The Outpost Byron is a spin off of the USS Matahari - set roughly 5 years in the future. Outpost Byron is a Section 31 starbase located in a strategic location near the edges of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. Designated as both a way station and command post for Section 31 and Starfleet Intel joint operations. Just because the station says in one place doesn't mean all the action is stationary!

There are a few facets to this sim that my XO and I have in mind for this one - one being a more covert ops/spy feel. So if you're a fan of shows like Alias, Nikita, and Covert Affairs and of course 007, this could be a fun sim for you. The next facet being a more diverse location - with a sort of DS9/Babylon 5 feel with exotic merchants, visitors and ambassadors visiting from time to time to deal with various issues. And there are other facets we'll keep under wraps until it's time to reveal them.

Investigating the unkown... (USS Hornet)

The year is 2335....Various species in the Alpha Quadrant have been at
war with one another while the ships of the United Federation of
Planets continue to explore the galaxy.

The Hornet is underway to complete a diplomatic assignment, meeting
the USS Rethwellan in the Carolan System. They will be taking aboard a
Special Federation Envoy to the mysterious Tanu race, who will open
diplomatic relations and hopefully end the potential war brewing
between the Tanu and their even more mysterious neighbors the
Firvulag. The Hornet has added a Chief of Operations, a Chief
Engineer, and a Chief of Intelligence to her roster.

The USS Hornet is a Message Board simulation hosted by FSF Mariko and FSF Lensman, and a part of the Epsilon Fleet.

Following the brutal attack by the Vaadwaur nearly three years ago the Romulan Star Empire was plunged into chaos not seen since the destruction of their Homeworld during the Hobus Event of 2387. Their new homeworld was devastated, their military broken, and their forces decimated. Many thought that the Romulans themselves would never be able to survive the new hand that the galaxy had dealt them.

Now, three years later, the Romulans are blossoming as members of the New Federation. At the request of the new Praetor, T'Jan, the Starship Enterprise has been dispatched for her induction ceremony on the tranquil world of Nova Roma. It's a mission that'll return the crew of the Federation Flagship back to their roots as they support their newest brothers and sisters to the future as valued members of the New Federation.

Nonetheless, things are not as they seem on the beautiful capital world of the former Romulan Empire. While supplies flow in the capital, shortages of every kind threaten the citizens outside of the Central City giving rise to a brutal black market more dangerous than any Galactic Supremacy disruptor. Can the crew of the Enterprise deliver the needed assistance to the struggling planet, or will greed consume the planet for all eternity?

Star Trek Continuing Voyages is a long running (10 years as of January 2011) Star Trek PBEM hosted on Yahoo Groups. "The Frontier"

Located in one of the most distant reaches of Federation space, the Frontier lies in the area where Federation, Klingon, and Romulan space meet together. Far from most patrol assignments, the Frontier has long been known to be a haven for smugglers, black markets, and pirates. Long neglected after the Dominion War, the only Starfleet presence in the sector has been an assortment of starbases and outposts. While these stations do have their own garrisons, they are usually kept busy just protecting their own assets. There are a few newer colonies that have been established on planets around the sector, but they generally have had to look out for themselves, as the stations lack the resources to extend protection to the colonies.

Finally, after several years of neglect, Starfleet has decided that a stronger presence is needed in the system to restore the people's faith in Starfleet's ability to see to their needs. To this end, they have selected the USS Discovery, a Nebula Class Starship fresh out of a 3 year overhaul, to be their ambassador to the residents of the Frontier. The ship is commanded and crewed by several of the old USS Sentinel's crew, an Intrepid Class starship that sustained considerable damage during it's last mission. There mission statement is very clear: bring order to the Frontier. But their task is a daunting one, and the crew of the Discovery will quite possibly face more difficult challenges in the Frontier than they have before...quite possibly more so than even during the war.

We invite you to come and join us as we take on the Frontier, and all of the challenges that it has to offer. Many adversities await us, but we will respond to them as one crew...one voice. Above all, we will represent both our ship and ourselves in the Starfleet tradition of excellence. Our job is restore law and order to the Frontier, but the question on everybody's mind is can this "Wild West" ever be tamed...

We are currently recruiting for a new Chief Security/Tactical Officer for our group. Holding the rank of Lieutenant, this is a Senior Staff position within our group and the person who assumes this role will oversee a group of three other roleplayers within our game. We are also recruiting for an Assistant Chief Flight Control Officer. This position will eventually be promoted to Chief Flight Control Officer.

We are also recruiting for our new sister simulation the USS Nostromo. The Nostromo is a recently launched starship that has been assigned to the Enterprise as a support craft. We are presently looking for a Chief Engineer for this group.
