Re: Deck Plans V: The Not-So-Final Go Around

The hangar deck entrance will have to wait. The plasma transfer conduits will have to be rearranged slightly to get that entrance to work, and that's not something I want to tackle at the moment.

As for the crew quarters, here's what I've got to work with, from Matt Jefferies' set drawings:

Standard arrangement, with a minimum of clutter.

If anyone can make out those callouts, please speak up.

The arrangement of Yeoman Rand's quarters is rather interesting. At least it shows that those cabins can be rearranged in any number of ways.

And what is probably going to be the most useful picture...

Completely empty!

Should be fun when putting in the bunk beds.

The call outs I can read are "see corridor dwg for detail this side", something about "specs on ... closet area", "sliding doors finish 2 sides" and "floors to ..."

I think the "Floors to" one says "Floors to be carpeted", but I'm pretty sure that info doesn't apply to deckplans.

I see the 'carpeted' now. I agree. None of it applies to deckplans, only to set building.

CRA! Where do you come up with this stuff? Those Jefferies drawings are great! I'm working on a similar project and this sort of drawing is exactly the sort of thing that I'm looking for.

Got 'em from Shaw, actually, but for the most part, it's stuff that's been around for a while now, in various forms.

Is there a handy link to some magical place this might all be archived at? Or might you be willing to share what you've collected? Any set drawings would be invaluble to my current project and I'd be eternally grateful...

CRA, would you be willing to share those with me? I know someone who's putting together a series of set models, like the bridge model and this may be beneficial to them as well.

Re: Deck Plans V: The Not-So-Final Go Around

I think I'm now at the point where I need to determine an exact scale for this bad boy, so I can properly match up the interiors with the exteriors.

I might just have to resize that Sickbay and transporter room all over again.
