon 6 years earlier, It would take the Romulans a very long time to recover from this. The Klingons conquer a portion of the former Empire. 2386 Laas has a break with Odo about how to run the Dominion, Laas decides to make his own Dominion, with a small amount of Vorta and Jem'Hadar loyal to him. They breakaway from the now Odo controlled Dominion, forming the New Dominion, a 3rd of the Dominion's worlds belong to the New Dominion. However the Borders of the New Dominion are nowhere near the Wormhole, which is just as well. Klingons establish a colony in the Gamma Quadrant. Romulan refugees start arriving on Vulcan... Some of them are reunificationists. (Though Spock remains on Romulus for the time being) 2390 The Titan and the Enterprise respond to a distress call; during the ensuing battle the Titan is destroyed. Riker takes Command of the Enterprise E after the loss of the Titan and Captain Picard. New Dominion ships encounter a Borg cube, though no one in the Alpha Quadrant is aware of it. The Federation gains a member in the Gamma Quadrant (A Yrithny Wanderer Colony) By this time the Romulan Star Empire has completely collapsed. 2392 Doctor Crusher gains command of a medical ship. The Hippocrates. 2395 Dec. the Enterprise E is decommissioned, as it has been incredibly damaged during the last 20 years. 2396 Mar. The Enterprise F is commissioned with Riker in command. The 25th Century 2400 Riker is promoted to Admiral; Tom Paris takes command of the Enterprise F, transferring from the Voyager A, which is then commanded by Icheb. The Voyager A, then goes on a exploration/patrol mission. 2405 The Federation has 5 members in the Gamma Quadrant. 2406 The New Dominion tests Federation Defences around a colony... 2406 Tom Paris resigns command of the Enterprise F, which comes under the command of a new captain. Tom Paris gains a civilian ship and begins explorations on his own. The Enterprise F prevents a conspiracy from taking over the Federation, unknown to them at the time; they receive help from Section 31. 2407 The Enterprise F explores a star cluster to the rim ward of the Federation; they make 2 first contacts with civilisations that had recently gained FTL capability. 2408 The Enterprise patrols the edge of Federation space. 2409 The Enterprise becomes involved in some Political Intrigue involving the Federation and some of its member worlds. They find that the Intrigue involves some of the members of the Federation Council. The Enterprise also patrols the edge of Federation space. 2410 The Enterprise prevents another conspiracy from taking over the Federation, and explores a star cluster to the core-ward of the Federation…. 2411 The Enterprise does more exploration, discovering more Preserver preserved human colonies. These colonies are between Medieval and 20th century levels. 2412 The Enterprise helps to prevent yet another conspiracy from taking over the Federation, and patrols the edge of Federation Space. The USS Europa discovers a Dyson Sphere, teeming with life including a great many civilisations, 300 light years from Earth. 2413 The Enterprise protects a Federation colony world from a renegade Klingon fleet. The Enterprise also discovers more Preserver colonies in a star cluster near the Galactic rim. The Federation sets up a base in the Dyson Sphere for coordination of exploration and study of the Sphere. During this year the Base makes contact with some of the Sphere’s more advanced civilisations, which ally with the Federation. Several civilisations are found to be human, Andorian, and Bajoran, which fuel speculation that the Preservers might have something to do with the Sphere… 2414 The Enterprise is involved in many unconnected incidents on the edge of the Federation, performs some first contacts, discovers another duplicate of Earth and explores a star cluster to the anti-spin ward of the Federation. The duplicate of Earth, when the Enterprise discovers it, is in its industrial revolution, and that the leading nation is Sweden, followed closely by Britain. In the Dyson Sphere, Preserver, Iconian and D’Arcy artefacts are found amongst artefacts of unknown origin, in a previously unexplored region of the Sphere. The Klingons also set up a base in the Sphere. An investigation finds that one of the human based civilisations found is based on the Romans… A new Deep Space Nine is completed, and the old DS9 having come to the end of its working life is decommissioned. The new station is located near where the old one was, near the opening of the wormhole. The Defiant is decommissioned, and is mothballed in a museum orbiting Bajor. A new ship is assigned to the new station. It is also called Defiant. The Federation at this time has 200 members with 10 in the Gamma Quadrant. Spock briefly returns to Vulcan to investigate how the Romulan refugees that had settled there are doing. He finds that most of them are still emotional. 2415 The Enterprise is sent on a lot of routine missions, including following up on previous missions. In the Dyson Sphere more regions are explored. A civilisation from the opposite direction from the Sphere from the Federation discovers the Sphere, and has first contact with the Federation. This first contact goes well. The First Federation sets up a base in the Sphere, so they can study the Sphere first hand. After her graduation from a university on Earth, Anna Jones decides to explore the Galaxy herself. In her first year of exploration she visits many Federation member worlds, deciding to learn more about the Federation before heading off into the unknown. At Deep Space Nine they have to deal with the instability caused by the Cardassians wanting to join the Federation. Most Bajorans think they are not ready. 2416 Due to an experiment at the site of the Genesis Planet, the Genesis Planet regenerates itself. Also regenerated, are the original Enterprise NCC 1701, the USS Reliant, David Marcus, Khan Noonian Soong, and the Klingons who were aboard the Enterprise when it self destructed. The Enterprise-F is sent in to investigate… The civilisation which discovered the Dyson Sphere the previous year set up a base in the Sphere in this year. The Borg discover the Sphere, though this is not known until later… There are hints of deadly secrets being hidden in the Sphere somewhere… Anna Jones leaves the Federation. She hitches a ride in Tom Paris’s Alpha Flyer personal exploration ship, out to the edge of explored territory, in the opposite direction from both the Dyson Sphere, and a new enemy of the Federation. She then planet hops for a year. She makes discoveries that Starfleet won’t for another decade. The Defiant makes does some exploration close to the wormhole. Anti-Federation Terrorist groups perpetrate attacks against Federation activities in Cardassian space. This makes most Bajorans sure that the Cardassians are definitely not ready to join the Federation. 2417 A Borg ship is sighted near the Dyson Sphere by both a Starfleet and a Klingon ship in 2 separate incidents. The Gorn discover the Sphere. Anna Jones runs into trouble on a pre-industrial planet, where she had been exploring for a few months. She is then rescued by a Section 31 agent whom had been following her since she had left the Federation. The agent doesn’t reveal this to her though. She then discovers an interstellar nation a lot like the Federation was in the 23rd Century, based on a duplicate Earth. She is picked up by an Enterprise (SCC 2701) led by a Kirk-like captain. She accompanies them on a few missions before heading onwards around the edge of the space known to this ‘Commonwealth of Planetary Nations’ or ‘Commonwealth’ (or ‘CPN’) (whose maps she had been given by the captain), then planet-hops as before, before coming to an Empire at the end of the year. The Section 31 agent decides to urge her to keep the Commonwealth secret when she gets back to the Federation. The agent also barely escapes from the Commonwealth’s version of Section 31. The New Dominion stirs up trouble in the Gamma Quadrant. Cardassia continues to be troubled. Geordi La Forge barely escapes the loss of the Challenger. 2418 It is a peaceful year in the Dyson Sphere. Exploration of the Sphere’s surface continues. Some teams do get into trouble from time to time. Anna Jones escapes from the Empire she was trapped in at the end of the previous year, into Commonwealth space. She decides to visit some of the Commonwealth’s worlds. She does so. She rescues the Section 31 agent from the Commonwealth’s ‘Section 41’ (The Commonwealth’s version of Section 31). Then a month later, the Enterprise SCC 2701 has to rescue both of them from Section 41. The captain is convinced that Section 41 sees the Federation as a threat to the Commonwealth, though he doesn’t know why. They soon have to stop a conspiracy from taking over the Commonwealth. After this the Commonwealth Starfleet Command orders the Enterprise to take Anna and the agent back to the Federation, and to make contact with it. On the edge of Federation space they contact the USS Europa. Anna takes off in her ship. And the Section 31 agent has to take one of the Europa’s shuttles to follow her. Unbeknownst to them some of the Section 41 agents who had been shadowing the Enterprise follow them. Anna runs off in the direction of the Galactic rim, away from both the Federation and the Commonwealth, planet hopping as she had been before she ran into the Commonwealth. She mainly visits pre-industrial planets, where some of the agents following her interfere with the local cultures slightly. (Mostly the Section 41 agents.) The Enterprise/Europa contact goes well. The Europa sends the information about the Commonwealth to Starfleet Command. They order the Europa to stay where it is, and to stall the Enterprise until they could make a decision… It is mostly peaceful at Deep Space Nine, and on Bajor, though not necessarily so on Cardassia. 2419 The Borg attack some Federation ships near the Dyson Sphere. Gary Seven appears on the Sphere, warning the leader of the Federation expedition there, that a time of trial is approaching. More regions of the Sphere are explored, with more teams running into trouble. As Anna runs from the Federation and the Commonwealth, she runs into some Borg ships fleeing from something. “Not more trouble, maybe I should have run in the opposite direction” she says upon seeing the Borg ships. However whatever is troubling the Borg doesn’t trouble Anna… This is a mostly uneventful year, apart from Gary Seven somehow appearing on her ship, and telling her to prepare for a time of trial. “But he won’t tell me what that trial is” she puts in her log. She stays on a preindustrial planet late in the year, and hangs out with a barbarian tribe who are troubling a Roman-like empire, helping them in raiding it. Unbeknownst to her the Section 41 agents who had been trailing her infiltrate the ranks of that Empire’s military, hoping to capture her. Starfleet Command tells the Europa to keep the existence of the Commonwealth a secret, and to tell the Enterprise that the Federation will make secret contact with the Commonwealth. The captain of the Enterprise doesn’t like this but he agrees and goes back to the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth Council agrees with the Federation stance, and decides to make secret contact with the Federation as well. Knowledge of the other nation is on a need to know basis in both Starfleets. At Deep Space Nine, the Cardassian bid to join the Federation is turned down. The New Dominion raids some Federation and Klingon colonies, but doesn’t declare war. 2420 Some civilisations in the Dyson Sphere attack the Federation and Klingon presence in the Sphere, the reason for this is not known at the end of the year. In the meantime, many discoveries are made about the Sphere, though not before many teams get in trouble… Anna accompanies some of the barbarians on a raid on the empire. She is captured by one of the Section 41 agents. He tells her that she shouldn’t have found the Commonwealth, and that general knowledge of the Federation, and its Earth in particular could be very devastating to its society. He wants to take her back to the Commonwealth Earth where she would be held prisoner in a facility in its Aotearoa. (Not New Zealand? She asks herself, wondering what would cause the difference). She is interrogated briefly before the Section 31 agent rescues her with the help of the empire’s version of Section 31. After they had gotten her to safety, the agent reveals to Anna the truth about his/her work and Section 31. Anna doesn’t like this one bit, and runs off, crashing her ship on another continent of the planet, leaving the agent to fight in the empire against the Section 41 agents. Anna realises she has to get back to the empire before she can get off the planet. She then spends half of the year getting back there, encountering many tribes and civilisations along the way. When she gets back, she finds that the empire is not as it has been, with the fighting between the agents having devastated it, having exasperated the empire’s troubles. She then steals one of the Section 41 ships and leaves the planet, heading in the direction of the Klingon Empire. She doesn’t get there before December though, running into Gary Seven again. He sends her on a mission on Preserver/Human planet… After this she finds that she was followed by the agents. In the Gamma Quadrant, tensions between the Federation and its allies and the New Dominion increase… Cardassia has a lot more troubles as the ramifications of the refusal of Federation admittance continues to be felt. 2421 There is war in the Dyson Sphere as groups that do not like the UFP/Klingon/First Federation/etc presence in the Sphere, attack their presence in the Sphere, and the civilisations that had allied with them. In the midst of this the Borg attempt to assimilate the Sphere, though their attack is driven off with a lot of success. The war comes to an end towards the end of the year. More secrets are discovered about the Sphere, which have mainly to do with how the Dyson Builders sculpted the landscape of the Sphere. Anna enters the Klingon Empire and visits many of their worlds, including Qo’nos. However the Commonwealth agents and the Section 31 agent follow her into Klingon space. A Klingon Imperial Intelligence agent approaches Anna and tells her about her predicament. It also appears that the Klingons know about the Commonwealth as well. Also it seems that the Federation Council wants her for breaking the Prime Directive. “I am not a Starfleet officer, I was never in the Academy” she says. “It seems that they want you anyway, you have disrupted cultures on many planets, your journey seems to have caused a lot of havoc, and the Federation Council wants to talk to you” the agent says. “What about the High Council, what do they say?” she asks. “The Chancellor knows you are in Klingon territory, as for the rest of the Council I don’t know, but he says that you may stay as long as you wish” He says. Anna decides to stay in Klingon space for a while, and she does. She leaves Klingon space in the middle of the year in the opposite direction to the one she entered it, and then planet-hops on warp-capable planets towards the galactic rim. With the Section 31 agent, a Federation starship, the Section 41 agents, a Commonwealth starship (but not the Enterprise), the Klingon I.I. agent and a Klingon Defence Force ship following her. Tensions between the Federation alliance and the New Dominion continue to increase, many of the Federation’s media outlets predict that war would start in the next year. Cardassia stabilises. The planet Ratalita, in the Gamma Quadrant, joins the Federation, at the end of the year. The ancient station orbiting it becomes a Starfleet station. 2422 Anna continues to run along the edge of the Galaxy, in the direction of the Gamma Quadrant, she is still pursued, by all who were pursuing her in the previous year. She visits many warp capable planets, and then pre-warp post-industrial planets when warp capable planets become few and far between. In the middle of the year, she lands on a pre-industrial planet and is resting in a village when Gary Seven meets her. “You have to stop running Anna! You have left havoc behind you, and you would create more” he says. “It is not just me! It is the agents following me as well” Anna says. “They are causing havoc where they are causing havoc because they are following you” Gary says. “And if I continue what I am doing?” Anna asked. “More havoc would be caused, and more people would be following you, creating havoc themselves and fighting, one thing I am sure that you don’t want, and that is for the Borg to be following you, and that will happen eventually” Gary said. “So you are saying it will end with a lot of chaos in the Galaxy and my being assimilated?” Anna asks. Being assimilated was definitely something she did not want to experience. “That is one way it could end, there are many possibilities, it is your choice, if not for your choice to explore the Galaxy, the Federation and the Commonwealth would have not known of each other for decades, possibly a century, now they know of each other, also the Kalateo Empire on the planet which they call Lateoval, you know whereof I speak, would still be standing, whereas it has now fallen and barbarians are destroying knowledge all over its former lands. Lateoval’s history would have been entirely different. There is practically no telling what effect that would have in the centuries and millennia ahead. The havoc that has been caused has weakened both the Federation and the Commonwealth, and possibly the Klingons also, they might fall sooner than they otherwise would have” Gary said. “It is my choice?” Anna asks. “It is, I, or the organisation whom I represent, will not hinder you, it is up to you” Gary says. Anna stays in that village for a month while thinking. She then leaves the planet and plots a course towards Lateoval, wondering whether Gary Seven had been truthful about the Kalateo Empire falling. She quickly passes through the core-ward edge of the Federation on the way. She arrives at Lateoval 3 months after leaving where she met Gary Seven. She finds that the Kalateo Empire had fallen, and that barbarians had been and still were sacking most of its cities. She finds that its great libraries had been burned. The future for Lateoval had changed. ‘I hope the Preservers had taken heed and saved some of the Kalateo culture’ she thinks shortly before leaving the planet. She then sets course for the Commonwealth Earth. In her wake the Federation starship sends down some crewmembers to investigate the aftermath of the Kalateo’s fall. She arrives at the edge of Commonwealth space at the end of the year, after visiting many uninhabited planets along the way. ‘I can’t cause havoc where there is no one around’ she thinks. The tensions between the Federation alliance and the New Dominion decrease. Cardassia stabilises more. The station orbiting Ratalita is opened as a Federation station. It is Gamma Station Three. It is a base for exploration of nearby sectors of the Gamma Quadrant. Many first contacts are made at the station. 2423 Anna enters the Commonwealth and ship pushes the engines of the ship she is in as fast they can go. That however still draws the attention of Section 41. The recently refitted Enterprise SCC 2701 has to rescue her from them. The captain offers to take her to Earth. She accepts, as the Enterprise can go faster than the ship. It takes a week to get there. The Section 31 agent, the Federation starship, and the Klingons follow the Enterprise. On arrival at CPN Earth, she goes to Starfleet Command, and asks them to call off the Commonwealth pursuit. One of the Admirals takes her aside and says that they have no control over Section 41, and they would pursue her anyway. She realises she would have to lose Section 41 anyhow. She then apologises for the havoc caused in the Commonwealth, and beams back up to the Enterprise with the Enterprise officers. The Commonwealth Starfleet Command and the Commonwealth Council decide that to keep on following Anna, would probably lead to a possible conflict with the Federation. The Enterprise is ordered to contact the Federation starship and to ask them to take Anna back to the Federation. The Enterprise meets with the Starship Alabama and the Alabama takes Anna back to the Federation. The Alabama drops Anna off on a Federation planet, after 3 months of travel time. Anna stays on the planet exploring it for 6 weeks. Then Q appears to her. “Let me guess, the Continuum wants you to follow me. I have made amends to the Commonwealth for causing havoc there!” Anna says. “You may have made amends to the Commonwealth, but what about all those primitive worlds, where the agents following you have messed things up, not to mention Lateoval where you actually did interfere. The Kalateo had potential” Q says. “Fine click your fingers, fix the problems, the Continuum can do it” Anna says. “If the Continuum did do that sort of thing, they would be no better than the Borg, or many other races who set themselves up as false gods, If it was me a century ago, I would have been only too happy to do it, but now, I have an example to keep and the Continuum would probably strip me of my powers again” Q says. “I don’t know what to do about it, you want me to go to Earth and make amends to the Federation too? Or wait for Gary Seven and give him some sort of message from the Continuum?” Anna says. “It is your choice to make amends to the Federation, as for Gary Seven, it is none of your business what the Continuum thinks of him and the organisation he represents” Q says. “I think I will go to Earth, make amends, and maybe then go around and try to fix some of the problems I caused. It is too late for Lateoval maybe, but probably not for most of the planets” Anna says. “That is a good attitude, I can and allowed to provide a transportation service, for a limited amount of time” Q says. “I accept your offer” Anna says. “Where to?” Q asks. “Earth, San Francisco” Anna says, without hesitation as she wants to clear her record with Starfleet Command before approaching the Federation Council. Q clicks his fingers and he and Anna appear in San Francisco. Anna knows where she is when she appears there. “When you are finished with the making of the amends with the Federation I shall be at a famous Creole Restaurant in New Orleans, the food there is worthy of the Continuum” Q says, and he vanishes in the customary flash of light. Anna goes to Starfleet Command and after explaining that Q brought her to Earth apologises for the havoc caused in the Federation. Starfleet Command wants to punish her for breaking the Prime Directive. However the Federation Council, after much deliberation, clears her of all charges and allows her to go on her way. In the meantime, the Section 41 agents and the Klingons are thrown off Anna’s trail by Q’s teleportation of Anna; they go back to the Commonwealth and the Klingon Empire respectively. Anna arrives at the Sisko’s Creole Restaurant in New Orleans a month after arriving on Earth, at the beginning of July. After having a meal there she leaves Earth with Q again. She and Q travel to various planets she had affected, those that Q says can be helped. Also they travel to the planets randomly, so that no one would be able to make sense of Anna’s journeying. This happens for 3 months. Then Q says that he has to leave her. “And now the Continuum says that I must leave you alone, most of the planets that can be helped have been, maybe I will introduce the Commonwealth to the Borg…” Q says. “I will see you again?” Anna asks. “Time will tell” Q says. “I think introducing the Commonwealth to the Borg would produce more havoc that they can I’ll afford at this time” Anna says. “You are right of course, the Commonwealth will probably learn of the Borg from the Federation, and now I must go” Q says, and he waves goodbye, and in a flash, he is gone, and Anna is back where she was 4 months before. She finds that the ship she had come in was as she left it, she sets out to explore again setting a course for the planet where she last met Gary Seven. She planet hops on warp capable and uninhabited planets all the way there, and arrives there at the end of the year. Gary Seven is waiting for her when she lands where they had met before. “So? Have I averted more havoc, as you would have put it?” Anna asks. “You have, making amends with both the Commonwealth and the Federation was good. You should have had taken my word about Lateoval though, you could have saved time, and not had needed help from the Q Continuum” Gary Seven says. “How did you know about me being with Q? And it was just one Q, one who is well known to the Federation at that” Anna asks “You were observed with him” Gary Seven says. “Anyway, without his help the Klingons and Section 41 would still be following me, and I would have been here a year later” Anna says. “True and you have done a good job fixing things at those planets, without Q’s help of course” Gary Seven says. “Good” Anna says. “And now you can continue with your exploration where you left off, you can continue going where you were going before, other than the organisation I work for and the Q Continuum, the area of space ahead is unknown to the Federation, the Klingons, the Commonwealth, the Borg and all other organisations you know about” Gary says. “So I could just keep on going and it is mostly safe?” Anna asks. “It isn’t that safe, but the Borg are not there – yet, and there is nothing like the Federation or the Commonwealth there either” Gary says. “Ok” Anna says. And so Gary Seven leaves, Anna leaves the planet after staying overnight. Gary Seven didn’t need to tell her not to cause havoc, she had learned her lesson. She leaves the planet and heads off into the unknown, towards the Delta Quadrant… The Federation alliance makes a temporary peace with the New Dominion. At Gamma Station Three, more first contacts are made. 2424 At Gamma Station Three, some of the new species come to trade. The USS Felis NCC 100247 begins its 8 year voyage of exploration in the Gamma Quadrant. The Enterprise (NCC 1701-F) begins exploring to one side of the Alabama’s route from the Commonwealth to the Federation. They become involved in a situation on a planet that had been affected by Anna’s journey. (And that hadn’t been visited by Anna and Q). They also explore a nebula. 2425 More exploration and trade from Gamma Station Three. The Felis discovers Preserver planets, with cultures from Earth, Bajor and Tellar along its exploration path. 2426 More exploration and trade from Gamma Station Three The Felis makes many discoveries. At the Dyson Sphere, one of the civilisations joins the Federation, after being allied with the Federation for the past few years. 2427 Rumour of a threat deadlier than the Dominion reaches Gamma Station Three, and from the descriptions, it isn’t the Borg… More discoveries and first contacts are made. The Felis hears of a separate threat. 2428 Gamma Station Three is attacked by an anti-Federation alliance of worlds, beginning the 2nd Gamma War. This war doesn’t escalate beyond the Ratalita system though. The Felis doesn’t hear about the 2nd Gamma War at this time. It makes some first contacts. And finds a pre-industrial Preserver world where there are many cultures from different Federation worlds on it, including Bajorans, Tellarites and Nasats. Anna Jones, after going across space where there are no interstellar nations, runs into a nation which seems to be under attack by an alliance of Species 8472 and Hirogen hunters. She finds that Species 8472 and the hunters were acting independently. She realises that she can do nothing to help them. She continues on her way. 2429 Gamma Station Three prevails in the 2nd Gamma War which ends towards the end of the year. The Felis makes more discoveries. 