(spoilers) Does Baltar end up a "goodie"

I quit watching BSG but i was just wondering, was he pure evil or did he end up alright in the end?

Pure evil? Was he ever?

He made a lot of mistakes, some downright awful decisions among them, but in the end, he was only human. He had a happy ending of sorts, too.

I think Baltar's character actually had the most tangible resolution of any of the primary characters in the series. He finally finds his faith and conviction (his speech to Cavil), he reunites with Caprica, and the two settle down to live a quiet life on a farm. As for whether or not he's good or evil ... Harvey's right. He's highly flawed: brilliant but often selfish and cowardly. But his resolution seems to suggest that he's come to terms with those flaws.

We should all be so lucky. LOL

Gaius was never evil. It was one of the most refreshing parts of NUBSG. TOSBSG Baltar was such a BWA HA HA twirl his moustache kind of bad guy...

Giving the nuke to Gina was pure evil, no matter how he tries to spin it. Though that was an ill-advised storyline.

Baltar was a criminal for his actions in the destruction of the Colonies and should have paid a price for that. But he's not evil because he didn't think Six would use them to destroy the Colonies.

The Baltar we see on Caprica isn't the same one that set foot on Earth. He evolved and found himself as did Caprica.

To me, Baltar was more of an arrogant fool, and not evil (as opposed to TOS). Yeah, when he was president, he surrendered to the Cylons. But he truly didn't have much choice.

It would have been an interesting to have a human villain who would have sided with the Cylons...possibly for personal gain, or what they could justify as good for humans.

Zarek & Gaeta's rebellion seemed like the best approximation, but it seemed like it was too quick in the making.

Baltar was not evil Baltar just did whats in the best interests of Baltar at that moment.

You see this early on season 1 or 2 where their stuck on that planet. Where Baltar ends up shooting the psyco 'lets all kill ourselves in a futile attack' Officer. It was in his best interests at that time but turned out to be a good thing.
