I don't know, I kinda like the shine. It doesn't work with that texture, but there's no reason a captain can't run a starship with a little polish.

Guys, ignore the shine. All of the current textures are only placeholders anyway.

It gives the crewmen something to do on those long runs to distant star systems, letting them get out of the lower decks and see the galaxy.