2430 The Felis runs into trouble often, but still makes friendly first contacts. Conditions on Cardassia have improved enough for another application to be made for Federation membership. 2432 The Felis completes its mission and returns to Federation space. 3433 Tom Paris retires from his personal exploration of the Alpha Quadrant, and settles down on Earth. He gives the Alpha Flyer to Miral’s son, who starts exploring himself. 2434 The Enterprise, during exploration of a star system, makes first contact with a very unusual species, which have a ritual for everything. The amount of ritual makes for a very tedious first contact. 2436 At the Dyson Sphere more discoveries are made about the Sphere’s origins. 2437 Anna, after over a decade of exploration, decides to head back to the Federation to see how it has changed in her absence. 2439 The Cardassians join the Federation. 2442 At Gamma Station Three, a hidden data module is recovered that gives the Federation more information about the station’s early history. Anna accidentally interferes on a pre-industrial society, giving advice to the inhabitants of an island under threat by a colonial empire. 2443 The Felis returns to Federation space after its second long range exploratory mission 2445 The Federation gains its 225th member. The Voyager-A is decommissioned, with the Voyager-B being commissioned. 2448 The Commonwealth and the Federation enter into an alliance, after the Federation gives the Commonwealth information about the Borg. If one nation is attacked, the other will also attack the aggressor. The Enterprise whilst exploring near the galactic rim, makes first contact with an extra-galactic explorer, who says that she has found the Milky Way to be very like her home galaxy. The explorer soon leaves, leaving the Enterprise crew and the Federation with a mystery. 2450 The Felis begins its 4th long range exploration mission… By this time the Federation has perfected Quantum Slipstream Drive and most Starfleet ships have it. 2451 The Felis enters unexplored space for the 4th time, discovers some unique civilisations. 2452 The Felis continues its mission. The Enterprise F is almost destroyed protecting a Federation colony from an unknown aggressor. It requires a refit before the ship is space worthy again. At the Dyson Sphere another civilisation (a small one) joins the Federation. 2453 The Felis discovers yet another duplicate Earth, this one is 2500 years behind the Federation Earth, with a Rome under Julius Caesar that has 19th Century technology. Other civilisations on this Earth include a China under the Han Dynasty, a Carthage in Exile and Parthia. The Enterprise F re-enters service towards the end of the year, after 18 months of refit. Anna Jones returns to the Federation. She then begins to write an integrated account of her journeys. 2454 The Felis enters an area where there are only pre-warp planets. 2455 The Enterprise has a joint mission with a Commonwealth ship, investigating a possible threat to both nations… Some Cardassian colonies leave the Federation. The Felis encounters many Preserver planets. 2456 The Felis has an uneventful year in its journey. A duplicate of the USS Voyager NCC 74656 arrives at the Federation. What is strange is that the ship appears to be the Voyager, it is definitely not from a parallel universe, and the surviving crew and their descendents are definitely who they say they are… The 2nd Voyager crew is shocked to discover that the original (?) Voyager had made it home 68 years earlier. 2457 The Felis encounters more rumours of the threat it had heard of in its previous voyages…. 2458 The Felis has many minor battles, when it encounters a syndicate of trading worlds that also engages in piracy. The Enterprise begins a 2 year voyage of exploration. A major diplomatic function is held at Gamma Station Three. 2459 The Felis returns to Federation space. 2460 The Federation gains its 240th member, a Klingon colony that had left the Empire. At this time the Federation and the Empire are still allies. The Enterprise explores a nebula near Commonwealth space. 2461 The Enterprise F crew prevents a conspiracy from taking over the Federation, with the help of Section 31. 2463 Miral’s son barely escapes from the destruction of the Alpha Flyer, and hitchhikes back to the Federation. It is later revealed that Section 41 was responsible for the destruction as he had been getting too close to a secret Commonwealth facility… 2464 In the Dyson Sphere, a cavern is found beneath its largest mountain. It contains a record of the Sphere’s history. 2466 Anna’s account of her journeys is published. It doesn’t mention the Commonwealth, Gary Seven or what happened to the Kalateo Empire. 2469 At Deep Space Nine, an event predicted by a Bajoran Prophesy occurs. 2470 At Gamma Station Three, an exploratory ship drops out of transwarp, making first contact with the Federation… 2472 In the middle of its 7th exploratory mission the Felis makes contact with a race that fits the description of the threat they had been hearing rumours about. The ship then heads directly back towards the Gamma part of the Federation, to warn them. 2473 At Gamma Station Three, a new program of exploration starts. 2474 There are more first contacts at GS3, and some mysterious attacks start against Federation colonies in the near vicinity. 2475 The mysterious attacks continue against Federation colonies near GS3. The Federation gains its 240th Member. The Enterprise F is decommissioned in January. The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 G is launched in November. 2476 The attacks continue against colonies near to GS3, a taskforce arrives for further investigation of those attacks. 2477 The taskforce finds that the New Dominion has nothing to do with the attacks. The attacks continue 2478 A Klingon colony is destroyed by the perpetrators of the mysterious attacks near GS3, the Klingons use this as an excuse to re-start conquest, they start invading independent worlds near to GS3. They hope to conquer the world the attacks are coming from and bring them to an end. Meanwhile the attacks continue in intensity. 2479 The Klingon conquest near GS3 continues. A member of Section 31 arrives on GS3 to help the station crew investigate the source of the mysterious attacks, which continue. The Federation and the Commonwealth stop an attempted Borg invasion of Lateoval, a portion of which is still reeling from the fall of the Kalateo Empire. Only 1 city of one of the other civilisations one the planet is scooped up by the Cube. The 2 nations set up a base in the Lateoval system in case the Borg come back. (Unbeknownst to either of them the Borg had assimilated information that Anna had left on another pre-industrial planet a few years after she had been with Q.) Anthony Paris (Tom and B’Elanna’s great grandson), begins exploring in the Alpha Flyer 2. 2480 The Klingon conquest slows down. The mysterious attacks continue near GS3. Gamma Base 26 is commissioned and begins operations. The Federation and the Dominion sign an alliance against the perpetrators of the mysterious attacks at GS3. The Commonwealth sets up a secret base in the Dyson Sphere. 2481 The Klingon conquest force and the Starfleet forces based at GS3 uncover the perpetrators of the attacks. A civilisation previously thought to be reclusive. Backed into a corner they declare war on the Federation and the Klingons. The Dominion and the Commonwealth also join this war, though their presence much less than the Federation and the Klingons. Exploration is carried out from Gamma Base 26 2481 The civilisation that caused the mysterious attacks is defeated. The Klingons then withdraw from the planets that they had conquered. Many first contacts are made at Gamma Base 26. Starfleet Command forms a covert exploration arm to specifically explore ahead of ‘official’ explorers. Anna’s granddaughter Belle decides to follow in her grandmother’s footsteps… 2482 Exploration continues from Gamma Base 26 2483 A Ferengi expedition arrives at Gamma Base 26 with rumours of a civilisation that is more capitalist than Ferenginar. 2484 A ship is sent from GB 26 to investigate the hyper-capitalist rumour. The Federation gains its 270th member, Capella IV. At Deep Space Nine, and on Bajor, there is a crisis when logs are recovered from the Terok Nor/Old DS9 Museum that implicate the Emissary in a conspiracy that resulted in the Romulans joining in the Dominion War in the previous century. 2485 It is peaceful at GB26 The Felis is decommissioned after its 8th long range mission in the Gamma Quadrant. The Mus is commissioned and begins its 1st long range mission. 2486 The Tetari Consortium (The hyper-capitalist civilisation) makes first contact with the Federation at Gamma Base 26 The Mus leaves known space. 2487 A representative of a Tetari Uber-Corporation comes to GB 26. Section 31 sends some agents to GB 26 to determine whether any of The Tetari Uber-Corps would pose a threat to the Federation. The Mus is bogged down at an apparently pre-industrial planet when some natives take their warp core… The USS New Horizons carries out 3 short-range exploration missions in the Gamma Quadrant, close to GB 26. 2488 At GB 26, there is another first contact. The Mus regains their warp core and they get on their way again. The New Horizons carries out 4 more short-range exploration missions in the GQ. The Federation gains its 275th member. 2493 The Klingon Empire withdraws from some of the former Romulan systems that they had conquered a century before. 2494 Belle returns to the Federation after her exploratory journey. 2496 The Commonwealth establishes a base in the Dyson Sphere. 2497 At the Dyson Sphere, there is a minor crisis when a Starfleet officer breaks the Prime Directive and an industrial age civilisation begins to conquer the surrounding (pre-industrial, but still post-Iron Age) civilisations. 2498 The previous years’ crisis grows when another civilisation threatens to use nuclear weapons against the expanding civilisation if the Federation and its allies don’t stop the expansion by the end of the year. The Federation attempts diplomatic mediation but to no avail. 2499 The civilisation that threatened use of nuclear weapons uses them. As a result about 0.001% of the sphere’s surface begins to experience nuclear winter, after there is a MAD scenario with another nuclear power civilisation nearby. The climatic conditions of an additional 0.1% of the sphere is affected in some way by the nuclear winter. The Federation tries to bring relief to that area of the Sphere, but they have to evacuate a large amount of people to other areas of the Sphere… 2500 The situation in the Sphere continues to deteriorate, with some groups attacking the Federation/Klingon/Commonwealth etc presence in the Sphere, climatic conditions near the nuked zone continue to get worse, as the nuclear winter zone continues to expand. 2501 Many civilisations begin to battle against each other in the Sphere as paranoia runs rife with accusations by some civs against other civs continue to increase, the Starfleet Corps of Engineers in called in to find a way to stop the climatic conditions in the area of the Sphere near the MAD’ed areas getting any worse, and maybe improve the area’s. 2502 The SCE is stumped as to whether there is a way to influence the Sphere’s climate, there is still a lot that is mysterious about the Sphere. The wars continue, some civilisations continue to ally themselves with the Federation. The climatic conditions in the nuke war affected area continue to worsen. 2503 For some reason the climatic conditions begin to be repaired. The SCE surmise that the built-in climate control system of the Sphere took some time to begin to repair the climatic problems caused by the MAD scenario due to the age of the Sphere. The area affected by the nuclear winter and the surrounding climatic problems begins to shrink. The wars continue. 2504 The SCE teams locate a localised climate control system near to the MAD affected area. They try to figure out a solution to the problem as the Sphere continues to fix the problems by themselves. The wars reduce, due to diplomacy succeeding. 2505 The climatic conditions in that area of the Sphere continue to improve. The area directly affected by the nuclear winter has decreased by 5%. The wars caused by the situation have stopped by the end of the year.
Part 2 2508 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 H is commissioned, most of the crew of the previous Enterprise serve on this one at one point or another. 2511 50% of the adversely affected areas of the Dyson Sphere have recovered from nuclear winter. 2515 The Enterprise H crew prevents a conspiracy taking over a Federation planet. 2520 The Federation gains its 300th member. 2526 The 6th duplicate Voyager arrives at the Federation. This one is obviously a fake, however the crew think that their ancestors were the genuine articles. (Even though it is found that they are of previously unknown species) 2533 The beginnings of Sphere Builder activities in the Alpha Quadrant. 2541 The Sphere-Builder War breaks out, with the Alpha Quadrant and Gamma Quadrant Powers united against the Sphere Builders. (With the United Federation of Planets leading, as it is the largest power) Before 2553 The Enterprise H is lost in the Sphere-Builder War, the USS Enterprise NCC 1701 I is commissioned and then is soon also lost in the Sphere-Builder War , and the USS Enterprise NCC 1701 J is commissioned. 2553 The Battle of Procyon V. The Enterprise-J plays an important role in this battle, which turns the tide against the Sphere Builders. Unbeknownst to the crew of the Enterprise, two time travellers, one from the 31st Century and the other from the 22nd briefly appear (Daniels and Archer obviously). 2562 The Sphere-Builder War comes to an end, although there is plenty of repair work to be done in the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. The Prophets had somehow protected the Bajoran System (and apparently the Gamma Quadrant as well) from the effects of the Sphere-Builders’ Expanse. The interior of the Dyson Sphere is also similarly insulated. 2572 The Federation Council, and the Commonwealth Council declare that the Alpha/Beta Quadrants have mostly recovered from the effects of the Sphere-Builder War. 2583 The existence of the Commonwealth becomes widely known in the Federation, and also the existence of the Federation becomes widely known in the Commonwealth. Both political entities face problems due to the similarities of their Earths, particularly in their Human populations. The implications the existence of each other to the other entity, will continue to reverberate for hundreds of years. 2595 By this time the citizens of the Federation and the Commonwealth regularly visit the other nation, as the routes between them which were travelled by Anna almost 2 centuries before become widely travelled. The Enterprise J is decommissioned. 2608 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 K is commissioned. At the time it is the largest Federation starship ever constructed (which is why it took so long to long to commission) 2622 The Federation admits its 450th member, the Commonwealth its 225th member. 2637 A planet close to the Galactic edge joins the Federation. The last planetary visit by the Federation or the Commonwealth before 2666 occurs at Lateoval. 2653 The Enterprise-K mysteriously disappears. This disappearance will remain unsolved for millennia. Late 2656 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701-L is commissioned. 2663 The Enterprise explores to the Core-ward of the Federation, as part of a Starfleet program to explore along the paths of Voyager and its duplicates. 2664 The Enterprise returns to the Federation and is patrols its border with the Tzenkethi. 2665 The Enterprise explores near the Galactic rim. It is also involved in an incident with a Federation scientist. The scientist had invented a nuclear inhibitor, which he calls the Tox Utaht. The Enterprise finds itself chased by Vogon criminals when Kal Dano (the scientist) comes on board with the inhibitor. The Vogons chase the Enterprise into the heart of the Federation. When the Vogons threaten to destroy the Enterprise, Dano hacks into the Enterprise computer and the Enterprise travels through time to the 22nd Century. Upon their return the Enterprise crew reflect that legends dating back to the 24th Century had been verified. 2666 The Enterprise visits many pre-industrial worlds. One of these is Lateoval, where they find that the area formerly occupied by the Kalateo Empire has begun to recover from the centuries of barbarism. 2667 The Enterprise explores along the Galactic rim, close to where Anna had explored 2 centuries earlier, (The Federation has explored a 20 light year radius around her route from where had met Gary Seven, until she had returned to the Federation, by this time, with the exception of some areas of the route that have been conquered by the Borg.) 2668 The Enterprise does some more exploration, and stops a conspiracy from taking over a Federation colony. 2669 The Enterprise makes contact with a Voth City Ship which was exploring distant regions of the galaxy. The Voth had hardly changed from when Voyager had contact with them 3 centuries before. The contact doesn’t go well, and the City Ship returns to the Delta Quadrant. 2670 The Enterprise explores, they stop another conspiracy taking over another Federation colony. This conspiracy seems to be connected to the earlier one. The Voth Elders decide that the existence of both the Federation and the Commonwealth presents a threat to Voth Doctrine. They then declare a Crusade against the 2 Astro-political entities. 2671 A remote Commonwealth outpost falls to the Voth, in the first attack of the Crusade, the war will become known as the Voth War to the citizens of the Federation and the Commonwealth. The Enterprise is part of a task force sent to investigate the loss of communication with the outpost. A Voth fleet is present. About 10 sectors (out of thousands) fall to the Voth before the end of the year. 2672 The Voth War continues. 20 more sectors fall to the Voth. The Commonwealth and the Dominion join in on the Federation’s side. The Tholians declare neutrality. 2673 The Voth make more inroads in Federation, and now Commonwealth territory. The Tzenkethi join the Federation/Commonwealth Alliance. It is found that the Voth are massacring any human populations that they encounter, irrespective of whether they originate in the Federation or the Commonwealth. The Enterprise is often on the front lines. The Galaxy’s Edge Station is set up, on the edge of the Galaxy, far away from the Voth war front. 2674 The front lines of the Voth War continue to move back and forth across 1 thousand light years of space, throughout the year, in both Federation and Commonwealth space. Cardassia is briefly occupied, there is a battle at Deep Space Nine, but the Bajorans, a Starfleet fleet led by the Enterprise and the Dominion defeat the Voth attempt to enter the Wormhole, and occupy the station and Bajor. At the end of the year the Voth are in retreat, and the allies have taken the war to Voth Space in the Delta Quadrant. Some extragalactic visitors make first contact with the Federation at the Galaxy’s Edge station. 2675 The Voth War comes to an end by the end of the year. The Alliance had gained help from Species 8472 and various Hirogen hunting groups in the war by March, the Voth had withdrawn from the Alpha/Beta Quadrants by June and by October the Voth elders had decided that to continue would probably risk Voth extinction. The Enterprise re-starts exploring after the war ends. 2676 The USS Yorktown NCC 20070611 runs from the Federation, a fact that only the Captain of the ship knows about. The crew think they are on a long range exploration mission. The Yorktown runs into a region towards the Galactic core that is still unexplored. 2677 More first contacts at the Galaxy’s Edge Station The Yorktown discovers a partial duplicate of Earth, the sentient species is still Human, and the Old World is the same, but the New World is completely different. This Earth is about 1200 years behind, with its Columbus sailing into a completely different area than our Columbus. 2678 The Yorktown continues to flee from the Federation. Some ships leave the Federation in pursuit of the Yorktown. 2679 At the Galaxy’s Edge Station, more ships leave to explore the Near-Galactic space. The Yorktown defends a pre-industrial planet from a Borg incursion. It appeared that the Borg were intending to assimilate the planet slowly. They also make contact with explorers from a duplicate Vulcan. 2680 The Enterprise makes contact with the Telaxian Homeworld as part of a Federation/Commonwealth program to explore the region that the original Voyager explored in its first 3 years in the Delta Quadrant before they ran into the Borg. The USS Endeavour NCC 11607002, one of the ships chasing after the Yorktown discovers the partial duplicate of Earth. After investigating it, (in particular the European reactions to Columbus’s descriptions of the New World) they head back towards the Federation. 2681 At Galaxy’s Edge, a Federation ship comes back with news of a second Doomsday Machine similar to that encountered by the Enterprise and the Constellation in 2267. The Federation mobilises a fleet to intercept the supposed machine. The Yorktown runs at high Slipstream into the core, where they discover many wonders including Iconian remnant civilisations, duplicates of Cardassia, Qo’nos, Tellar and Pacifica, and another Dyson Sphere, this one is different in that it has at least 10 M-Class planets and 3 different Ringworlds inside it. This Sphere is even more populated than the one that the Federation/Commonwealth etc is familiar with. The planets and the Ringworlds are also very populated. The Endeavour arrives at the Federation. Starfleet Command sends it out again, and then sends other ship to investigate the Partial Duplicate of Earth further. 2682 The Yorktown leaves the Core into the Gamma Quadrant. The USS Diamond NCC 26821217 arrives at the partial duplicate of Earth. 2684 The Enterprise returns to Federation space. The Diamond finds that the Spanish are exploring the New World less than they did on the Federation and Commonwealth Earths. The existence of the Duplicate of Earth discovered by the original NCC 1701 (The Miri/Prolongation Project Plague Earth), is declassified, towards the end of the year. 2685 At Galaxy’s Edge a Kelvan ambassador arrives. The Yorktown confronts a Section 31 group that had been following them through the years since they left the Federation throughout this year. There is some social turmoil in the Federation as a result of the information being released that Kirk had discovered a duplicate Earth. There is a lot of discussion. Counterfactual historians (both professional and amateur) ponder what would have had happened if the information was released earlier. The effects of the genetic bottleneck caused by there being only 2 Humpback Whales being rescued through time 4 centuries before have become apparent by this time. (with the Whales being extinct on the duplicate Earths discovered so far as well) The Diamond continues to study the partial duplicate of Earth (which doesn’t have Humpbacks) 2686 The Yorktown is thrown through a wormhole into a distant portion of the Delta Quadrant (away from any Federation or Commonwealth presence). This throws off the Section 31 pursuit. (Though the crew doesn’t realise that there are a few agents among them) The Endeavour makes many first contacts with worlds just beginning to use warp drive. The USS Tolkien NCC 19361956 which had been following the Yorktown’s trail, makes contact with explorers from the same duplicate Vulcan that was previously contacted by the Yorktown. The Gamma Quadrant duplicate Earth (discovered by the Felis 2 centuries before) accomplishes warp drive. The Roman Empire ruled by Marcus Aurelius is the nation that launched the warp ship. The Federation and the Dominion make first contact with it. 2687 The Tolkien heads back towards the Federation. 2688 The Yorktown begins to explore the region of the galaxy it is in. Towards the end of the year the first officer finds out the real reason why the ship left the Federation, he confronts the Captain, who says that nothing can be done about it now, as the Yorktown crew are in just as much trouble as he is. The first officer is sworn to secrecy so as to keep crew morale up. 2689 When visiting a preindustrial planet, some of the Enterprise crew become involved in a quest with some of the natives (despite the Prime Directive, it still gets broken sometimes even in the 27th Century). The Tolkien arrives back at the Federation. The Tolkien is soon sent back onto the Yorktown hunt. A small fleet is sent to make official contact with the duplicate Vulcan. 2691 The Federation fleet arrives at the duplicate Vulcan towards the end of the year. The Vulcans are logically surprised about the existence of the Federation Vulcan. 2694 The Federation signs the Temporal Accords. 2698 The Commonwealth signs the Temporal Accords 2703 The Enterprise makes first contact with a Carthaginian Star Empire based on a Preserver world. 2709 At Galaxy’s Edge, Q arrives and issues the senior staff a challenge. 2716 More of the Yorktown crew find out the real reason behind the ships ‘mission’ throughout the year. Morale drops a little as a result of this. 2724 The Diamond returns to the Federation from its 4th study of the partial duplicate of Earth. 2733 The Endeavour returns to the Federation after a decade of having no leads as to the location of the Yorktown. 2743 The Tolkien returns to the Federation after having no leads on the Yorktown for 15 years. 2753 The Enterprise L is decommissioned 2754 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 M is commissioned. 2766 The duplicate Vulcan joins the Federation, it is the 700th Member of the Federation. The Commonwealth has 425 members at this time. 2779 The Federation gains its 705th member, a world that had gained warp flight 50 years before, it is also one of those world that had been affected by Anna Jones’s journey about 350 years before. The Federation now shares a common border with the Commonwealth. 2793 At Khitomer, the 500th anniversary of the Khitomer accords is celebrated. Khitomer has been in the Federation for centuries by this point. 2808 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 N is commissioned. (The Enterprise M having been destroyed or decommissioned by this point). By this point Starfleet has taken on a temporal monitoring/policing role, in cooperation with the Federation’s Temporal Integrity Commission. 2824 Braxton joins Starfleet Academy. 2839 The Federation is involved in a minor Time War against the Carthaginian Star Empire through this year. In the final resulting timeline, the war ends after the Commonwealth threatens to join in on the Federation’s side. The Federation and the Commonwealth instigate an amendment to the Temporal Accords so that Time Wars would not be carried out. A conventional cold war ensues. 2855 Starfleet commissions its first exclusive Timeship. The USS Gallifrey NCV 196301119.
