Good call!! I wonder which one is more agile for all the backflips...
That's what stunt doubles are for.

Here's my list I put together for the DS9 Relaunch. Most of these people were either author's ideas, or they were ones the authors liked.
Staring:
Vaughn: Bruce Boxleitner
Prynn: Grace Park
Shar: Vincent Kartheiser
Taran'atar: Christopher Judge
Akaar: Vladimir Kulich
Treir: Suzie Plakson
Bowers: Roger Cross
Vretha zh'Thane: Stockard Channing
Mathias: Marg Helgenberger
Yevir: Liam Neeson

Hope this helps

That's a damn good cast list there, it would cost an absolute fortune to keep all these people going if this were on TV. You gotta love the relaunch.

Yeah, but that's the fun of fantasy casting, you can cast the biggest names you want.

Am I missing something? With the exception of Liam Neeson, everyone on JD's cast list has done extensive TV work, most of them as series regulars. No disrespect to any of them, but they aren't exactly "the biggest names" out there.

Channing and Helgenberger might be expensive, but yeah, the others, aside from Neeson, are all working TV actors.

I didn't necisarily mean that they were all big names, I was just talking about doing this kind of casting in general.

Yeah. For instance, you'd never be able to afford a big movie star like, say, Patrick Stewart to do television. But I think he'd be perfect for the role of Picard.

Well, if you're going to go that route, why not think big? Imagine if you could get Oscar-winning actresses like Louise Fletcher or Whoopi Goldberg to do Trek...

Now you're not making sense. What's next? Members of the Royal Shakespeare Company playing Trek characters?

Not in fantasy casting - they're totally unnecessary there!

So does anyone have any ideas for the Aventine, and Columbia crews yet? Hmmm, should I put Tarses under my DS9 or Destiny cast lists?

Well, we know that Tarses is Spencer Garrett (cf. TNG: "The Drumhead"). Bowers has been variously suggested to be Michael Boatman, Ving Rhames, and somebody else who slips my mind. I believe Dave has said he favors Lena Headey for Lonnoc Kedair.

I imagine Law & Order's Milena Govich as Mikaela Leishman.
