Sweet, it's always nice when you hear someone say the same thing you did.

He's a big Trek fan too. Apparently that's what inspired him to act. And I read an interview where he bemoaned not getting a role in the nu-Trek movie. He said that he also moaned to Abrams & co (with whom he works on Fringe), they said something along the lines of 'If we'd known you were a fan, we had a role you could have played.' My money is on Captain Robau.

How about Betty White as Trys?
Not to take away from the light-hearted fun and amusing mental image that gave me, but I had cast Betty White as President Bacco in my mind.

I've been going with Cherry Jones for Bacco myself, since the last season of 24.

^Maybe the Cherry Jones/President Taylor from S7 of 24, but the Taylor of S8 was weak. Continuing the Bacco comparison, what Taylor did in S8, bringing in Logan and actually listening to him, would be the equivelant of Bacco bringing in Min Zife as an advisor and adapting his methods.

Yeah, Season 7 Pres. Taylor, I don't think Bacco would stupid enough to do what Tayor did in S8.

I still think Fionnuala Flanagan, who has been in most of the modern Trek series and in Lost would be an excellent Bacco. Not sure if KRAD has ever had any views on this observation, but if he has, I'd like to hear them.

Maybe it's just her character on Lost, but I find her a little cold and creepy to be as warm as I want to imagine Bacco being.

She was a little more warm (but not much) in Brotherhood. I could easily see her as Bacco too.

What about Betty White for Bacco? Her recent comedic resurgence aside, she has the ability to project Bacco's warmth and will.

And she's got the language down, too.

I'd always pictured Helen Mirren as T'Latrek.