Star Trek from the 24th Century onwards... Part 1 (With more revisions, additions and ‘fleshing out’) 2380 Riker assumes command of the Titan, beginning a great voyage of exploration, which is at first delayed for a mission to Romulan space. At first it explores the Gum Nebula, discovering an ecosystem of cosmozoan life, and a society of hunters that is associated with that ecosystem. The Titan crew interfere with what is happening, upsetting the balance, possibly causing a series of disasters. The Enterprise - E continues its mission of Exploration, exploring a previously unexplored star cluster. It is also involved in an incident with Q. And there is also an incident with the Borg… The Federation gains its 155th member. The Koa’s towards the end of the year. Towards the end of the year an event occurs that changes many things in the Federation. The Klingons agree with the Federation to stop their expansion, as the Klingon Empire has overextended itself. 2381 The Enterprise – E makes many first contacts… 2382 The Titan returns from its voyage of exploration to the Federation. 2383 The Federation establishes a colony in the Gamma Quadrant, the Enterprise, Titan and Defiant protect it against a combined attack by Rogue Jem'Hadar and the Cheka... The colony survives, but the Cheka inform the Federation that encroachment on their territory will not be tolerated. The Federation also joins the Particle Fountain Consortium. 2384 At Deep Space 9 they fend off an attack from another universe, in a repeat of an incident from 7 years before. The attack didn’t come from the main Mirror Universe though… The Titan starts another a longer term voyage of exploration. 2385 Romulan Empire collapses due to internal strife, mainly dating from the struggles caused by the rise of Shinzon 6 years earlier. It would take the Romulans a very long time to recover from this as there as many factions fight against each other for control, including the Senate and the Tal Shiar. The Klingons begin to conquer a portion of the former Empire… 2386 Laas has a break with Odo about how to run the Dominion, Laas decides to make his own Dominion, with a small amount of Vorta and Jem'Hadar loyal to him. They breakaway from the now Odo controlled Dominion, forming the New Dominion, a 3rd of the Dominion's worlds belong to the New Dominion. However the Borders of the New Dominion are nowhere near the Wormhole, which is just as well. Klingons establish a colony in the Gamma Quadrant. Romulan refugees start arriving on Vulcan... Some of them are reunificationists. (Though Spock remains on Romulus for the time being), this will have effects on Vulcan (and Romulan) society for a long time to come. 2390 The Titan and the Enterprise respond to a distress call; during the ensuing battle the Titan is destroyed. Riker takes Command of the Enterprise E after the loss of the Titan and Captain Picard. New Dominion ships encounter a Borg cube, though no one in the Alpha Quadrant is aware of it. The Federation gains a member in the Gamma Quadrant (A Yrithny Wanderer Colony) By this time the Romulan Star Empire has completely collapsed. 2392 Doctor Crusher gains command of a medical ship. The Hippocrates. 2395 Dec. the Enterprise E is decommissioned, as it has been incredibly damaged during the last 20 years. 2396 Mar. The Enterprise F is commissioned with Riker in command. The Enterprise’s first mission is to escort some exploration ships back to their nation 2 months travel away from the Federation. The 25th Century 2400 Riker is promoted to Admiral; Tom Paris takes command of the Enterprise F, transferring from the Voyager A, which is then commanded by Icheb. The Voyager A, then goes on a exploration/patrol mission. 2405 The Federation has 5 members in the Gamma Quadrant. 2406 The New Dominion tests Federation Defences around a colony... 2406 Tom Paris resigns command of the Enterprise F, which comes under the command of a new captain. Tom Paris gains a civilian ship and begins explorations on his own, in the direction of the Delta Quadrant. The Enterprise F prevents a conspiracy from taking over the Federation, unknown to them at the time; they receive help from Section 31. 2407 The Enterprise F explores a star cluster to the rim ward of the Federation; they make 2 first contacts with civilisations that had recently gained FTL capability. 2408 The Enterprise patrols the edge of Federation space. 2409 The Enterprise becomes involved in some Political Intrigue involving the Federation and some of its member worlds. They find that the Intrigue involves some of the members of the Federation Council. The Enterprise also patrols the edge of Federation space. 2410 The Enterprise prevents another conspiracy from taking over the Federation, and explores a star cluster to the core-ward of the Federation…. 2411 The Enterprise does more exploration, discovering more Preserver preserved human colonies. These colonies are between Medieval and 20th century technological levels. 2412 The Enterprise helps to prevent yet another conspiracy from taking over the Federation, and patrols the edge of Federation Space. The USS Europa discovers a Dyson Sphere, teeming with life including a great many civilisations, 300 light years from Earth. 2413 The Enterprise protects a Federation colony world from a renegade Klingon fleet which had rebelled against the High Council. The Enterprise also discovers more Preserver colonies in a star cluster near the Galactic rim. The Preserver colonies mainly contain cultures from Earth’s past. The Federation sets up a base in the Dyson Sphere for coordination of exploration and study of the Sphere. During this year the Base makes contact with some of the Sphere’s more advanced civilisations, which ally with the Federation. Several civilisations are found to be human, Andorian, and Bajoran, which fuel speculation that the Preservers might have something to do with the Sphere… 2414 The Enterprise is involved in many unconnected incidents on the edge of the Federation, performs some first contacts, discovers another duplicate of Earth and explores a star cluster to the anti-spin ward of the Federation. The duplicate of Earth, when the Enterprise discovers it, is in its industrial revolution, and that the leading nation is Sweden, followed closely by Britain. (It is noted that this Earth doesn’t have humpback whales.) In the Dyson Sphere, Preserver, Iconian and D’Arcy artefacts are found amongst artefacts of unknown origin, in a previously unexplored region of the Sphere. The Klingons also set up a base in the Sphere. An investigation finds that one of the human based civilisations found is based on the Romans… A new Deep Space Nine is completed, and the old DS9 having come to the end of its working life is decommissioned. The new station is located near where the old one was, near the opening of the wormhole. The Defiant is decommissioned, and is mothballed in a museum orbiting Bajor. A new ship is assigned to the new station. It is also called Defiant. It is the Defiant B. The Federation at this time has 200 members with 10 in the Gamma Quadrant. Spock briefly returns to Vulcan to investigate how the Romulan refugees that had settled there are doing. He finds that most of them are still emotional. 2415 The Enterprise is sent on a lot of routine missions, including following up on previous missions… In the Dyson Sphere more regions are explored. A civilisation from the opposite direction from the Sphere from the Federation discovers the Sphere, and has first contact with the Federation. This first contact goes well. The First Federation sets up a base in the Sphere, so they can study the Sphere first hand. After her graduation from a university on Earth, Anna Jones decides to explore the Galaxy herself. In her first year of exploration she visits many Federation member worlds, deciding to learn more about the Federation before heading off into the unknown. At Deep Space Nine they have to deal with the instability caused by the Cardassians wanting to join the Federation. Most Bajorans think they are not ready. 2416 Due to an experiment at the site of the Genesis Planet, the Genesis Planet regenerates itself. Also regenerated, are the original Enterprise NCC 1701, the USS Reliant, David Marcus, Khan Noonian Singh, and the Klingons who were aboard the Enterprise when it self destructed. The Enterprise-F is sent in to investigate… The civilisation which discovered the Dyson Sphere the previous year set up a base in the Sphere in this year. The Borg discover the Sphere, though this is not known until later… There are hints of deadly secrets being hidden in the Sphere somewhere… Anna Jones leaves the Federation. She hitches a ride in Tom Paris’s Alpha Flyer personal exploration ship, out to the edge of explored territory, in the opposite direction from both the Dyson Sphere, and a new enemy of the Federation. She then planet hops for a year. She makes discoveries that Starfleet won’t for another decade. The Defiant makes does some exploration close to the wormhole. Anti-Federation Terrorist groups perpetrate attacks against Federation activities in Cardassian space. This makes most Bajorans sure that the Cardassians are definitely not ready to join the Federation. The Bajoran member of the Federation Council puts forward a motion to deny the Cardassians entry into the Federation. 2417 A Borg ship is sighted near the Dyson Sphere by both a Starfleet and a Klingon ship in 2 separate incidents. The Gorn discover the Sphere. Anna Jones runs into trouble on a pre-industrial planet, where she had been exploring for a few months. She is then rescued by a Section 31 agent whom had been following her since she had left the Federation. The agent doesn’t reveal this to her though. She then discovers an interstellar nation a lot like the Federation was in the 23rd Century, based on a duplicate Earth. She is picked up by an Enterprise (SCC 2701) led by a Kirk-like captain. She accompanies them on a few missions before heading onwards around the edge of the space known to this ‘Commonwealth of Planetary Nations’ or ‘Commonwealth’ (or ‘CPN’) (whose maps she had been given by the captain), then planet-hops as before, before coming to an Empire at the end of the year. The Section 31 agent decides to urge her to keep the Commonwealth secret when she gets back to the Federation. The agent also barely escapes from the Commonwealth’s version of Section 31, when they persue him. The New Dominion stirs up trouble in the Gamma Quadrant. Cardassia continues to be troubled. Geordi La Forge barely escapes the loss of the Challenger. 2418 It is a peaceful year in the Dyson Sphere. Exploration of the Sphere’s surface continues. Some teams do get into trouble from time to time. Anna Jones escapes from the Empire she was trapped in at the end of the previous year, into Commonwealth space. She decides to visit some of the Commonwealth’s worlds. She does so. She rescues the Section 31 agent from the Commonwealth’s ‘Section 41’ (The Commonwealth’s version of Section 31). Then a month later, the Enterprise SCC 2701 has to rescue both of them from Section 41. The captain is convinced that Section 41 sees the Federation as a threat to the Commonwealth, though he doesn’t know why. They soon have to stop a conspiracy from taking over the Commonwealth. After this the Commonwealth Starfleet Command orders the Enterprise to take Anna and the agent back to the Federation, and to make contact with it. On the edge of Federation space they contact the USS Europa. Anna takes off in her ship. And the Section 31 agent has to take one of the Europa’s shuttles to follow her. Unbeknownst to them some of the Section 41 agents who had been shadowing the Enterprise follow them. Anna runs off in the direction of the Galactic rim, away from both the Federation and the Commonwealth, planet hopping as she had been before she ran into the Commonwealth. She mainly visits pre-industrial planets, where some of the agents following her interfere with the local cultures slightly. (Mostly the Section 41 agents as the Commonwealth’s version of the Prime Directive is less strict.) The Enterprise/Europa contact goes well. The Europa sends the information about the Commonwealth to Starfleet Command. They order the Europa to stay where it is, and to stall the Enterprise until they could make a decision… It is mostly peaceful at Deep Space Nine, and on Bajor, though not necessarily so on Cardassia. 2419 The Borg attack some Federation ships near the Dyson Sphere. Gary Seven appears on the Sphere, warning the leader of the Federation expedition there, that a time of trial is approaching. More regions of the Sphere are explored, with more teams running into trouble. As Anna runs from the Federation and the Commonwealth, she runs into some Borg ships fleeing from something. “Not more trouble, maybe I should have run in the opposite direction” she says upon seeing the Borg ships. However whatever is troubling the Borg doesn’t trouble Anna… This is a mostly uneventful year, apart from Gary Seven somehow appearing on her ship, and telling her to prepare for a time of trial. “But he won’t tell me what that trial is” she puts in her log. That doesn’t stop her from speculating on what the trial would be. She stays on a preindustrial planet late in the year, and hangs out with a barbarian tribe who are troubling a Roman-like empire, helping them in raiding it. Unbeknownst to her the Section 41 agents who had been trailing her infiltrate the ranks of that Empire’s military, hoping to capture her. Starfleet Command tells the Europa to keep the existence of the Commonwealth a secret, and to tell the Enterprise that the Federation will make secret contact with the Commonwealth. The captain of the Enterprise doesn’t like this but he agrees and goes back to the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth Council agrees with the Federation stance, and decides to make secret contact with the Federation as well. Knowledge of the other nation is on a need to know basis in both Starfleets. At Deep Space Nine, the Cardassian bid to join the Federation is turned down. The New Dominion raids some Federation and Klingon colonies, but doesn’t declare war. 2420 Some civilisations in the Dyson Sphere attack the Federation and Klingon presence in the Sphere, the reason for this is not known at the end of the year. In the meantime, many discoveries are made about the Sphere, though not before many of the exploration teams get into trouble… Anna accompanies some of the barbarians on a raid on the empire. She is captured by one of the Section 41 agents. He tells her that she shouldn’t have found the Commonwealth, and that general knowledge of the Federation, and its Earth in particular could be very devastating to its society. He wants to take her back to the Commonwealth Earth where she would be held prisoner in a facility in its Aotearoa. (Not New Zealand? She asks herself, wondering what would cause the difference). She is interrogated briefly before the Section 31 agent rescues her with the help of the empire’s version of Section 31. After they had gotten her to safety, the agent reveals to Anna the truth about his/her work and Section 31. Anna doesn’t like this one bit, and runs off, crashing her ship on another continent of the planet, leaving the agent to fight in the empire against the Section 41 agents. Anna realises she has to get back to the empire before she can get off the planet. She then spends half of the year getting back there, encountering many tribes and civilisations along the way. Some of the civilisations remind her of the Federation and the civilisations that surround it. When she gets back, she finds that the empire is not as it has been, with the fighting between the agents having devastated it, having exasperated the empire’s troubles. She then steals one of the Section 41 ships and leaves the planet, heading in the direction of the Klingon Empire. She doesn’t get there before December though, running into Gary Seven again. He sends her on a mission on Preserver/Human planet… After this she finds that she was followed by the agents. In the Gamma Quadrant, tensions between the Federation and its allies and the New Dominion increase… Cardassia has a lot more troubles as the ramifications of the refusal of Federation admittance continues to be felt. 2421 There is war in the Dyson Sphere as groups that do not like the UFP/Klingon/First Federation/etc presence in the Sphere, attack their presence in the Sphere, and the civilisations that had allied with them. In the midst of this the Borg attempt to assimilate the Sphere, though their attack is driven off with a lot of success. The war comes to an end towards the end of the year. More secrets are discovered about the Sphere, which have mainly to do with how the Dyson Builders sculpted the landscape of the Sphere. Anna enters the Klingon Empire and visits many of their worlds, including Qo’nos. However the Commonwealth agents and the Section 31 agent follow her into Klingon space. A Klingon Imperial Intelligence agent approaches Anna and tells her about her predicament. It also appears that the Klingons know about the Commonwealth as well. Also it seems that the Federation Council wants her for breaking the Prime Directive. “I am not a Starfleet officer, I was never in the Academy” she says. “It seems that they want you anyway, you have disrupted cultures on many planets, your journey seems to have caused a lot of havoc, and the Federation Council wants to talk to you” the agent says. “What about the High Council, what do they say?” she asks. “The Chancellor knows you are in Klingon territory, as for the rest of the Council I don’t know, but he says that you may stay as long as you wish” He says. Anna decides to stay in Klingon space for a while, and she does. She leaves Klingon space in the middle of the year in the opposite direction to the one she entered it, and then planet-hops on warp-capable planets towards the galactic rim. With the Section 31 agent, a Federation starship, the Section 41 agents, a Commonwealth starship (but not the Enterprise), the Klingon I.I. agent and a Klingon Defence Force ship following her. Tensions between the Federation alliance and the New Dominion continue to increase, many of the Federation’s media outlets predict that war would start in the next year. Cardassia stabilises. The planet Ratalita, in the Gamma Quadrant, joins the Federation, at the end of the year. The ancient station orbiting it becomes a Starfleet station. 2422 Anna continues to run along the edge of the Galaxy, in the direction of the Gamma Quadrant, she is still pursued, by all who were pursuing her in the previous year. She visits many warp capable planets, and then pre-warp post-industrial planets when warp capable planets become few and far between. In the middle of the year, she lands on a pre-industrial planet and is resting in a village when Gary Seven meets her. She is surprised that he didn’t appear to her earlier. “You have to stop running Anna! You have left havoc behind you, and you would create more” he says. “It is not just me! It is the agents following me as well” Anna says. “They are causing havoc where they are causing havoc because they are following you” Gary says. “And if I continue what I am doing?” Anna asked. “More havoc would be caused, and more people would be following you, creating havoc themselves and fighting, one thing I am sure that you don’t want, and that is for the Borg to be following you, and that will happen eventually” Gary said. “So you are saying it will end with a lot of chaos in the Galaxy and my being assimilated?” Anna asks. Being assimilated was definitely something she did not want to experience. “That is one way it could end, there are many possibilities, it is your choice, if not for your choice to explore the Galaxy, the Federation and the Commonwealth would have not known of each other for decades, possibly a century, now they know of each other, also the Kalateo Empire on the planet which they call Lateoval, you know whereof I speak, would still be standing, whereas it has now fallen and barbarians are destroying knowledge all over its former lands. Lateoval’s history would have been entirely different. There is practically no telling what effect that would have in the centuries and millennia ahead. The havoc that has been caused has weakened both the Federation and the Commonwealth, and possibly the Klingons also, they might fall sooner than they otherwise would have” Gary said. “It is my choice?” Anna asks. “It is, I, or the organisation whom I represent, will not hinder you, it is up to you” Gary says. Anna stays in that village for a month while thinking. She then leaves the planet and plots a course towards Lateoval, wondering whether Gary Seven had been truthful about the Kalateo Empire falling. She quickly passes through the core-ward edge of the Federation on the way. She arrives at Lateoval 3 months after leaving where she met Gary Seven. She finds that the Kalateo Empire had fallen, and that barbarians had been and still were sacking most of its cities. She finds that its great libraries had been burned. The future for Lateoval had changed. ‘I hope the Preservers had taken heed and saved some of the Kalateo culture’ she thinks shortly before leaving the planet. She then sets course for the Commonwealth Earth. In her wake the Federation starship sends down some crewmembers to investigate the aftermath of the Kalateo’s fall. She arrives at the edge of Commonwealth space at the end of the year, after visiting many uninhabited planets along the way. ‘I can’t cause havoc where there is no one around’ she thinks. The tensions between the Federation alliance and the New Dominion decrease. Cardassia stabilises more… The station orbiting Ratalita is opened as a Federation station. It is Gamma Station Three. It is a base for exploration of nearby sectors of the Gamma Quadrant. Many first contacts are made at the station. 2423 Anna enters the Commonwealth and ship pushes the engines of the ship she is in as fast they can go. That however still draws the attention of Section 41. The recently refitted Enterprise SCC 2701 has to rescue her from them. The captain offers to take her to Earth. She accepts, as the Enterprise can go faster than the ship. It takes a week to get there. The Section 31 agent, the Federation starship, and the Klingons follow the Enterprise. On arrival at CPN Earth, she goes to Starfleet Command, and asks them to call off the Commonwealth pursuit. One of the Admirals takes her aside and says that they have no control over Section 41, and they would pursue her anyway. She realises she would have to lose Section 41 anyhow. She then apologises for the havoc caused in the Commonwealth, and beams back up to the Enterprise with the Enterprise officers. The Commonwealth Starfleet Command and the Commonwealth Council decide that to keep on following Anna, would probably lead to a possible conflict with the Federation. The Enterprise is ordered to contact the Federation starship and to ask them to take Anna back to the Federation. The Enterprise meets with the Starship Alabama and the Alabama takes Anna back to the Federation. The Alabama drops Anna off on a Federation planet, after 3 months of travel time. Anna stays on the planet exploring it for 6 weeks. Then Q appears to her. “Let me guess, the Continuum wants you to follow me. I have made amends to the Commonwealth for causing havoc there!” Anna says. “You may have made amends to the Commonwealth, but what about all those primitive worlds, where the agents following you have messed things up, not to mention Lateoval where you actually did interfere. The Kalateo had potential” Q says. “Fine click your fingers, fix the problems, the Continuum can do it” Anna says. “If the Continuum did do that sort of thing, they would be no better than the Borg, or many other races who set themselves up as false gods, If it was me a century ago, I would have been only too happy to do it, but now, I have an example to keep and the Continuum would probably strip me of my powers again” Q says. “I don’t know what to do about it, you want me to go to Earth and make amends to the Federation too? Or wait for Gary Seven and give him some sort of message from the Continuum?” Anna says. “It is your choice to make amends to the Federation, as for Gary Seven, it is none of your business what the Continuum thinks of him and the organisation he represents” Q says. “I think I will go to Earth, make amends, and maybe then go around and try to fix some of the problems I caused. It is too late for Lateoval maybe, but probably not for most of the planets” Anna says. “That is a good attitude, I can and allowed to provide a transportation service, for a limited amount of time” Q says. “I accept your offer” Anna says. “Where to?” Q asks. “Earth, San Francisco” Anna says, without hesitation as she wants to clear her record with Starfleet Command before approaching the Federation Council. Q clicks his fingers and he and Anna appear in San Francisco. Anna knows where she is when she appears there. “When you are finished with the making of the amends with the Federation I shall be at a famous Creole Restaurant in New Orleans, the food there is worthy of the Continuum” Q says, and he vanishes in the customary flash of light. Anna goes to Starfleet Command and after explaining that Q brought her to Earth apologises for the havoc caused in the Federation. Starfleet Command wants to punish her for breaking the Prime Directive. However the Federation Council, after much deliberation, clears her of all charges and allows her to go on her way. In the meantime, the Section 41 agents and the Klingons are thrown off Anna’s trail by Q’s teleportation of Anna; they go back to the Commonwealth and the Klingon Empire respectively. Anna arrives at the Sisko’s Creole Restaurant in New Orleans a month after arriving on Earth, at the beginning of July. After having a meal there she leaves Earth with Q again. She and Q travel to various planets she had affected, those that Q says can be helped. Also they travel to the planets randomly, so that no one would be able to make sense of Anna’s journeying. This happens for 3 months. Then Q says that he has to leave her. “And now the Continuum says that I must leave you alone, most of the planets that can be helped have been, maybe I will introduce the Commonwealth to the Borg…” Q says. “I will see you again?” Anna asks. “Time will tell” Q says. “I think introducing the Commonwealth to the Borg would produce more havoc that they can I’ll afford at this time” Anna says. “You are right of course, the Commonwealth will probably learn of the Borg from the Federation, and now I must go” Q says, and he waves goodbye, and in a flash, he is gone, and Anna is back where she was 4 months before. She finds that the ship she had come in was as she left it, she sets out to explore again setting a course for the planet where she last met Gary Seven. She planet hops on warp capable and uninhabited planets all the way there, and arrives there at the end of the year. Gary Seven is waiting for her when she lands where they had met before. “So? Have I averted more havoc, as you would have put it?” Anna asks. “You have, making amends with both the Commonwealth and the Federation was good. You should have had taken my word about Lateoval though, you could have saved time, and not had needed help from the Q Continuum” Gary Seven says. “How did you know about me being with Q? And it was just one Q, one who is well known to the Federation at that” Anna asks “You were observed with him” Gary Seven says. “Anyway, without his help the Klingons and Section 41 would still be following me, and I would have been here a year later” Anna says. “True and you have done a good job fixing things at those planets, without Q’s help of course” Gary Seven says. “Good” Anna says. “And now you can continue with your exploration where you left off, you can continue going where you were going before, other than the organisation I work for and the Q Continuum, the area of space ahead is unknown to the Federation, the Klingons, the Commonwealth, the Borg and all other organisations you know about” Gary says. “So I could just keep on going and it is mostly safe?” Anna asks, after she had thought for a minute. “It isn’t that safe, but the Borg are not there – yet, and there is nothing like the Federation or the Commonwealth there either” Gary says. “Ok” Anna says. And so Gary Seven leaves, Anna leaves the planet after staying overnight. Gary Seven didn’t need to tell her not to cause havoc, she had learned her lesson. She leaves the planet and heads off into the unknown, towards the Delta Quadrant… The Federation alliance makes a temporary peace with the New Dominion. At Gamma Station Three, more first contacts are made. 2424 At Gamma Station Three, some of the new species come to trade. The USS Felis NCC 100247 begins its 8 year voyage of exploration in the Gamma Quadrant. The Enterprise (NCC 1701-F) begins exploring to one side of the Alabama’s route from the Commonwealth to the Federation. They become involved in a situation on a planet that had been affected by Anna’s journey. (And that hadn’t been visited by Anna and Q). They also explore a nebula. 2425 More exploration and trade from Gamma Station Three. The Felis discovers Preserver planets, with cultures from Earth, Bajor and Tellar along its exploration path… 2426 More exploration and trade from Gamma Station Three The Felis makes many discoveries. At the Dyson Sphere, one of the civilisations joins the Federation, after being allied with the Federation for the past few years. 2427 Rumour of a threat deadlier than the Dominion reaches Gamma Station Three, and from the descriptions, it isn’t the Borg… More discoveries and first contacts are made. The Felis hears of a separate threat. 2428 Gamma Station Three is attacked by an anti-Federation alliance of worlds, beginning the 2nd Gamma War. This war doesn’t escalate beyond the Ratalita system though. The Felis doesn’t hear about the 2nd Gamma War at this time. It makes some first contacts. And finds a pre-industrial Preserver world where there are many cultures from different Federation worlds on it, including Bajorans, Tellarites and Nasats. Anna Jones, after going across space where there are no interstellar nations, runs into a nation which seems to be under attack by an alliance of Species 8472 and Hirogen hunters. She finds that Species 8472 and the hunters were acting independently. She realises that she can do nothing to help them. She continues on her way. 2429 Gamma Station Three prevails in the 2nd Gamma War which ends towards the end of the year. The Felis makes more discoveries. 2430 The Felis runs into trouble often, but still makes friendly first contacts. Conditions on Cardassia have improved enough for another application to be made for Federation membership. 2432 The Felis completes its mission and returns to Federation space. 3433 Tom Paris retires from his personal exploration of the Alpha Quadrant, and settles down on Earth. He gives the Alpha Flyer to Miral’s son, who starts exploring himself. 2434 The Enterprise, during exploration of a star system, makes first contact with a very unusual species, which have a ritual for everything. The amount of ritual makes for a very tedious first contact. 2436 At the Dyson Sphere more discoveries are made about the Sphere’s origins. 2437 Anna, after over a decade of exploration, decides to head back to the Federation to see how it has changed in her absence. 2438 The Enterprise explores a distant region of space, making first contact with at least 2 warp capable civilisations. 2439 The Cardassians join the Federation. 2442 At Gamma Station Three, a hidden data module is recovered that gives the Federation more information about the station’s early history. Anna accidentally interferes on a pre-industrial society, giving advice to the inhabitants of an island under threat by a colonial empire. 2443 The Felis returns to Federation space after its second long range exploratory mission 2445 The Federation gains its 225th member. The Voyager-A is decommissioned, with the Voyager-B being commissioned. 2446 At Deep Space Nine trade is opened with the Tzenkethi. 2448 The Commonwealth and the Federation enter into an alliance, after the Federation gives the Commonwealth information about the Borg. If one nation is attacked, the other will also attack the aggressor. The Enterprise whilst exploring near the galactic rim, makes first contact with an extra-galactic explorer, who says that she has found the Milky Way to be very like her home galaxy. The explorer soon leaves, leaving the Enterprise crew and the Federation with a mystery. 2450 The Felis begins its 4th long range exploration mission… By this time the Federation has perfected Quantum Slipstream Drive and most Starfleet ships have it. 2451 The Felis enters unexplored space for the 4th time, discovers some unique civilisations. 2452 The Felis continues its mission. The Enterprise F is almost destroyed protecting a Federation colony from an unknown aggressor. It requires a refit before the ship is space worthy again. At the Dyson Sphere another civilisation (a small one) joins the Federation. 2453 The Felis discovers yet another duplicate Earth; this one is 2500 years behind the Federation Earth, with a Rome under Julius Caesar that has 19th Century technology. Other civilisations on this Earth include a China under the Han Dynasty, a Carthage in Exile and Parthia. The Enterprise F re-enters service towards the end of the year, after 18 months of refit. Anna Jones returns to the Federation. She then begins to write an integrated account of her journeys. 2454 The Felis enters an area where there are only pre-warp planets. 2455 The Enterprise has a joint mission with a Commonwealth ship, investigating a possible threat to both nations… Some Cardassian colonies leave the Federation. The Felis encounters many Preserver planets. 2456 The Felis has an uneventful year in its journey. A duplicate of the USS Voyager NCC 74656 arrives at the Federation. What is strange is that the ship appears to be the Voyager, it is definitely not from a parallel universe, and the surviving crew and their descendents are definitely who they say they are… The 2nd Voyager crew is shocked to discover that the original (?) Voyager had made it home 68 years earlier. 2457 The Felis encounters more rumours of the threat it had heard of in its previous voyages…. 2458 The Felis has many minor battles, when it encounters a syndicate of trading worlds that also engages in piracy. The Enterprise begins a 2 year voyage of exploration. A major diplomatic function is held at Gamma Station Three. 2459 The Felis returns to Federation space. 2460 The Federation gains its 240th member, a Klingon colony that had left the Empire. At this time the Federation and the Empire are still allies. The Enterprise explores a nebula near Commonwealth space. 2461 The Enterprise F crew prevents a conspiracy from taking over the Federation, with the help of Section 31. 2463 Miral’s son barely escapes from the destruction of the Alpha Flyer, and hitchhikes back to the Federation. It is later revealed that Section 41 was responsible for the destruction as he had been getting too close to a secret Commonwealth facility… 2464 In the Dyson Sphere, a cavern is found beneath its largest mountain. It contains a record of the Sphere’s history. 2466 Anna’s account of her journeys is published. It doesn’t mention the Commonwealth, Gary Seven or what happened to the Kalateo Empire. 2469 At Deep Space Nine, an event predicted by a Bajoran Prophesy occurs. 2470 At Gamma Station Three, an exploratory ship drops out of transwarp, making first contact with the Federation… 2472 In the middle of its 7th exploratory mission the Felis makes contact with a race that fits the description of the threat they had been hearing rumours about. The ship then heads directly back towards the Gamma part of the Federation, to warn them. 2473 At Gamma Station Three, a new program of exploration starts. 2474 There are more first contacts at GS3, and some mysterious attacks start against Federation colonies in the near vicinity. 2475 The mysterious attacks continue against Federation colonies near GS3. The Federation gains its 240th Member. The Enterprise F is decommissioned in January. The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 G is launched in November. 2476 The attacks continue against colonies near to GS3, a taskforce arrives for further investigation of those attacks. 2477 The taskforce finds that the New Dominion has nothing to do with the attacks. The attacks continue 2478 A Klingon colony is destroyed by the perpetrators of the mysterious attacks near GS3, the Klingons use this as an excuse to re-start conquest, they start invading independent worlds near to GS3. They hope to conquer the world the attacks are coming from and bring them to an end. Meanwhile the attacks continue in intensity. 2479 The Klingon conquest near GS3 continues. A member of Section 31 arrives on GS3 to help the station crew investigate the source of the mysterious attacks, which continue. The Federation and the Commonwealth stop an attempted Borg invasion of Lateoval, a portion of which is still reeling from the fall of the Kalateo Empire. Only 1 city of one of the other civilisations one the planet is scooped up by the Cube. The 2 nations set up a base in the Lateoval system in case the Borg come back. (Unbeknownst to either of them the Borg had assimilated information that Anna had left on another pre-industrial planet a few years after she had been with Q.) Anthony Paris (Tom and B’Elanna’s great grandson), begins exploring in the Alpha Flyer 2. 2480 The Klingon conquest slows down. The mysterious attacks continue near GS3. Gamma Base 26 is commissioned and begins operations. The Federation and the Dominion sign an alliance against the perpetrators of the mysterious attacks at GS3. The Commonwealth sets up a secret base in the Dyson Sphere. Anthony discovers a Preserver world where there are Australian Aborigines, they are still living traditionally. The Enterprise is involved in the investigation of the mysterious attacks at GS3. 2481 The Klingon conquest force and the Starfleet forces based at GS3 uncover the perpetrators of the attacks. A civilisation previously thought to be reclusive. Backed into a corner they declare war on the Federation and the Klingons. The Dominion and the Commonwealth also join this war, though their presence much less than the Federation and the Klingons. Exploration is carried out from Gamma Base 26 2482 The civilisation that caused the mysterious attacks is defeated. The Klingons then withdraw from the planets that they had conquered. Many first contacts are made at Gamma Base 26. Starfleet Command forms a covert exploration arm to specifically explore ahead of ‘official’ explorers. Anna’s granddaughter Belle decides to follow in her grandmother’s footsteps, she spends the year exploring various Federation worlds. 2483 A Ferengi expedition arrives at Gamma Base 26 with rumours of a civilisation that is more capitalist than Ferenginar. 2484 A ship is sent from GB 26 to investigate the hyper-capitalist rumour. The Federation gains its 270th member, Capella IV. At Deep Space Nine, and on Bajor, there is a crisis when logs are recovered from the Terok Nor/Old DS9 Museum that implicate the Emissary in a conspiracy that resulted in the Romulans joining in the Dominion War in the previous century. There is some religious violence on Bajor. 2485 It is peaceful at GB26 The Felis is decommissioned after its 8th long range mission in the Gamma Quadrant. The Mus is commissioned and begins its 1st long range mission. 2486 The Tetari Consortium (The hyper-capitalist civilisation) makes first contact with the Federation at Gamma Base 26 The Mus leaves known space. 2487 A representative of a Tetari Uber-Corporation comes to GB 26. Section 31 sends some agents to GB 26 to determine whether any of The Tetari Uber-Corps would pose a threat to the Federation. The Mus is bogged down at an apparently pre-industrial planet when some natives take their warp core… The USS New Horizons carries out 3 short-range exploration missions in the Gamma Quadrant, close to GB 26. 2488 At GB 26, there is another first contact. The Mus regains their warp core and they get on their way again. The New Horizons carries out 4 more short-range exploration missions in the GQ. The Federation gains its 275th member. 2493 The Klingon Empire withdraws from some of the former Romulan systems that they had conquered a century before. 2494 Belle returns to the Federation after her exploratory journey. 2496 The Commonwealth establishes a base in the Dyson Sphere. 2497 At the Dyson Sphere, there is a minor crisis when a Starfleet officer breaks the Prime Directive and an industrial age civilisation begins to conquer the surrounding (pre-industrial, but still post-Iron Age) civilisations. 2498 The previous years’ crisis grows when another civilisation threatens to use nuclear weapons against the expanding civilisation if the Federation and its allies don’t stop the expansion by the end of the year. The Federation attempts diplomatic mediation but to no avail. 2499 The civilisation that threatened use of nuclear weapons uses them. As a result about 0.001% of the sphere’s surface begins to experience nuclear winter, after there is a MAD scenario with another nuclear power civilisation nearby. The climatic conditions of an additional 0.1% of the sphere is affected in some way by the nuclear winter. The Federation tries to bring relief to that area of the Sphere, but they have to evacuate a large amount of people to other areas of the Sphere… 2500 The situation in the Sphere continues to deteriorate, with some groups attacking the Federation/Klingon/Commonwealth etc presence in the Sphere, climatic conditions near the nuked zone continue to get worse, as the nuclear winter zone continues to expand. The 26th Century 2501 Many civilisations begin to battle against each other in the Sphere as paranoia runs rife with accusations by some civs against other civs continue to increase, the Starfleet Corps of Engineers in called in to find a way to stop the climatic conditions in the area of the Sphere near the MAD’ed areas getting any worse, and maybe improve the area’s. 2502 The SCE is stumped as to whether there is a way to influence the Sphere’s climate, there is still a lot that is mysterious about the Sphere. The wars continue, some civilisations continue to ally themselves with the Federation. The climatic conditions in the nuke war affected area continue to worsen. 2503 For some reason the climatic conditions begin to be repaired. The SCE surmise that the built-in climate control system of the Sphere took some time to begin to repair the climatic problems caused by the MAD scenario due to the age of the Sphere. The area affected by the nuclear winter and the surrounding climatic problems begins to shrink. The wars in the Sphere continue through the year. 2504 The SCE teams locate a localised climate control system near to the MAD affected area. They try to figure out a solution to the problem as the Sphere continues to fix the problems by themselves. The wars reduce, due to diplomacy succeeding. The Enterprise investigates rumours of Preserver activity in a region distant from the Federation. 2505 The climatic conditions in that area of the Sphere continue to improve. The area directly affected by the nuclear winter has decreased by 5%. The wars caused by the situation have stopped by the end of the year.
Part 2 (With some additions and fleshing out) 2506 The Enterprise G crashes into an ocean of a pre-industrial planet after defending it against invasion by an unknown ship. The entire crew survives, though the ship is not recoverable. 2507 There is a crisis in the Klingon Empire, a mass rebellion. The High Council tries to control the situation without success. There is civil war. Many Klingon colonies declare independence…. At the Dyson Sphere 10% of the areas affected by nuclear winter have recovered. 2508 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 H is commissioned, most of the crew of the previous Enterprise serve on this one at one point or another. The Enterprise explores near the edge of the galaxy. The situation in the Klingon Empire continues. The Federation attempts to send in peace keeping forces without success. 2509 The New Horizons makes first contact with a stone age civilisation that had attained warp speed. 2511 50% of the adversely affected areas of the Dyson Sphere have recovered from nuclear winter. 2515 The Enterprise H crew prevents a conspiracy taking over a Federation planet. A democratic government arises on Qo’nos. The Qo’nos Democracy is declared by the Federation Council to be the true successor to the Klingon Empire. 2516 Some former Klingon subject worlds apply for Federation membership. 2518 The Enterprise is sent in as part of a peacekeeping force in an area of former Klingon space. 2520 The Federation gains its 300th member, it is the Qo’nos Democracy. 2526 The 6th duplicate Voyager arrives at the Federation. This one is obviously a fake, however the crew think that their ancestors were the genuine articles. (Even though it is found that they are of previously unknown species) The Enterprise investigates some strange activity which may be linked to the events the NX-01 was involved in, in 2153. 2527 The Dyson Sphere region affected by the nuclear exchange has improved up to 50% of what they were before the war. 2528 The New Horizons is almost waylaid by Ferengi pirates as they approach the Federation. 2529 The New Horizons returns to the Federation for a refit. 2533 The beginnings of Sphere Builder activities in the Alpha Quadrant. 2541 The Sphere-Builder War breaks out, with the Alpha Quadrant and Gamma Quadrant Powers united against the Sphere Builders. (With the United Federation of Planets leading, as it is the largest power) Before 2553 The Enterprise H is lost in the Sphere-Builder War, the USS Enterprise NCC 1701 I is commissioned and then is soon also lost in the Sphere-Builder War , and the USS Enterprise NCC 1701 J is commissioned. 2553 The Battle of Procyon V. The Enterprise-J plays an important role in this battle, which turns the tide against the Sphere Builders. Unbeknownst to the crew of the Enterprise, two time travellers, one from the 31st Century and the other from the 22nd briefly appear (Daniels and Archer obviously). 2562 The Sphere-Builder War comes to an end, although there is plenty of repair work to be done in the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. The Prophets had somehow protected the Bajoran System (and apparently the Gamma Quadrant as well) from the effects of the Sphere-Builders’ Expanse. The interior of the Dyson Sphere is also similarly insulated. 2572 The Federation Council, and the Commonwealth Council declare that the Alpha/Beta Quadrants have mostly recovered from the effects of the Sphere-Builder War. 2583 The existence of the Commonwealth becomes widely known in the Federation, and also the existence of the Federation becomes widely known in the Commonwealth. Both political entities face problems due to the similarities of their Earths, particularly in their Human populations. The implications the existence of each other to the other entity, will continue to reverberate for hundreds of years. The Enterprise explores a region in the Gamma Quadrant. 2584 The 14th Voyager duplicate arrives at the Federation. This one turns out to be a holographic duplicate, sustained by an upscaled mobile emitter (which has its own warp engines). 2586 At the Dyson Sphere the environment in the nuked area has improved by 70%. 2589 At Gamma Station Three, an ancient mystery is unveiled. 2593 The subspace communication systems of the Federation and the Commonwealth are connected, allowing real time communication between the two Astro-political entites. (As well as allowing role players from both nations to interact in the same simulated worlds.) 2595 By this time the citizens of the Federation and the Commonwealth regularly visit the other nation, as the routes between them which were travelled by Anna almost 2 centuries before become widely travelled. The Enterprise J is decommissioned. The 27th Century 2608 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 K is commissioned. At the time it is the largest Federation starship ever constructed (which is why it took so long to long to commission) 2622 The Federation admits its 450th member, the Commonwealth its 225th member. 2637 A planet close to the Galactic edge joins the Federation. The last planetary visit by the Federation or the Commonwealth before 2666 occurs at Lateoval. 2653 The Enterprise-K mysteriously disappears. This disappearance will remain unsolved for millennia. Late 2656 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701-L is commissioned. The Federation admits its 455th member. 2663 The Enterprise explores to the Core-ward of the Federation, as part of a Starfleet program to explore along the paths of Voyager and its duplicates. 2664 The Enterprise returns to the Federation and is patrols its border with the Tzenkethi. 2665 The Enterprise explores near the Galactic rim. It is also involved in an incident with a Federation scientist. The scientist had invented a nuclear inhibitor, which he calls the Tox Utaht. The Enterprise finds itself chased by Vogon criminals when Kal Dano (the scientist) comes on board with the inhibitor. The Vogons chase the Enterprise into the heart of the Federation. When the Vogons threaten to destroy the Enterprise, Dano hacks into the Enterprise computer and the Enterprise travels through time to the 22nd Century. Upon their return the Enterprise crew reflect that legends dating back to the 24th Century had been verified. As a result of this Starfleet investigates the possibility that other time travel legends may also be true. 2666 The Enterprise visits many pre-industrial worlds. One of these is Lateoval, where they find that the area formerly occupied by the Kalateo Empire has begun to recover from the centuries of barbarism. 2667 The Enterprise explores along the Galactic rim, close to where Anna had explored 2 centuries earlier, (The Federation has explored a 20 light year radius around her route from where had met Gary Seven, until she had returned to the Federation, by this time, with the exception of some areas of the route that have been conquered by the Borg.) 2668 The Enterprise does some more exploration, and stops a conspiracy from taking over a Federation colony. 2669 The Enterprise makes contact with a Voth City Ship which was exploring distant regions of the galaxy. The Voth had hardly changed from when Voyager had contact with them 3 centuries before. The contact doesn’t go well, and the City Ship returns to the Delta Quadrant. The City Ship reports to the Elders about the Federation and the Commonwealth. 2670 The Enterprise explores, they stop another conspiracy taking over another Federation colony. This conspiracy seems to be connected to the earlier one. The Voth Elders decide that the existence of both the Federation and the Commonwealth presents a threat to Voth Doctrine. They then declare a Crusade against the 2 Astro-political entities. 2671 A remote Commonwealth outpost falls to the Voth, in the first attack of the Crusade, the war will become known as the Voth War to the citizens of the Federation and the Commonwealth. The Enterprise is part of a task force sent to investigate the loss of communication with the outpost. A Voth fleet is present. About 10 sectors (out of thousands) fall to the Voth before the end of the year. 2672 The Voth War continues. 20 more sectors fall to the Voth. The Commonwealth and the Dominion join in on the Federation’s side. The Tholians declare neutrality. Many people flee the Federation and the Commonwealth towards the outer rim of the galaxy… 2673 The Voth make more inroads in Federation, and now Commonwealth territory. The Tzenkethi join the Federation/Commonwealth Alliance. It is found that the Voth are massacring any human populations that they encounter, irrespective of whether they originate in the Federation or the Commonwealth. The Enterprise is often on the front lines. The Galaxy’s Edge Station is set up, on the edge of the Galaxy, far away from the Voth war front. 2674 The front lines of the Voth War continue to move back and forth across 1 thousand light years of space, throughout the year, in both Federation and Commonwealth space. Cardassia is briefly occupied, there is a battle at Deep Space Nine, but the Bajorans, a Starfleet fleet led by the Enterprise and the Dominion defeat the Voth attempt to enter the Wormhole, and occupy the station and Bajor. At the end of the year the Voth are in retreat, and the allies have taken the war to Voth Space in the Delta Quadrant. Some extragalactic visitors make first contact with the Federation at the Galaxy’s Edge station. 2675 The Voth War comes to an end by the end of the year. The Alliance had gained help from Species 8472 and various Hirogen hunting groups in the war by March, the Voth had withdrawn from the Alpha/Beta Quadrants by June and by October the Voth elders had decided that to continue would probably risk Voth extinction. The Enterprise re-starts exploring after the war ends. 2676 The USS Yorktown NCC 20070611 runs from the Federation, a fact that only the Captain of the ship knows about. The crew think they are on a long range exploration mission. The Yorktown runs into a region towards the Galactic core that is still unexplored. 2677 More first contacts at the Galaxy’s Edge Station The Yorktown discovers a partial duplicate of Earth, the sentient species is still Human, and the Old World is the same, but the New World is completely different. This Earth is about 1200 years behind, with its Columbus sailing into a completely different area than our Columbus. They investigate this Earth briefly and then continues on its way. 2678 The Yorktown continues to flee from the Federation. Some ships leave the Federation in pursuit of the Yorktown. 2679 At the Galaxy’s Edge Station, more ships leave to explore the Near-Galactic space. The Yorktown defends a pre-industrial planet from a Borg incursion. It appeared that the Borg were intending to assimilate the planet slowly. They also make contact with explorers from a duplicate Vulcan. 2680 The Enterprise makes contact with the Telaxian Homeworld as part of a Federation/Commonwealth program to explore the region that the original Voyager explored in its first 3 years in the Delta Quadrant before they ran into the Borg. The Telaxians decide to start official relations with the Federation. The USS Endeavour NCC 11607002, one of the ships chasing after the Yorktown discovers the partial duplicate of Earth. After investigating it, (in particular the European reactions to Columbus’s descriptions of the New World) they head back towards the Federation. 2681 At Galaxy’s Edge, a Federation ship comes back with news of a second Doomsday Machine similar to that encountered by the Enterprise and the Constellation in 2267. The Federation mobilises a fleet to intercept the supposed machine. The Yorktown runs at high Slipstream into the core, where they discover many wonders including Iconian remnant civilisations, duplicates of Cardassia, Qo’nos, Tellar and Pacifica, and another Dyson Sphere, this one is different in that it has at least 10 M-Class planets and 3 different Ringworlds inside it. This Sphere is even more populated than the one that the Federation/Commonwealth etc is familiar with. The planets and the Ringworlds are also very populated. The Endeavour arrives at the Federation. Starfleet Command sends it out again, and then sends other ship to investigate the Partial Duplicate of Earth further. 2682 The Yorktown leaves the Core into the Gamma Quadrant. The USS Diamond NCC 26821217 arrives at the partial duplicate of Earth. The Enterprise is involved in a skirmish in between a Kazon faction and some Vidiians. 2683 A Federation fleet intercepts the second Doomsday Machine and manages to destroy it. 2684 The Enterprise returns to Federation space. The Diamond finds that the Spanish are exploring the New World less than they did on the Federation and Commonwealth Earths. The existence of the Duplicate of Earth discovered by the original NCC 1701 (The Miri/Prolongation Project Plague Earth), is declassified, towards the end of the year. 2685 At Galaxy’s Edge a Kelvan ambassador arrives. The Yorktown confronts a Section 31 group that had been following them through the years since they left the Federation throughout this year. There is some social turmoil in the Federation as a result of the information being released that Kirk had discovered a duplicate Earth. There is a lot of discussion. Counterfactual historians (both professional and amateur) ponder what would have had happened if the information was released earlier. The effects of the genetic bottleneck caused by there being only 2 Humpback Whales being rescued through time 4 centuries before have become apparent by this time. (with the Whales being extinct on the duplicate Earths discovered so far as well) The Diamond continues to study the partial duplicate of Earth (which doesn’t have Humpbacks) 2686 The Yorktown is thrown through a wormhole into a distant portion of the Delta Quadrant (away from any Federation or Commonwealth presence). This throws off the Section 31 pursuit. (Though the crew doesn’t realise that there are a few agents among them) The Endeavour makes many first contacts with worlds just beginning to use warp drive. The USS Tolkien NCC 19361956 which had been following the Yorktown’s trail, makes contact with explorers from the same duplicate Vulcan that was previously contacted by the Yorktown. The Gamma Quadrant duplicate Earth (discovered by the Felis 2 centuries before) accomplishes warp drive. The Roman Empire ruled by Marcus Aurelius is the nation that launched the warp ship. The Federation and the Dominion make first contact with it. 2687 The Tolkien heads back towards the Federation. 2688 The Yorktown begins to explore the region of the galaxy it is in. Towards the end of the year the first officer finds out the real reason why the ship left the Federation, he confronts the Captain, who says that nothing can be done about it now, as the Yorktown crew are in just as much trouble as he is. The first officer is sworn to secrecy so as to keep crew morale up. 2689 When visiting a preindustrial planet, some of the Enterprise crew become involved in a quest with some of the natives (despite the Prime Directive, it still gets broken sometimes even in the 27th Century). The Tolkien arrives back at the Federation. The Tolkien is soon sent back onto the Yorktown hunt. A small fleet is sent to make official contact with the duplicate Vulcan. At Galaxy’s Edge, there are hints of a cluster of Preserver worlds in a nearby globular cluster. 2690 The Yorktown protects a preindustrial world from a Hirogen hunting group. 2691 The Federation fleet arrives at the duplicate Vulcan towards the end of the year. The Vulcans are logically surprised about the existence of the Federation Vulcan. 2694 The Federation signs the Temporal Accords. 2698 The Commonwealth signs the Temporal Accords. The 28th Century 2703 The Enterprise makes first contact with a Carthaginian Star Empire based on a Preserver world. There is a bungle in the first contact on behalf of the Carthaginians which makes them think that the Federation is hostile. The Endeavour discovers evidence of a duplicate Voyager that didn’t make it back to the Federation. 2704 The Diamond finds that there was once a steampunk civilisation in the New World of the partial duplicate of Earth, however there is no indication as to why that civilisation had fallen. 2706 The Tolkien discovers a world that has physical characteristics that come from Earth, Betazed, Bajor and Vulcan. The Earth characteristics include most of Eurasia, and Northern Africa, with Vulcan characteristics extending from the Sahara. There are Humans and Betazoids on the planet, with the Eurasia in a historical state similar to that of the 5th century AD. 2709 At Galaxy’s Edge, Q arrives and issues the senior staff a challenge… The Enterprise explores a remote region of the Gamma Quadrant through this year. 2710 At Galaxy’s Edge Q continues to taunt the station staff. 2712 The Yorktown has to fight for survival against a mysterious empire through this year. 2715 The Endeavour leaves the Federation in pursuit of the Yorktown, after having returned again to report on another discovery. 2716 More of the Yorktown crew find out the real reason behind the ship’s ‘mission’ throughout the year. Morale drops a little as a result of this. 2724 The Diamond returns to the Federation from its 4th study of the partial duplicate of Earth, early in the year. It is sent out again with another ship towards the end of the year. 2725 The Tolkien discovers the Dyson Sphere that the Yorktown had discovered. It sends a report about it back to the Federation by shuttle. 2727 The Tzenkethi sign the Temporal Accords. 2730 The Federation gains its 675th member. 2733 The Endeavour returns to the Federation after a decade of having no leads as to the location of the Yorktown. 2743 The Tolkien returns to the Federation after having no leads on the Yorktown for 15 years. The Federation declares the Yorktown lost, and officially calls off the search. Section 31 will continue the search for another century. 2744 The Tolkien is sent to a pre-warp world to determine whether the peculiarities noted on that world are the result of Federation involvement sometime in the centuries past. 2746 The Enterprise prevents a conspiracy from taking over a Starbase in a distant region of the Alpha Quadrant. 2749 A secession referendum is defeated in a group of Federation members that would have had broken away and formed their own Federation. 2753 The Enterprise L is decommissioned 2754 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 M is commissioned. 2766 The duplicate Vulcan joins the Federation, it is the 700th Member of the Federation. The Commonwealth has 425 members at this time. 2779 The Federation gains its 705th member, a world that had gained warp flight 50 years before, it is also one of those worlds that had been affected by Anna Jones’s journey about 350 years before. The Federation now shares a common border with the Commonwealth. 2793 At Khitomer, the 500th anniversary of the Khitomer accords is celebrated. Khitomer has been in the Federation for centuries by this point. The 29th Century 2808 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 N is commissioned. (The Enterprise M having been destroyed or decommissioned by this point). By this point Starfleet has taken on a temporal monitoring/policing role, in cooperation with the Federation’s Temporal Integrity Commission. 2824 Braxton joins Starfleet Academy. 2839 The Federation is involved in a minor Time War against the Carthaginian Star Empire through this year. In the final resulting timeline, the war ends after the Commonwealth threatens to join in on the Federation’s side. The Federation and the Commonwealth instigate an amendment to the Temporal Accords so that Time Wars would not be carried out. A conventional cold war ensues. 2855 Starfleet commissions its first exclusive Timeship. The USS Gallifrey NCV 196301119.
Part 3 2863 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 O is commissioned. The Enterprise explores a globular cluster towards the Large Magellanic Cloud. This includes some temporal exploration. 2864 The Enterprise continues to explore the globular cluster. The Timeship USS Wells NCV 196301898 is commissioned. This is the prototype of the Wells Class Timeship. 2865 The Gallifrey is lost in the past after Carthaginian agents sabotage it. This is seen by later historians as the real beginning of the Temporal Cold War. 2866 The Wells investigates a faction which may be influencing the Suliban Cabal in the 22nd Century. The Enterprise returns to Federation space. The Commonwealth Starfleet commissions its first exclusive Timeship, The CSS Verne SCV 18632866. 2867 The Enterprise patrols the Federation’s border with the Carthaginians. The situation there is tense. The Temporal Cold War spreads to the Gamma Quadrant. It is noted by the commander (of the 4th version of) Deep Space Nine that the Prophets seem to be stopping many incursions into Bajor’s past. 2868 The Wells is involved in many temporal incursions relating to various important Federation historical figures. (Including Archer, Kirk, Picard, Sisko, Janeway…) 2869 Time Base Zeta goes online. It monitors temporal activity in various areas of the Federation. 2873 The USS Relativity NCV-474439-G is commissioned. Braxton, who was recovered from the 20th Century following a run in with Voyager, is assigned as Captain. 2874 The Relativity is involved in many temporal incursions that relate to the journeys of the various Voyager’s through the Delta Quadrant. Most often with the original. 2875 The Relativity investigates a series of events in which the Voyager is destroyed by a temporal disruption device. Captain Braxton recruits Seven of Nine a few times to track down who is responsible and return history to normal. It turns out that the person responsible for Voyagers destruction in the alternate timelines is a future version of Braxton. Lt. Ducane relieves Braxton of duty and arrests him for ‘crimes he would commit’. In the aftermath of this Ducane becomes the Captain of the Relativity. 2876 There is a brief respite in the Temporal Cold War, when the Federation and the Commonwealth try to negotiate with the Carthaginians. 2878 The Tzenkethi join the Federation. 2881 The Relativity investigates a temporal incursion relating to a mission in which the Enterprise D was involved in. 2885 Another faction joins in the Temporal Cold War, Opposing both the Federation/Commonwealth Alliance and the Carthaginians. This faction would continue to oppose the Federation through to the 31st Century. Their leader is called Vosk… 2890 Another Interstellar Polity similar to the Federation and the Commonwealth is discovered. This is the Union of Democratic Allied Planets, or the Union. The Union is of a similar technological level to the Federation and the Commonwealth. 2896 The Union signs the Temporal Accords. The 30th Century 2903 The Union joins the Federation/Commonwealth alliance in the Temporal Cold War. 2910 The Federation and the Commonwealth link their interstellar communications networks to that of the Union, allowing real time communication, (and gaming, sharing of virtual worlds, etc) between them. 2919 The Federation/Commonwealth/Union alliance has explored 15% of Galaxy, and up to 500 globular clusters in the galactic halo near some of that 15%. (which is rather diffused through the galaxy.) 2929 Though the Temporal Cold War continues, some in the Carthaginian Government try to bring about peace with the Federation led alliance. This is a failure though. 2940 The Federation gains its 1900th member, a former colony of the Krenim imperium. The Commonwealth has 1450 members at this point, and the Union has 530. 2952 A link between the explored areas in the Alpha Quadrant and the explored areas in the Gamma Quadrant (around the wormhole), through normal space, is formed. The ship that performs the exploration is the recently commissioned USS Enterprise NCC 1701 P. 2965 Serious negotiations are begun for the merging of the United Federation of Planets, the Commonwealth of Planetary Nations and the Union of Democratic Allied Planets into one political entity. 2979 The process of the merging of the UFP, CPN and UDAP into one entity is complete. The new entity has aspects of all of them, but it is the Federation that leaves the biggest legacy in the new system. The Federal Council is modelled after the Federation Council and the Exploratory and Defence arm is mostly derived from the Federation Starfleet, with the USS (name) NCC (or NCV for a timeship) number system continuing (The Enterprise NCC 1701 lettering system also continues). The Entity is called the Alliance of Confederated Planetary States (ACPS) or Alliance. At the ceremony of the inauguration of the Alliance, the 4200th member is accepted into the organisation. 2994 A memorial to the Federation is constructed in San Francisco. The 31st Century 3001 An Alliance temporal agent named Daniels is assigned to the Enterprise NX 01 to investigate Temporal Cold War activity in the 22nd Century. 3002 Daniels accidentally creates an alternate timeline where the Federation didn’t come into existence by bringing Captain Archer forwards to this year. He and Archer successfully contacts the past and are able to restore the timeline. 3003 Daniels gives Archer information that the Sphere Builders are interfering with the timeline as a result of their defeat in the 26th Century, thus helping him with the situation with the Xindi that he was in. 3004 Vosk uses a stealth form of time travel to infiltrate Earth in the 20th Century as a result of his faction’s defeat by the Alliance, the Carthaginians, the Krenim and other forces. Daniels sends the NX 01 through time to bring about his defeat. With Vosk’s faction’s defeat in the Temporal Cold War, the ‘conflict’ between the Alliance and the Carthaginians increases in intensity. 3005 Alliance Starfleet long range exploration vessels report that there are rumours of races on the move… 3007 A long range exploration vessel in the Delta Quadrant reports that there is evidence of the Yorktown having been to a planet 2 centuries before (over 1 and half centuries after the trail was previously lost). The vessel (The USS Edmund Hillary NCC 1953052901) is ordered to track the Yorktown’s trail. 3010 Reports of chaotic events in many of the virtu-verses within the Alliance’s cyber systems increase. 3014 The E-H (Edmund Hillary) reports that they are slowly gaining on the Yorktown. (Taking 7 years to do what took the Yorktown 10.) 3019 The Carthaginians gain an ally in the Temporal Cold War, another Preserver derived Earth civilisation, the Sumerians, whom are on the other side of the Carthaginians from the Alliance. 3025 Some exploratory ships deep in the Alpha Quadrant, come upon a mass migration of ships, headed in the apparent direction of the centre of the Alliance. 3032 The Edmund Hillary, discovers a world that has been influenced a lot by the Yorktown’s visit. It is also discovered that this world had been visited by one of the duplicate Voyager’s centuries before the Yorktown arrived there. 3040 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 Q is commissioned. The member of the Q Continuum most familiar with the Alliance frequently appears and gives hints to the Enterprise crew that the Alliance has over-extended itself and will soon fall… 3049 The Sumerians find themselves under increasing attack from the opposite side than the Carthaginians, a mass migration of many nomadic groups start attacking their space. They then extend their portion of the Temporal Cold War against these nomadic groups. 3059 The Edmund Hillary loses contact with the Alliance after troubles arise amongst the Alliance’s allies in the region of the Delta Quadrant close to where the ship is tracking the Yorktown. 3070 The Sumerians are knocked out of the Temporal Cold War as they are ravaged by the ‘barbarians’ 3074 The EMH Backup Module of the original Voyager is recovered by a historian named Quarran, on the Vaskan/Kyrian planet. The Doctor helps to clear the record of Voyager’s doings, as racial tensions on the planet increase. This begins the movement towards equality between the 2 species. 3075 The Sumerian’s civilisation falls due to ‘barbarian’ invasion. There is a diaspora of their people. The Sumerian Homeworld falls back to a pre-warp level. 3077 The Carthaginians begin to experience difficulties due to Sumerian refugees overwhelming their facilities. 3080 The ‘barbarians’ begin to attack outlying Carthaginian colonies. 3084 The Carthaginians extend their part of the Temporal Cold War against the various ‘barbarian’ groups attacking them (and also assisting the Sumerians in the past). 3089 The Alliance Council receives many reports that their cyber-systems are under attack, it appears that the Carthaginians, or another of their antagonists, have successfully launched an attack… 3095 After many years serving as the Surgical Chancellor for the Vaskans and Kyrians the EMH Backup leaves their planet to follow after Voyager, to head towards the Alpha Quadrant. The 32nd Century 3102 The Carthaginian Star Empire falls, due to barbarian activity, rebellions, and due to having overextended itself in the Temporal Cold War. 3110 Q appears to the current crew of the Enterprise, saying that the Alliance will fall within decades, and that there is nothing that they can do about it. 3119 The Alliance begins to be seriously attacked by the barbarians. 3129 This year marks the point where future historians agree that the Alliance had fallen. In this year a majority of the Alliance’s worlds in its main region in the Alpha Quadrant are ravaged by many groups of barbarians, there are multiple secessions in the Gamma and Delta Quadrants, and the cyber networks begin their catastrophic collapse. 3140 The Enterprise is lost defending Vulcan from the barbarians. As the captain orders the crew to evacuate the ship, he is heard as saying, “This is the end of NCC 1701 – something, go, survive and carry on the spirit of the great heroes of the Federation and the Alliance” 3152 The Alliance had fallen, in its place, is many worlds devastated back to the pre-warp age, and many weak recovering successor states, in many cases far apart from one another. The time travel/Temporal Cold War technology is lost. However, in some places, the Sol System in particular, relatively high technology is preserved (just not the time technology). 3165 United Earth leaves the Alliance of Solar Worlds (which future historians will recognise as the successor state to the Alliance) due to unrest. The Alliance of Solar Worlds now consists of the governments of Mars, Venus, Europa and Ceres. 3179 By this time the United Earth state had partly disintegrated, with independent states and anarchy arising in various areas of Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and the Pacific. Earth won’t we reunited again for many decades. 3194 Some of the former States of the USA leave United Earth, in some of them situations similar to the 19th century arise. The 33rd Century 3210 The situation on Earth improves, as the rest of the ASW provides aid, various nations re-join United Earth. 3237 The last nation rejoins United Earth, which then rejoins the Solar Alliance (ASW) 3255 The Solar Alliance merges with the Federation of Alpha Centauri, creating the New United Federation of Planets (NUFP) or New Federation. Also in this year the New Starfleet is founded, from the defence forces of the precursor nations. It is agreed that the Starship numbering system would be restarted from the beginning, the first new starship being commissioned after the founding of the New Federation being the USS Cochrane NNCC 01.

Star Trek from the 24th Century onwards... I am posting this century by century with a century per post, as the parts seem to be exceeding the boards character limits (which wasn't a problem under ubb, by the way...) January 2380 The Enterprise - E continues its mission of Exploration. March 2380 The USS Titan NCC 80201 explores the Gum Nebula, discovering an ecosystem of cosmozoan life, and a society of hunters that is associated with that ecosystem. The Titan crew interfere with what is happening, upsetting the balance, possibly causing a series of disasters October 2380 The Klingons agree with the Federation to stop their expansion, as the Klingon Empire has overextended itself. The Federation gains its 155th member. The Koa’s towards the end of the year. 2381 The Enterprise – E makes many first contacts, as they undergo a great mission of exploration to the coreward of the Federation. 2382 The Titan returns from its voyage of exploration to the Federation. At Deep Space Nine, there is a meeting between the Federation and some of the lesser Gamma Quadrant powers. 2383 The Federation establishes a colony in the Gamma Quadrant, the Enterprise, Titan and Defiant protect it against a combined attack by Rogue Jem'Hadar and the Cheka... The colony survives, but the Cheka inform the Federation that encroachment on their territory will not be tolerated… The Federation also joins the Particle Fountain Consortium. At Deep Space Nine, there are more meeting throughout the year as a result of the events in the Gamma Quadrant. 2384 At Deep Space 9 they fend off an attack from another universe, in a repeat of an incident from 7 years before. It appears that the attack came from a universe where the Federation nor a Terran Empire wasn't founded. The dominant political organisation appears to be an extension of a Terran nation. Later in the year, there is a conference about the spheres of influence in the Gamma Quadrant. There is more threatening from the Cheka, but it is all bluster. The Even Odds visits the Alpha Quadrant for the 2nd time, looking for a treasure stolen by Ferengi pirates the year before. The Titan starts another longer term voyage of exploration, into the Sagitarius Reach. Voyager (under command of Chakotay) also starts a new voyage of exploration, in the direction it would have come if the ship hadn't come home the way it did, though they encounter mostly deserted star systems. Voyager does encounter a mystery towards the end of the year though. The Federation admits its 156th member, a society of Humans who try to follow the ways of Surak... The Enterprise explores near the Galactic edge, discovering sites that would be of future importance... There is a successful rebellion in a distant region of the Klingon Empire. The High Council orders a crackdown on all seperatist organisations. A Vulcan colony is established in the Gamma Quadrant. 2385 Romulan Empire collapses due to internal strife, mainly dating from the struggles caused by the rise of Shinzon 6 years earlier. It would take the Romulans a very long time to recover from this as there as many factions fight against each other for control, including the Senate and the Tal Shiar. The Klingons begin to conquer a portion of the former Empire… The Titan returns to the Federation after its 3rd voyage of exploration. At Deep Space Nine, it is officially declared that the Bajoran sector has fully recovered from the Dominion War. 2386 Laas has a break with Odo about how to run the Dominion, Laas decides to make his own Dominion, with a small amount of Vorta and Jem'Hadar loyal to him. They breakaway from the now Odo controlled Dominion, forming the New Dominion, a 3rd of the Dominion's worlds belong to the New Dominion. However the Borders of the New Dominion are nowhere near the Wormhole, which is just as well. Klingons establish a colony in the Gamma Quadrant. Romulan refugees start arriving on Vulcan... Some of them are reunificationists. (Though Spock remains on Romulus for the time being), this will have effects on Vulcan (and Romulan) society for a long time to come. The events in the Gamma Quadrant with the formation of the New Dominion causes concern in the Federation Council and at Starfleet Command. 2387 The Enterprise explores close to Federation space and patrols the Federation's border with the Tzenkethi and the Breen. 2388 The Titan begins its 4th voyage of exploration. 2389 Geordi La Forge becomes the Captain of the USS Challenger 2390 The Titan and the Enterprise respond to a distress call; during the ensuing battle the Titan is destroyed. Riker takes Command of the Enterprise E after the loss of the Titan and Captain Picard. New Dominion ships encounter a Borg cube, though no one in the Alpha Quadrant is aware of it. The Federation gains a member in the Gamma Quadrant (A Yrithny Wanderer Colony) By this time the Romulan Star Empire has completely collapsed. The USS Voyager begins another voyage of exploration. 2391 The Enterprise explores many distant sectors, in different directions from Federation space. 2392 Doctor Crusher gains command of a medical ship. The Hippocrates. The 5th Gamma Quadrant Bajoran colony is established. 2393 Voyager discovers a large amount of preserver worlds in one area of space. 2394 The Enterprise E sets off on its last voyage of exploration. 2395 Voyager is decommissioned and the Voyager A is commissioned within a month. Dec. the Enterprise E is decommissioned, as it has been incredibly damaged during the last 20 years. 2396 Mar. The Enterprise F is commissioned with Riker in command. The Enterprise’s first mission is to escort some exploration ships back to their nation 2 months travel away from the Federation. The Even Odds enters the Alpha Quadrant for the 4th time, chasing a mystery... 2397 The Enterprise is involved in mysterious happenings in Federation space. The Voyager A begins a scientific cataloging mission. 2399 Christine Vale becomes captain of the USS Charon, a Luna Class explorer ship.
The 25th Century is divided up because the century as a whole exceeded the character limits. The 25th Century 2400 Riker is promoted to Admiral; Tom Paris takes command of the Enterprise F, transferring from the Voyager A, which is then commanded by Icheb. The Voyager A, then goes on a exploration/patrol mission. 2405 The Federation has 5 members in the Gamma Quadrant. 2406 The New Dominion tests Federation Defences around a colony... 2406 Tom Paris resigns command of the Enterprise F, which comes under the command of a new captain. Tom Paris gains a civilian ship and begins explorations on his own, in the direction of the Delta Quadrant. The Enterprise F prevents a conspiracy from taking over the Federation, unknown to them at the time; they receive help from Section 31. 2407 The Enterprise F explores a star cluster to the rim ward of the Federation; they make 2 first contacts with civilisations that had recently gained FTL capability. The Hippocrates responds to a plague that is occuring near the Federation/Tzenkethi border. 2408 The Enterprise patrols the edge of Federation space. At Deep Space Nine more secrets from the Occupation are uncovered. 2409 The Enterprise becomes involved in some Political Intrigue involving the Federation and some of its member worlds. They find that the Intrigue involves some of the members of the Federation Council. The Enterprise also patrols the edge of Federation space. 2410 The Enterprise prevents another conspiracy from taking over the Federation, and explores a star cluster to the core-ward of the Federation…. 2411 The Enterprise does more exploration, discovering more Preserver preserved human colonies. These colonies are between Medieval and 20th century technological levels. 2412 The Enterprise helps toprevent yet another conspiracy from taking over the Federation, and patrols the edge of Federation Space. The USS Europa discovers a Dyson Sphere, teeming with life including a great many civilisations, 300 light years from Earth. 2413 The Enterprise protects a Federation colony world from a renegade Klingon fleet which had rebelled against the High Council. The Enterprise also discovers more Preserver colonies in a star cluster near the Galactic rim. The Preserver colonies mainly contain cultures from Earth’s past. The Federation sets up a base in the Dyson Sphere for coordination of exploration and study of the Sphere. During this year the Base makes contact with some of the Sphere’s more advanced civilisations, which ally with the Federation. Several civilisations are found to be human, Andorian, and Bajoran, which fuel speculation that the Preservers might have something to do with the Sphere… The Charon discovers a preserver planet of Anglo-Saxons. 2414 The Enterprise is involved in many unconnected incidents on the edge of the Federation, performs some first contacts, discovers another duplicate of Earth and explores a star cluster to the anti-spin ward of the Federation. The duplicate of Earth, when the Enterprise discovers it, is in its industrial revolution, and that the leading nation is Sweden, followed closely by Britain. (It is noted that this Earth doesn’t have humpback whales.) In the Dyson Sphere, Preserver, Iconian and D’Arcy artefacts are found amongst artefacts of unknown origin, in a previously unexplored region of the Sphere. The Klingons also set up a base in the Sphere. An investigation finds that one of the human based civilisations found is based on the Romans… A new Deep Space Nine is completed, and the old DS9 having come to the end of its working life is decommissioned. The new station is located near where the old one was, near the opening of the wormhole. The Defiant is decommissioned, and is mothballed in a museum orbiting Bajor. A new ship is assigned to the new station. It is also called Defiant. It is the Defiant B. The Federation at this time has 200 members with 10 in the Gamma Quadrant. Spock briefly returns to Vulcan to investigate how the Romulan refugees that had settled there are doing. He finds that most of them are still emotional. 2415 The Enterprise is sent on a lot of routine missions, including following up on previous missions… In the Dyson Sphere more regions are explored. A civilisation from the opposite direction from the Sphere from the Federation discovers the Sphere, and has first contact with the Federation. This first contact goes well. The First Federation sets up a base in the Sphere, so they can study the Sphere first hand. After her graduation from a university on Earth, Anna Jones decides to explore the Galaxy herself. In her first year of exploration she visits many Federation member worlds, deciding to learn more about the Federation before heading off into the unknown. At Deep Space Nine they have to deal with the instability caused by the Cardassians wanting to join the Federation. Most Bajorans think they are not ready. 2416 Due to an experiment at the site of the Genesis Planet, the Genesis Planet regenerates itself. Also regenerated, are the original Enterprise NCC 1701, the USS Reliant, David Marcus, Khan Noonian Singh, and the Klingons who were aboard the Enterprise when it self destructed. The Enterprise-F is sent in to investigate… The civilisation which discovered the Dyson Sphere the previous year set up a base in the Sphere in this year. The Borg discover the Sphere, though this is not known until later… There are hints of deadly secrets being hidden in the Sphere somewhere… Anna Jones leaves the Federation. She hitches a ride in Tom Paris’s Alpha Flyer personal exploration ship, out to the edge of explored territory, in the opposite direction from both the Dyson Sphere, and a new enemy of the Federation. She then planet hops for a year. She makes discoveries that Starfleet won’t for another decade. The Defiant makes does some exploration close to the wormhole. Anti-Federation Terrorist groups perpetrate attacks against Federation activities in Cardassian space. This makes most Bajorans sure that the Cardassians are definitely not ready to join the Federation. The Bajoran member of the Federation Council puts forward a motion to deny the Cardassians entry into the Federation. 2417 A Borg ship is sighted near the Dyson Sphere by both a Starfleet and a Klingon ship in 2 separate incidents. The Gorn discover the Sphere. Anna Jones runs into trouble on a pre-industrial planet, where she had been exploring for a few months. She is then rescued by a Section 31 agent whom had been following her since she had left the Federation. The agent doesn’t reveal this to her though. She then discovers an interstellar nation a lot like the Federation was in the 23rd Century, based on a duplicate Earth. She is picked up by an Enterprise (SCC 2701) led by a Kirk-like captain. She accompanies them on a few missions before heading onwards around the edge of the space known to this ‘Commonwealth of Planetary Nations’ or ‘Commonwealth’ (or ‘CPN’) (whose maps she had been given by the captain), then planet-hops as before, before coming to an Empire at the end of the year. The Section 31 agent decides to urge her to keep the Commonwealth secret when she gets back to the Federation, as he fears that the knowledge of the existence of the Commonwealth would destablise the Federation. The agent also barely escapes from the Commonwealth’s version of Section 31, when they persue him. The New Dominion stirs up trouble in the Gamma Quadrant. Cardassia continues to be troubled. Geordi La Forge barely escapes the loss of the Challenger. 2418 It is a peaceful year in the Dyson Sphere. Exploration of the Sphere’s surface continues. Some teams do get into trouble from time to time. Anna Jones escapes from the Empire she was trapped in at the end of the previous year, into Commonwealth space. She decides to visit some of the Commonwealth’s worlds. She does so. She rescues the Section 31 agent from the Commonwealth’s ‘Section 41’ (The Commonwealth’s version of Section 31). Then a month later, the Enterprise SCC 2701 has to rescue both of them from Section 41. The captain is convinced that Section 41 sees the Federation as a threat to the Commonwealth, though he doesn’t know why. They soon have to stop a conspiracy from taking over the Commonwealth. After this the Commonwealth Starfleet Command orders the Enterprise to take Anna and the agent back to the Federation, and to make contact with it. On the edge of Federation space they contact the USS Europa. Anna takes off in her ship. And the Section 31 agent has to take one of the Europa’s shuttles to follow her. Unbeknownst to them some of the Section 41 agents who had been shadowing the Enterprise follow them. Anna runs off in the direction of the Galactic rim, away from both the Federation and the Commonwealth, planet hopping as she had been before she ran into the Commonwealth. She mainly visits pre-industrial planets, where some of the agents following her interfere with the local cultures slightly. (Mostly the Section 41 agents as the Commonwealth’s version of the Prime Directive is less strict.) The Enterprise/Europa contact goes well. The Europa sends the information about the Commonwealth to Starfleet Command. They order the Europa to stay where it is, and to stall the Enterprise until they could make a decision… It is mostly peaceful at Deep Space Nine, and on Bajor, though not necessarily so on Cardassia. 2419 The Borg attack some Federation ships near the Dyson Sphere. Gary Seven appears on the Sphere, warning the leader of the Federation expedition there, that a time of trial is approaching. More regions of the Sphere are explored, with more teams running into trouble with various tribal groups, civilisations, etc. As Anna runs from the Federation and the Commonwealth, she runs into some Borg ships fleeing from something. “Not more trouble, maybe I should have run in the opposite direction” she says upon seeing the Borg ships. However whatever is troubling the Borg doesn’t trouble Anna… This is a mostly uneventful year, apart from Gary Seven somehow appearing on her ship, and telling her to prepare for a time of trial. “But he won’t tell me what that trial is” she puts in her log. That doesn’t stop her from speculating on what the trial would be. She stays on a preindustrial planet late in the year, and hangs out with a barbarian tribe who are troubling a Roman-like empire, helping them in raiding it. Unbeknownst to her the Section 41 agents who had been trailing her infiltrate the ranks of that Empire’s military, hoping to capture her. Starfleet Command tells the Europa to keep the existence of the Commonwealth a secret, and to tell the Enterprise that the Federation will make secret contact with the Commonwealth. The captain of the Enterprise doesn’t like this but he agrees and goes back to the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth Council agrees with the Federation stance, and decides to make secret contact with the Federation as well. Knowledge of the other nation is on a need to know basis in both Starfleets. At Deep Space Nine, the Cardassian bid to join the Federation is turned down. The New Dominion raids some Federation and Klingon colonies, but doesn’t declare war. 2420 Some civilisations in the Dyson Sphere attack the Federation and Klingon presence in the Sphere, the reason for this is not known at the end of the year. In the meantime, many discoveries are made about the Sphere, though not before many of the exploration teams get into trouble… Anna accompanies some of the barbarians on a raid on the empire. She is captured by one of the Section 41 agents. He tells her that she shouldn’t have found the Commonwealth, and that general knowledge of the Federation, and its Earth in particular could be very devastating to its society. He wants to take her back to the Commonwealth Earth where she would be held prisoner in a facility in its Aotearoa. (Not New Zealand? She asks herself, wondering what would cause the difference). She is interrogated briefly before the Section 31 agent rescues her with the help of the empire’s version of Section 31. After they had gotten her to safety, the agent reveals to Anna the truth about his/her work and Section 31. Anna doesn’t like this one bit, and runs off, crashing her ship on another continent of the planet, leaving the agent to fight in the empire against the Section 41 agents. Anna realises she has to get back to the empire before she can get off the planet. She then spends half of the year getting back there, encountering many tribes and civilisations along the way. Some of the civilisations greatly remind her of the Federation and its surrounding civilisations, enough for her to wonder how they could remind her so much of those civilisations. When she gets back, she finds that the empire is not as it has been, with the fighting between the agents having devastated it, having exasperated the empire’s troubles. She then steals one of the Section 41 ships and leaves the planet, heading in the direction of the Klingon Empire. She doesn’t get there before December though, running into Gary Seven again. He sends her on a mission on Preserver/Human planet… After this she finds that she was followed by the agents. In the Gamma Quadrant, tensions between the Federation and its allies and the New Dominion increase… Cardassia has a lot more troubles as the ramifications of the refusal of Federation admittance continues to be felt.
2421 There is war in the Dyson Sphere as groups that do not like the UFP/Klingon/First Federation/etc presence in the Sphere, attack their presence in the Sphere, and the civilisations that had allied with them. In the midst of this the Borg attempt to assimilate the Sphere, though their attack is driven off with a lot of success. The war comes to an end towards the end of the year. More secrets are discovered about the Sphere, which have mainly to do with how the Dyson Builders sculpted the landscape of the Sphere. Anna enters the Klingon Empire and visits many of their worlds, including Qo’nos. However the Commonwealth agents and the Section 31 agent follow her into Klingon space. A Klingon Imperial Intelligence agent approaches Anna and tells her about her predicament. It also appears that the Klingons know about the Commonwealth as well. Also it seems that the Federation Council wants her for breaking the Prime Directive. “I am not a Starfleet officer, I was never in the Academy” she says. “It seems that they want you anyway, you have disrupted cultures on many planets, your journey seems to have caused a lot of havoc, and the Federation Council wants to talk to you” the agent says. “What about the High Council, what do they say?” she asks. “The Chancellor knows you are in Klingon territory, as for the rest of the Council I don’t know, but he says that you may stay as long as you wish” He says. Anna decides to stay in Klingon space for a while, and she does. She leaves Klingon space in the middle of the year in the opposite direction to the one she entered it, and then planet-hops on warp-capable planets towards the galactic rim. With the Section 31 agent, a Federation starship, the Section 41 agents, a Commonwealth starship (but not the Enterprise), the Klingon I.I. agent and a Klingon Defence Force ship following her, creating their own havoc... Tensions between the Federation alliance and the New Dominion continue to increase, many of the Federation’s media outlets predict that war would start in the next year. Cardassia stabilises. The planet Ratalita, in the Gamma Quadrant, joins the Federation, at the end of the year. The ancient station orbiting it becomes a Starfleet station. 2422 Anna continues to run along the edge of the Galaxy, in the direction of the Gamma Quadrant, she is still pursued, by all who were pursuing her in the previous year. She visits many warp capable planets, and then pre-warp post-industrial planets when warp capable planets become few and far between. In the middle of the year, she lands on a pre-industrial planet and is resting in a village when Gary Seven meets her. She is surprised that he didn’t appear to her earlier. “You have to stop running Anna! You have left havoc behind you, and you would create more” he says. “It is not just me! It is the agents following me as well” Anna says. “They are causing havoc where they are causing havoc because they are following you” Gary says. “And if I continue what I am doing?” Anna asked. “More havoc would be caused, and more people would be following you, creating havoc themselves and fighting, one thing I am sure that you don’t want, and that is for the Borg to be following you, and that will happen eventually” Gary said. “So you are saying it will end with a lot of chaos in the Galaxy and my being assimilated?” Anna asks. Being assimilated was definitely something she did not want to experience. “That is one way it could end, there are many possibilities, it is your choice, if not for your choice to explore the Galaxy, the Federation and the Commonwealth would have not known of each other for decades, possibly a century, now they know of each other, also the Kalateo Empire on the planet which they call Lateoval, you know whereof I speak, would still be standing, whereas it has now fallen and barbarians are destroying knowledge all over its former lands. Lateoval’s history would have been entirely different. There is practically no telling what effect that would have in the centuries and millennia ahead. The havoc that has been caused has weakened both the Federation and the Commonwealth, and possibly the Klingons also, they might fall sooner than they otherwise would have” Gary said. “It is my choice?” Anna asks. “It is, I, or the organisation whom I represent, will not hinder you, it is up to you” Gary says. Anna stays in that village for a month while thinking. She then leaves the planet and plots a course towards Lateoval, wondering whether Gary Seven had been truthful about the Kalateo Empire falling. She quickly passes through the core-ward edge of the Federation on the way. She arrives at Lateoval 3 months after leaving where she met Gary Seven. She finds that the Kalateo Empire had fallen, and that barbarians had been and still were sacking most of its cities. She finds that its great libraries had been burned. The future for Lateoval had changed. ‘I hope the Preservers had taken heed and saved some of the Kalateo culture’ she thinks shortly before leaving the planet. She then sets course for the Commonwealth Earth. In her wake the Federation starship sends down some crewmembers to investigate the aftermath of the Kalateo’s fall. She arrives at the edge of Commonwealth space at the end of the year, after visiting many uninhabited planets along the way. ‘I can’t cause havoc where there is no one around’ she thinks. The tensions between the Federation alliance and the New Dominion decrease. Cardassia stabilises more… The station orbiting Ratalita is opened as a Federation station. It is Gamma Station Three. It is a base for exploration of nearby sectors of the Gamma Quadrant. Many first contacts are made at the station. 2423 Anna enters the Commonwealth and ship pushes the engines of the ship she is in as fast they can go. That however still draws the attention of Section 41. The recently refitted Enterprise SCC 2701 has to rescue her from them. The captain offers to take her to Earth. She accepts, as the Enterprise can go faster than the ship. It takes a week to get there. The Section 31 agent, the Federation starship, and the Klingons follow the Enterprise. On arrival at CPN Earth, she goes to Starfleet Command, and asks them to call off the Commonwealth pursuit. One of the Admirals takes her aside and says that they have no control over Section 41, and they would pursue her anyway. She realises she would have to lose Section 41 anyhow. She then apologises for the havoc caused in the Commonwealth, and beams back up to the Enterprise with the Enterprise officers. The Commonwealth Starfleet Command and the Commonwealth Council decide that to keep on following Anna, would probably lead to a possible conflict with the Federation. The Enterprise is ordered to contact the Federation starship and to ask them to take Anna back to the Federation. The Enterprise meets with the Starship Alabama and the Alabama takes Anna back to the Federation. The Alabama drops Anna off on a Federation planet, after 3 months of travel time. Anna stays on the planet exploring it for 6 weeks. Then Q appears to her. “Let me guess, the Continuum wants you to follow me. I have made amends to the Commonwealth for causing havoc there!” Anna says. “You may have made amends to the Commonwealth, but what about all those primitive worlds, where the agents following you have messed things up, not to mention Lateoval where you actually did interfere. The Kalateo had potential” Q says. 'That is saying a lot, for a Q' Anna thought. “Fine click your fingers, fix the problems, the Continuum can do it” Anna says, uncertain what Q would say, or do, as a result of her suggestion. “If the Continuum did do that sort of thing, they would be no better than the Borg, or many other races who set themselves up as false gods, If it was me a century ago, I would have been only too happy to do it, but now, I have an example to keep and the Continuum would probably strip me of my powers again” Q says. “I don’t know what to do about it, you want me to go to Earth and make amends to the Federation too? Or wait for Gary Seven and give him some sort of message from the Continuum?” Anna says. “It is your choice to make amends to the Federation, as for Gary Seven, it is none of your business what the Continuum thinks of him and the organisation he represents” Q says. “I think I will go to Earth, make amends, and maybe then go around and try to fix some of the problems I caused. It is too late for Lateoval maybe, but probably not for most of the planets” Anna says. “That is a good attitude, I can and allowed to provide a transportation service, for a limited amount of time” Q says. “I accept your offer” Anna says. “Where to?” Q asks. “Earth, San Francisco” Anna says, without hesitation as she wants to clear her record with Starfleet Command before approaching the Federation Council. Q clicks his fingers and he and Anna appear in San Francisco. Anna knows where she is when she appears there. “When you are finished with the making of the amends with the Federation I shall be at a famous Creole Restaurant in New Orleans, the food there is worthy of the Continuum” Q says, and he vanishes in the customary flash of light. Anna goes to Starfleet Command and after explaining that Q brought her to Earth apologises for the havoc caused in the Federation. Starfleet Command wants to punish her for breaking the Prime Directive. However the Federation Council, after much deliberation, clears her of all charges and allows her to go on her way. In the meantime, the Section 41 agents and the Klingons are thrown off Anna’s trail by Q’s teleportation of Anna; they go back to the Commonwealth and the Klingon Empire respectively. Anna arrives at the Sisko’s Creole Restaurant in New Orleans a month after arriving on Earth, at the beginning of July. After having a meal there she leaves Earth with Q again. She and Q travel to various planets she had affected, those that Q says can be helped. Also they travel to the planets randomly, so that no one would be able to make sense of Anna’s journeying. This happens for 3 months. Then Q says that he has to leave her. “And now the Continuum says that I must leave you alone, most of the planets that can be helped have been, maybe I will introduce the Commonwealth to the Borg…” Q says. “I will see you again?” Anna asks. “Time will tell” Q says. “I think introducing the Commonwealth to the Borg would produce more havoc that they can I’ll afford at this time” Anna says. “You are right of course, the Commonwealth will probably learn of the Borg from the Federation, and now I must go” Q says, and he waves goodbye, and in a flash, he is gone, and Anna is back where she was 4 months before. She finds that the ship she had come in was as she left it, she sets out to explore again setting a course for the planet where she last met Gary Seven. She planet hops on warp capable and uninhabited planets all the way there, and arrives there at the end of the year. Gary Seven is waiting for her when she lands where they had met before. “So? Have I averted more havoc, as you would have put it?” Anna asks, wondering what Gary Seven would say. “You have, making amends with both the Commonwealth and the Federation was good. You should have had taken my word about Lateoval though, you could have saved time, and not had needed help from the Q Continuum” Gary Seven says. “How did you know about me being with Q? And it was just one Q, one who is well known to the Federation at that” Anna asks “You were observed with him” Gary Seven says. “Anyway, without his help the Klingons and Section 41 would still be following me, and I would have been here a year later” Anna says. “True and you have done a good job fixing things at those planets, without Q’s help of course” Gary Seven says. “Good” Anna says. “And now you can continue with your exploration where you left off, you can continue going where you were going before, other than the organisation I work for and the Q Continuum, the area of space ahead is unknown to the Federation, the Klingons, the Commonwealth, the Borg and all other organisations you know about” Gary says. “So I could just keep on going and it is mostly safe?” Anna asks, after she had thought for a minute. “It isn’t that safe, but the Borg are not there – yet, and there is nothing like the Federation or the Commonwealth there either” Gary says. “Ok” Anna says. And so Gary Seven leaves, Anna leaves the planet after staying overnight. Gary Seven didn’t need to tell her not to cause havoc, she had learned her lesson. She leaves the planet and heads off into the unknown, towards the Delta Quadrant… The Federation alliance makes a temporary peace with the New Dominion. At Gamma Station Three, more first contacts are made. 2424 At Gamma Station Three, some of the new species come to trade. The USS Felis NCC 100247 begins its 8 year voyage of exploration in the Gamma Quadrant. The Enterprise (NCC 1701-F) begins exploring to one side of the Alabama’s route from the Commonwealth to the Federation. They become involved in a situation on a planet that had been affected by Anna’s journey. (And that hadn’t been visited by Anna and Q). They also explore a nebula. 2425 More exploration and trade from Gamma Station Three. The Felis discovers Preserver planets, with cultures from Earth, Bajor and Tellar along its exploration path… The Enterprise returns to the Federation after a long exploration mission. 2426 More exploration and trade from Gamma Station Three The Felis makes many discoveries. At the Dyson Sphere, one of the civilisations joins the Federation, after being allied with the Federation for the past few years. 2427 Rumour of a threat deadlier than the Dominion reaches Gamma Station Three, and from the descriptions, it isn’t the Borg… More discoveries and first contacts are made. The Felis hears of a separate threat. 2428 Gamma Station Three is attacked by an anti-Federation alliance of worlds, beginning the 2nd Gamma War. This war doesn’t escalate beyond the Ratalita system though. The Felis doesn’t hear about the 2nd Gamma War at this time. It makes some first contacts. And finds a pre-industrial Preserver world where there are many cultures from different Federation worlds on it, including Bajorans, Tellarites and Nasats. Anna Jones, after going across space where there are no interstellar nations, runs into a nation which seems to be under attack by an alliance of Species 8472 and Hirogen hunters. She finds that Species 8472 and the hunters were acting independently. She realises that she can do nothing to help them. She continues on her way. 2429 Gamma Station Three prevails in the 2nd Gamma War which ends towards the end of the year. The Felis makes more discoveries. The Enterprise patrols an area of space contested by the Federation and the Tzenkethi... 2430 The Felis runs into trouble often, but still makes friendly first contacts. Conditions on Cardassia have improved enough for another application to be made for Federation membership. 2432 The Felis completes its mission and returns to Federation space. 3433 Tom Paris retires from his personal exploration of the Alpha Quadrant, and settles down on Earth. He gives the Alpha Flyer to Miral’s son, who starts exploring himself. 2434 The Enterprise, during exploration of a star system, makes first contact with a very unusual species, which have a ritual for everything. The amount of ritual makes for a very tedious first contact. 2436 At the Dyson Sphere more discoveries are made about the Sphere’s origins. 2437 Anna, after over a decade of exploration, decides to head back to the Federation to see how it has changed in her absence. 2438 The Enterprise explores a distant region of space, making first contact with at least 2 warp capable civilisations. 2439 The Cardassians join the Federation. 2440 The Enterprise returns to the Federation after its long mission of exploration.
2442 At Gamma Station Three, a hidden data module is recovered that gives the Federation more information about the station’s early history. Anna accidentally interferes on a pre-industrial society, giving advice to the inhabitants of an island under threat by a colonial empire. At DS9 there are tensions between Bajoran and Cardassian residents. 2443 The Felis returns to Federation space after its second long range exploratory mission. 2445 The Federation gains its 225th member. The Voyager-A is decommissioned, with the Voyager-B being commissioned. 2446 At Deep Space Nine trade is opened with the Tzenkethi. 2448 The Commonwealth and the Federation enter into an alliance, after the Federation gives the Commonwealth information about the Borg. If one nation is attacked, the other will also attack the aggressor. The Enterprise whilst exploring near the galactic rim, makes first contact with an extra-galactic explorer, who says that she has found the Milky Way to be very like her home galaxy. The explorer soon leaves, leaving the Enterprise crew and the Federation with a mystery. 2450 The Felis begins its 4th long range exploration mission… By this time the Federation has perfected Quantum Slipstream Drive and most Starfleet ships have it. This allows for exploration in regions far distant from the Federation, Starfleet begins to leap-frog in its explorations. 2451 The Felis enters unexplored space for the 4th time, discovers some unique civilisations. The Enterprise explores a sector 10000 light years from the Federation. 2452 The Felis continues its mission. The Enterprise F is almost destroyed protecting a Federation colony from an unknown aggressor. It requires a refit before the ship is space worthy again. At the Dyson Sphere another civilisation (a small one) joins the Federation. 2453 The Felis discovers yet another duplicate Earth; this one is 2500 years behind the Federation Earth, with a Rome under Julius Caesar that has 19th Century technology. Other civilisations on this Earth include a China under the Han Dynasty, a Carthage in Exile and Parthia. The Enterprise F re-enters service towards the end of the year, after 18 months of refit. Anna Jones returns to the Federation. She then begins to write an integrated account of her journeys. 2454 The Felis enters an area where there are only pre-warp planets. 2455 The Enterprise has a joint mission with a Commonwealth ship, investigating a possible threat to both nations… Some Cardassian colonies leave the Federation. The Felis encounters many Preserver planets. At the Dyson Sphere, more civilisation's ally with the Federation. 2456 The Felis has an uneventful year in its journey. A duplicate of the USS Voyager NCC 74656 arrives at the Federation. What is strange is that the ship appears to be the Voyager, it is definitely not from a parallel universe, and the surviving crew and their descendents are definitely who they say they are… The 2nd Voyager crew is shocked to discover that the original (?) Voyager had made it home 68 years earlier. 2457 The Felis encounters more rumours of the threat it had heard of in its previous voyages…. 2458 The Felis has many minor battles, when it encounters a syndicate of trading worlds that also engages in piracy. The Enterprise begins a 2 year voyage of exploration. A major diplomatic function is held at Gamma Station Three. 2459 The Felis returns to Federation space. 2460 The Federation gains its 240th member, a Klingon colony that had left the Empire. At this time the Federation and the Empire are still allies. The Enterprise explores a nebula near Commonwealth space. 2461 The Enterprise F crew prevents a conspiracy from taking over the Federation, with the help of Section 31. 2462 One of the Cardassian colonies that had left the Federation some years earlier rejoins the Federation. 2463 Miral’s son barely escapes from the destruction of the Alpha Flyer, and hitchhikes back to the Federation. It is later revealed that Section 41 was responsible for the destruction as he had been getting too close to a secret Commonwealth facility… Anna decides to publish the account of her journeys 2464 In the Dyson Sphere, a cavern is found beneath its largest mountain. It contains a record of the Sphere’s history. 2466 Anna’s account of her journeys is published. It doesn’t mention the Commonwealth, Gary Seven or what happened to the Kalateo Empire. 2469 At Deep Space Nine, an event predicted by a Bajoran Prophesy occurs. 2470 At Gamma Station Three, an exploratory ship drops out of transwarp, making first contact with the Federation…
2472 In the middle of its 7th exploratory mission the Felis makes contact with a race that fits the description of the threat they had been hearing rumours about. The ship then heads directly back towards the Gamma part of the Federation, to warn them. 2473 At Gamma Station Three, a new program of exploration starts. 2474 There are more first contacts at GS3, and some mysterious attacks start against Federation colonies in the near vicinity. 2475 The mysterious attacks continue against Federation colonies near GS3. The Federation gains its 240th Member. The Enterprise F is decommissioned in January. The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 G is launched in November. 2476 The attacks continue against colonies near to GS3, a taskforce arrives for further investigation of those attacks. 2477 The taskforce finds that the New Dominion has nothing to do with the attacks. The attacks continue 2478 A Klingon colony is destroyed by the perpetrators of the mysterious attacks near GS3, the Klingons use this as an excuse to re-start conquest, they start invading independent worlds near to GS3. They hope to conquer the world the attacks are coming from and bring them to an end. Meanwhile the attacks continue in intensity. 2479 The Klingon conquest near GS3 continues. A member of Section 31 arrives on GS3 to help the station crew investigate the source of the mysterious attacks, which continue. The Federation and the Commonwealth stop an attempted Borg invasion of Lateoval, a portion of which is still reeling from the fall of the Kalateo Empire. Only 1 city of one of the other civilisations one the planet is scooped up by the Cube. The 2 nations set up a base in the Lateoval system in case the Borg come back. (Unbeknownst to either of them the Borg had assimilated information that Anna had left on another pre-industrial planet a few years after she had been with Q.) Anthony Paris (Tom and B’Elanna’s great grandson), begins exploring in the Alpha Flyer 2. 2480 The Klingon conquest slows down. The mysterious attacks continue near GS3. Gamma Base 26 is commissioned and begins operations. The Federation and the Dominion sign an alliance against the perpetrators of the mysterious attacks at GS3. The Commonwealth sets up a secret base in the Dyson Sphere. Anthony discovers a Preserver world where there are Australian Aborigines, they are still living traditionally. The Enterprise is involved in the investigation of the mysterious attacks at GS3. 2481 The Klingon conquest force and the Starfleet forces based at GS3 uncover the perpetrators of the attacks. A civilisation previously thought to be reclusive. Backed into a corner they declare war on the Federation and the Klingons. The Dominion and the Commonwealth also join this war, though their presence much less than the Federation and the Klingons. Exploration is carried out from Gamma Base 26 2482 The civilisation that caused the mysterious attacks is defeated. The Klingons then withdraw from the planets that they had conquered. Many first contacts are made at Gamma Base 26. Starfleet Command forms a covert exploration arm to specifically explore ahead of ‘official’ explorers. Anna’s granddaughter Belle decides to follow in her grandmother’s footsteps, she spends the year exploring various Federation worlds. 2483 A Ferengi expedition arrives at Gamma Base 26 with rumours of a civilisation that is more capitalist than Ferenginar. 2484 A ship is sent from GB 26 to investigate the hyper-capitalist rumour. The Federation gains its 270th member, Capella IV. At Deep Space Nine, and on Bajor, there is a crisis when logs are recovered from the Terok Nor/Old DS9 Museum that implicate the Emissary in a conspiracy that resulted in the Romulans joining in the Dominion War in the previous century. There is some religious violence on Bajor. 2485 It is peaceful at GB26 The Felis is decommissioned after its 8th long range mission in the Gamma Quadrant. The Mus is commissioned and begins its 1st long range mission. 2486 The Tetari Consortium (The hyper-capitalist civilisation) makes first contact with the Federation at Gamma Base 26 The Mus leaves known space. 2487 A representative of a Tetari Uber-Corporation comes to GB 26. Section 31 sends some agents to GB 26 to determine whether any of The Tetari Uber-Corps would pose a threat to the Federation. The Mus is bogged down at an apparently pre-industrial planet when some natives take their warp core… The USS New Horizons carries out 3 short-range exploration missions in the Gamma Quadrant, close to GB 26. 2488 At GB 26, there is another first contact. The Mus regains their warp core and they get on their way again. The New Horizons carries out 4 more short-range exploration missions in the GQ. The Federation gains its 275th member. 2493 The Klingon Empire withdraws from some of the former Romulan systems that they had conquered a century before. 2494 Belle returns to the Federation after her exploratory journey. 2496 The Commonwealth establishes a base in the Dyson Sphere. 2497 At the Dyson Sphere, there is a minor crisis when a Starfleet officer breaks the Prime Directive and an industrial age civilisation begins to conquer the surrounding (pre-industrial, but still post-Iron Age) civilisations. 2498 The previous years’ crisis grows when another civilisation threatens to use nuclear weapons against the expanding civilisation if the Federation and its allies don’t stop the expansion by the end of the year. The Federation attempts diplomatic mediation but to no avail. 2499 The civilisation that threatened use of nuclear weapons uses them. As a result about 0.001% of the sphere’s surface begins to experience nuclear winter, after there is a MAD scenario with another nuclear power civilisation nearby. The climatic condition of an additional 0.1% of the sphere is affected in some way by the nuclear winter. The Federation tries to bring relief to that area of the Sphere, but they have to evacuate a large amount of people to other areas of the Sphere… 2500 The situation in the Sphere continues to deteriorate, with some groups attacking the Federation/Klingon/Commonwealth etc presence in the Sphere, climatic conditions near the nuked zone continue to get worse, as the nuclear winter zone continues to expand.
The 26th Century 2501 Many civilisations begin to battle against each other in the Sphere as paranoia runs rife with accusations by some civs against other civs continue to increase, the Starfleet Corps of Engineers in called in to find a way to stop the climatic conditions in the area of the Sphere near the MAD’ed areas getting any worse, and maybe improve the area’s. 2502 The SCE is stumped as to whether there is a way to influence the Sphere’s climate; there is still a lot that is mysterious about the Sphere. The wars continue, some civilisations continue to ally themselves with the Federation. The climatic conditions in the nuke war affected area continue to worsen. 2503 For some reason the climatic conditions begin to be repaired. The SCE surmise that the built-in climate control system of the Sphere took some time to begin to repair the climatic problems caused by the MAD scenario due to the age of the Sphere. The area affected by the nuclear winter and the surrounding climatic problems begins to shrink. The wars in the Sphere continue through the year. 2504 The SCE teams locate a localised climate control system near to the MAD affected area. They try to figure out a solution to the problem as the Sphere continues to fix the problems by themselves. The wars reduce, due to diplomacy succeeding. The Enterprise investigates rumours of Preserver activity in a region distant from the Federation. 2505 The climatic conditions in that area of the Sphere continue to improve. The area directly affected by the nuclear winter has decreased by 5%. The wars caused by the situation have stopped by the end of the year. 2506 The Enterprise G crashes into an ocean of a pre-industrial planet after defending it against invasion by an unknown ship. The entire crew survives, though the ship is not recoverable. 2507 There is a crisis in the Klingon Empire, a mass rebellion. The High Council tries to control the situation without success. There is civil war. Many Klingon colonies declare independence…. At the Dyson Sphere 10% of the areas affected by nuclear winter have recovered. 2508 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 H is commissioned, most of the crew of the previous Enterprise serve on this one at one point or another. The Enterprise explores near the edge of the galaxy. The situation in the Klingon Empire continues. The Federation attempts to send in peace keeping forces without success. 2509 The New Horizons makes first contact with a Stone Age civilisation that had attained warp speed. 2511 50% of the adversely affected areas of the Dyson Sphere have recovered from nuclear winter. 2515 The Enterprise H crew prevents a conspiracy taking over a Federation planet. A democratic government arises on Qo’nos. The Qo’nos Democracy is declared by the Federation Council to be the true successor to the Klingon Empire. 2516 Some former Klingon subject worlds apply for Federation membership. 2518 The Enterprise is sent in as part of a peacekeeping force in an area of former Klingon space. 2520 The Federation gains its 300th member, it is the Qo’nos Democracy. 2526 The 6th duplicate Voyager arrives at the Federation. This one is obviously a fake; however the crew think that their ancestors were the genuine articles. (Even though it is found that they are of previously unknown species) The Enterprise investigates some strange activity which may be linked to the events the NX-01 was involved in, in 2153. 2527 The Dyson Sphere region affected by the nuclear exchange has improved up to 50% of what they were before the war. 2528 The New Horizons is almost waylaid by Ferengi pirates as they approach the Federation. 2529 The New Horizons returns to the Federation for a refit. 2533 The beginnings of Sphere Builder activities in the Alpha Quadrant. 2541 The Sphere-Builder War breaks out, with the Alpha Quadrant and Gamma Quadrant Powers united against the Sphere Builders. (With the United Federation of Planets leading, as it is the largest power) 2542 The Enterprise H is lost in the Sphere-Builder War. 2543 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 I is commissioned. 2551 The Enterprise I is lost in the Sphere-Builder War. 2552 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 J is commissioned 2553 The Battle of Procyon V. The Enterprise-J plays an important role in this battle, which turns the tide against the Sphere Builders. Unbeknownst to the crew of the Enterprise, two time travellers, one from the 31st Century and the other from the 22nd briefly appear (Daniels and Archer obviously). 2562 The Sphere-Builder War comes to an end, although there is plenty of repair work to be done in the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. The Prophets had somehow protected the Bajoran System (and apparently the Gamma Quadrant as well) from the effects of the Sphere-Builders’ Expanse. The interior of the Dyson Sphere is also similarly insulated. 2563 The last of the Spheres left over from the Sphere-Builder War is destroyed. 2572 The Federation Council and the Commonwealth Council declare that the Alpha/Beta Quadrants have mostly recovered from the effects of the Sphere-Builder War. 2583 The existence of the Commonwealth becomes widely known in the Federation, and also the existence of the Federation becomes widely known in the Commonwealth. Both political entities face problems due to the similarities of their Earths, particularly in their Human populations. The implications the existence of each other to the other entity, will continue to reverberate for hundreds of years. The Enterprise explores a region in the Gamma Quadrant. 2584 The 14th Voyager duplicate arrives at the Federation. This one turns out to be a holographic duplicate, sustained by an upscaled mobile emitter (which has its own warp engines). 2586 At the Dyson Sphere the environment in the nuked area has improved by 70%. 2589 At Gamma Station Three, an ancient mystery is unveiled. 2593 The subspace communication systems of the Federation and the Commonwealth are connected, allowing real time communication between the two Astro-political entitles. (As well as allowing role players from both nations to interact in the same simulated worlds.) 2595 By this time the citizens of the Federation and the Commonwealth regularly visit the other nation, as the routes between them which were travelled by Anna almost 2 centuries before become widely travelled. The Enterprise J is decommissioned. 2596 The environmental conditions in the nuked area of the Dyson Sphere have improved by 75%.
The 27th Century 2608 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 K is commissioned. At the time it is the largest Federation starship ever constructed (which is why it took so long to long to commission) 2622 The Federation admits its 450th member, the Commonwealth its 225th member. 2637 A planet close to the Galactic edge joins the Federation. The last planetary visit by the Federation or the Commonwealth before 2666 occurs at Lateoval. 2638 The Enterprise discovers a physical duplicate of Bajor; however, it has no intelligent life on it. 2640 The Federation admits its 452nd member. 2643 The Enterprise investigates possible Borg activity close to Federation space, but they come up blank. 2647 The Federation and the Talarians become allies. 2452 A planet close the Galactic edge joins the Commonwealth. 2653 The Enterprise-K mysteriously disappears. This disappearance will remain unsolved for millennia. Late 2656 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701-L is commissioned. The Federation admits its 455th member. 2663 The Enterprise explores to the Core-ward of the Federation, as part of a Starfleet program to explore along the paths of Voyager and its duplicates. 2664 The Enterprise returns to the Federation and is patrols its border with the Tzenkethi, whom are still relatively antagonistic to the Federation at this time. 2665 The Enterprise explores near the Galactic rim. It is also involved in an incident with a Federation scientist. The scientist had invented a nuclear inhibitor, which he calls the Tox Utaht. The Enterprise finds itself chased by Vogon criminals when Kal Dano (the scientist) comes on board with the inhibitor. The Vogons chase the Enterprise into the heart of the Federation. When the Vogons threaten to destroy the Enterprise, Dano hacks into the Enterprise computer and the Enterprise travels through time to the 22nd Century. Upon their return the Enterprise crew reflect that legends dating back to the 24th Century had been verified. As a result of this Starfleet investigates the possibility that other time travel legends may also be true. 2666 The Enterprise visits many pre-industrial worlds. One of these is Lateoval, where they find that the area formerly occupied by the Kalateo Empire has begun to recover from the centuries of barbarism. 2667 The Enterprise explores along the Galactic rim, close to where Anna had explored 2 centuries earlier, (The Federation has explored a 20 light year radius around her route from where had met Gary Seven, until she had returned to the Federation, by this time, with the exception of some areas of the route that have been conquered by the Borg.). They find that on some of the worlds they visit that there are legends about Q. 2668 The Enterprise does some more exploration, and stops a conspiracy from taking over a Federation colony. 2669 The Enterprise makes contact with a Voth City Ship which was exploring distant regions of the galaxy. The Voth had hardly changed from when Voyager had contact with them 3 centuries before. The contact doesn’t go well, and the City Ship returns to the Delta Quadrant. The City Ship reports to the Elders about the Federation and the Commonwealth. 2670 The Enterprise explores, they stop another conspiracy taking over another Federation colony. This conspiracy seems to be connected to the earlier one. The Voth Elders decide that the existence of both the Federation and the Commonwealth presents a threat to Voth Doctrine. They then unanimously declare a Crusade against the 2 Astro-political entities. 2671 A remote Commonwealth outpost falls to the Voth, in the first attack of the Crusade, the war will become known as the Voth War to the citizens of the Federation and the Commonwealth. The Enterprise is part of a task force sent to investigate the loss of communication with the outpost. A Voth fleet is present. About 10 sectors (out of thousands) fall to the Voth before the end of the year. 2672 The Voth War continues. 20 more sectors fall to the Voth. The Commonwealth and the Dominion join in on the Federation’s side. The Tholians declare neutrality. Many people flee the Federation and the Commonwealth towards the outer rim of the galaxy… 2673 The Voth make more inroads in Federation, and now Commonwealth territory. The Tzenkethi join the Federation/Commonwealth Alliance. It is found that the Voth are massacring any human populations that they encounter, irrespective of whether they originate in the Federation or the Commonwealth. The Enterprise is often on the front lines. The Galaxy’s Edge Station is set up, on the edge of the Galaxy, far away from the Voth war front. It is established as a base for exploration beyond the edge of the Galaxy. 2674 The front lines of the Voth War continue to move back and forth across 1 thousand light years of space, throughout the year, in both Federation and Commonwealth space. Cardassia is briefly occupied, there is a battle at Deep Space Nine, but the Bajorans, a Starfleet fleet led by the Enterprise and the Dominion defeat the Voth attempt to enter the Wormhole, and occupy the station and Bajor. At the end of the year the Voth are in retreat, and the allies have taken the war to Voth Space in the Delta Quadrant. Some extragalactic visitors make first contact with the Federation at the Galaxy’s Edge station. 2675 The Voth War comes to an end by the end of the year. The Alliance had gained help from Species 8472 and various Hirogen hunting groups in the war by March, the Voth had withdrawn from the Alpha/Beta Quadrants by June and by October the Voth elders had decided that to continue would probably risk Voth extinction. The Enterprise re-starts exploring after the war ends. 2676 The USS Yorktown NCC 20071222 runs from the Federation, a fact that only the Captain of the ship knows about. The crew think they are on a long range exploration mission. The Yorktown runs into a region towards the Galactic core that is still unexplored. 2677 More first contacts at the Galaxy’s Edge Station The Yorktown discovers a partial duplicate of Earth, the sentient species is still Human, and the Old World is the same, but the New World is completely different. This Earth is about 1200 years behind, with its Columbus sailing into a completely different area than our Columbus. They investigate this Earth briefly and then continues on its way. 2678 The Yorktown continues to flee from the Federation. Starfleet Command sends some ships in pursuit of the Yorktown. 2679 At the Galaxy’s Edge Station, more ships leave to explore the Near-Galactic space. The Yorktown defends a pre-industrial planet from a Borg incursion. It appeared that the Borg were intending to assimilate the planet slowly. They also make contact with explorers from a duplicate Vulcan. 2680 The Enterprise makes contact with the Telaxian Homeworld as part of a Federation/Commonwealth program to explore the region that the original Voyager explored in its first 3 years in the Delta Quadrant before they ran into the Borg. The Telaxians decide to start official relations with the Federation. The USS Endeavour NCC 11607002, one of the ships chasing after the Yorktown discovers the partial duplicate of Earth. After investigating it, (in particular the European reactions to Columbus’s descriptions of the New World) they head back towards the Federation, to report on that world. 2681 At Galaxy’s Edge, a Federation ship comes back with news of a second Doomsday Machine similar to that encountered by the Enterprise and the Constellation in 2267. The Federation mobilises a fleet to intercept the supposed machine. The Yorktown runs at high Slipstream into the core, where they discover many wonders including Iconian remnant civilisations, duplicates of Cardassia, Qo’nos, Tellar and Pacifica, and another Dyson Sphere, this one is different in that it has at least 10 M-Class planets and 3 different Ringworlds inside it. This Sphere is even more populated than the one that the Federation/Commonwealth etc is familiar with. The planets and the Ringworlds are also very populated. The Endeavour arrives at the Federation. Starfleet Command sends it out again, and then sends other ship to investigate the Partial Duplicate of Earth further. 2682 The Yorktown leaves the Core into the Gamma Quadrant. The USS Diamond NCC 26821217 arrives at the partial duplicate of Earth. The Enterprise is involved in a skirmish in between a Kazon faction and some Vidiians. 2683 A Federation fleet intercepts the second Doomsday Machine and manages to destroy it, though not without losses. 2684 The Enterprise returns to Federation space. The Diamond finds that the Spanish are exploring the New World less than they did on the Federation and Commonwealth Earths. The existence of the Duplicate of Earth discovered by the original NCC 1701 (The Miri/Prolongation Project Plague Earth), is declassified, towards the end of the year. 2685 At Galaxy’s Edge a Kelvan ambassador arrives. The Yorktown confronts a Section 31 group that had been following them through the years since they left the Federation throughout this year. There is some social turmoil in the Federation as a result of the information being released that Kirk had discovered a duplicate Earth. There is a lot of discussion. Counterfactual historians (both professional and amateur) ponder what would have had happened if the information was released earlier. The effects of the genetic bottleneck caused by there being only 2 Humpback Whales being rescued through time 4 centuries before have become apparent by this time. (With the Whales being extinct on the duplicate Earths discovered so far as well) The Diamond continues to study the partial duplicate of Earth (which doesn’t have Humpbacks) 2686 The Yorktown is thrown through a wormhole into a distant portion of the Delta Quadrant (away from any Federation or Commonwealth presence). This throws off the Section 31 pursuit. (Though the crew doesn’t realise that there are a few agents among them) The Endeavour makes many first contacts with worlds just beginning to use warp drive. The USS Tolkien NCC 19361956 which had been following the Yorktown’s trail makes contact with explorers from the same duplicate Vulcan that was previously contacted by the Yorktown. The Gamma Quadrant duplicate Earth (discovered by the Felis 2 centuries before) accomplishes warp drive. The Roman Empire ruled by Marcus Aurelius is the nation that launched the warp ship. The Federation and the Dominion make first contact with it. 2687 The Tolkien heads back towards the Federation… 2688 The Yorktown begins to explore the region of the galaxy it is in. Towards the end of the year the first officer finds out the real reason why the ship left the Federation, he confronts the Captain, who says that nothing can be done about it now, as the Yorktown crew are in just as much trouble as he is. The first officer is sworn to secrecy so as to keep crew morale up. 2689 When visiting a preindustrial planet, some of the Enterprise crew become involved in a quest with some of the natives (despite the Prime Directive, it still gets broken sometimes even in the 27th Century). The Tolkien arrives back at the Federation. The Tolkien is soon sent back onto the Yorktown hunt. A small fleet is sent to make official contact with the duplicate Vulcan. At Galaxy’s Edge, there are hints of a cluster of Preserver worlds in a nearby globular cluster. A small fleet is sent to investigate. 2690 The Yorktown protects a preindustrial world from a Hirogen hunting group. 2691 The Federation fleet arrives at the duplicate Vulcan towards the end of the year. The Vulcans are logically surprised about the existence of the Federation Vulcan. 2694 The Federation signs the Temporal Accords. 2698 The Commonwealth signs the Temporal Accords.
The 28th Century 2703 The Enterprise makes first contact with a Carthaginian Star Empire based on a Preserver world. There is a bungle in the first contact on behalf of the Carthaginians which makes them think that the Federation is hostile. The Endeavour discovers evidence of a duplicate Voyager that didn’t make it back to the Federation. The Yorktown is chased by the Borg for most of this year. 2704 The Diamond finds that there was once a steampunk civilisation in the New World of the partial duplicate of Earth; however there is no indication as to why that civilisation had fallen. 2706 The Tolkien discovers a world that has physical characteristics that come from Earth, Betazed, Bajor and Vulcan. The Earth characteristics include most of Eurasia, and Northern Africa, with Vulcan characteristics extending from the Sahara. There are Humans and Betazoids on the planet, with the Eurasia in a historical state similar to that of the 5th century AD. 2709 At Galaxy’s Edge, Q arrives and issues the senior staff a challenge… The Enterprise explores a remote region of the Gamma Quadrant through this year. 2710 At Galaxy’s Edge Q continues to taunt the station staff. 2712 The Yorktown has to fight for survival against a mysterious empire through this year. 2715 The Endeavour leaves the Federation in pursuit of the Yorktown, after having returned again to report on another discovery. 2716 More of the Yorktown crew find out the real reason behind the ship’s ‘mission’ throughout the year. Morale drops a little as a result of this. 2724 The Diamond returns to the Federation from its 4th study of the partial duplicate of Earth, early in the year. It is sent out again with another ship towards the end of the year. 2725 The Tolkien discovers the Dyson Sphere that the Yorktown had discovered. It sends a report about it back to the Federation by shuttle. 2727 The Tzenkethi sign the Temporal Accords. 2730 The Federation gains its 675th member. 2733 The Endeavour returns to the Federation after a decade of having no leads as to the location of the Yorktown. 2743 The Tolkien returns to the Federation after having no leads on the Yorktown for 15 years. The Federation declares the Yorktown lost, and officially calls off the search. Section 31 will continue the search for another century. The Diamond and the other ship return from their 5th study of the partial duplicate of Earth, where a New World civilisation has turned the tables on the English expansion into their region. 2744 The Tolkien is sent to a pre-warp world to determine whether the peculiarities noted on that world are the result of Federation involvement sometime in the centuries past. 2746 The Enterprise prevents a conspiracy from taking over a Starbase in a distant region of the Alpha Quadrant. 2749 A secession referendum is defeated in a group of Federation members that would have had broken away and formed their own Federation. 2753 The Enterprise L is decommissioned 1 of the members that was in the group that would have broken away from the Federation, breaks away from the Federation by itself. 2754 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 M is commissioned. 2766 The duplicate Vulcan joins the Federation; it is the 700th Member of the Federation. The Commonwealth has 425 members at this time. 2779 The Federation gains its 705th member, a world that had gained warp flight 50 years before, it is also one of those worlds that had been affected by Anna Jones’s journey about 350 years before. The Federation now shares a common border with the Commonwealth. 2793 At Khitomer, the 500th anniversary of the Khitomer accords is celebrated. Khitomer has been in the Federation for centuries by this point. 2794 The Enterprise makes first contact with a Preserver colony of Polynesians. 2796 The 707th member joins the Federation. 2799 The Commonwealth gains its 430th member.
The 29th Century 2803 An exploration base officially known as Starbase 3000 is established deep in the Beta Quadrant by the Federation. It is unofficially known as Base 3K- Deep Space. 2808 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 N is commissioned. (The Enterprise M having been destroyed or decommissioned by this point). By this point Starfleet has taken on a temporal monitoring/policing role, in cooperation with the Federation’s Temporal Integrity Commission. 2824 Braxton joins Starfleet Academy. 2839 The Federation is involved in a minor Time War against the Carthaginian Star Empire through this year. In the final resulting timeline, the war ends after the Commonwealth threatens to join in on the Federation’s side. The Federation and the Commonwealth instigate an amendment to the Temporal Accords so that Time Wars would not be carried out. A conventional cold war ensues. 2855 Starfleet commissions its first exclusive Timeship. The USS Gallifrey NCV 196301119. 2863 The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 O is commissioned. The Enterprise explores a globular cluster towards the Large Magellanic Cloud. This includes some temporal exploration... 2864 The Enterprise continues to explore the globular cluster. The Timeship USS Wells NCV 196301898 is commissioned. This is the prototype of the Wells Class Timeship. 2865 The Gallifrey is lost in the past after Carthaginian agents sabotage it. This is seen by later historians as the real beginning of the Temporal Cold War. The Wells attempts a search for it, but they cannot find it. 2866 The Wells investigates a faction which may be influencing the Suliban Cabal in the 22nd Century. The Enterprise returns to Federation space. The Commonwealth Starfleet commissions its first exclusive Timeship, the CSS Verne SCV 18632866. 2867 The Enterprise patrols the Federation’s border with the Carthaginians. The situation there is tense. The Temporal Cold War spreads to the Gamma Quadrant. It is noted by the commander (of the 4th version of) Deep Space Nine that the Prophets seem to be stopping many incursions into Bajor’s past. 2868 The Wells is involved in many temporal incursions relating to various important Federation historical figures. (Including Archer, Kirk, Picard, Sisko, Janeway…) 2869 Time Base Zeta goes online. It monitors temporal activity in various areas of the Federation. 2873 The USS Relativity NCV-474439-G is commissioned. Braxton, who was recovered from the 20th Century following a run in with Voyager, is assigned as Captain. The first mission of the Relativity is an investigation into the mysteries of many disappearances of Starfleet ships in the past centuries. 2874 The Relativity is involved in many temporal incursions that relate to the journeys of the various Voyager’s through the Delta Quadrant. Time Base Zeta investigates an incursion into the past of Trill... 2875 The Relativity investigates a series of events in which the Voyager is destroyed by a temporal disruption device. Captain Braxton recruits Seven of Nine a few times to track down who is responsible and return history to normal. It turns out that the person responsible for Voyagers destruction in the alternate timelines is a future version of Braxton. Lt. Ducane relieves Braxton of duty and arrests him for ‘crimes he would commit’. In the aftermath of this Ducane becomes the Captain of the Relativity. 2876 There is a brief respite in the Temporal Cold War, when the Federation and the Commonwealth try to negotiate with the Carthaginians. 2878 The Tzenkethi join the Federation. 2881 The Relativity investigates a temporal incursion relating to a mission in which the Enterprise D was involved in. 2885 Another faction joins in the Temporal Cold War, Opposing both the Federation/Commonwealth Alliance and the Carthaginians. This faction would continue to oppose the Federation through to the 31st Century. Their leader is called Vosk… 2890 Another Interstellar Polity similar to the Federation and the Commonwealth is discovered. This is the Union of Democratic Allied Planets, or the Union. The Union is of a similar technological level to the Federation and the Commonwealth. 2891 The Enterprise visits the Federation observation colony in the Lateoval system, when it is discovered that Section 31 might be interfering with one of the civilisations there. 2893 The Relativity becomes involved when one of Anna's decendents tries to interfere with Anna's journey. 2896 The Union signs the Temporal Accords. 2897 The Federation gains its 1750th member. 2899 The Commonwealth gains its 1375th member.
