Maybe you should reserve such comments untill having actually looked over the records and archives of such a simm.

and possibly stop useing snide comments to promote your own simm at the cost of others, as if thats your tack, it shows a startling lack of originality.

For honour and glory!

Hey all of you,

I'm thinking of settin up a klingon RPG (working on the website at the
moment) and was wondering if anyones interested in any of the position
or helping it get going.

I'm thinking of having it set in the post nemesis universe (not long
after) and possibly have it set ina time when the klingons are
beggining to crumble after the war and the lack of decent leadership
(assume Martok/worf are no longer incharge)

Well if anyones interested drop me an e-mail at

amc698@yahoo.com

Look forward to hearing from you

Re: XO Position Posting

I must have missed something here. Thank you Tiffany if you deleted something that was defaming. The fleet, I assure you, is a strong and unique one - one of the only truly democratic fleets on the web ;-). The position of XO on the Washington is still open if anyone in still interested.

Thanks,
Russ aka Fleet Admiral Mirtoh

Far Point Fleet

Far Point Fleet

“We are alone…We stand unafraid, staring into the darkness of the unknown and find in our hearts courage instead of fear. We are the men and women of Far Point Fleet. We are charged with establishing a strong Federation presence here, so far from Sector 001…And we will succeed.” ~ Fleet Admiral James “Rook” Mirtoh

Based out of Starbase 25, precariously positioned far from known space, Far Point Fleet stands ready to meet the challenges that come from being so far from home.

Assignment to Far Point Fleet is considered the most dangerous and exciting post that Starfleet has to offer since the potential for excitement is greater here than anywhere else in the known universe.

Do you have what it takes to explore the great unknown? Do you have what it takes to work so far from support and protection? If you do, then come and join us. We are FAR POINT FLEET. Application for Far Point Fleet

12th EDF - The Angry Apes

The Federation lies devastated by the Borg Wars that lasted nearly twenty years. Victory has come, yet at a great price. The fate of much of the Alpha Quadrant is unknown, and now little remains of the once-grand Federation and its Starfleet beyond the Sol System. Re-exploration attempts try to discover the fate of former allies and enemies alike, but the galaxy will never be the same again. There are many new threats, even with the war over; pirates, remnants of the Borg, the new, emotional and dangerous Vulcans that have forsaken their former ways of peace and control. Many forces remain which still perceive Earth as a grand prize, and after twenty years, Earth is no longer the bastion of strength that it once was. Sol is vulnerable to outside attacks, and the resources of the fledgling returning Federation so stretched that defences are limited.

Enter the Earth Defence Force, and more specifically, the 12th starfighter squadron, better known as "The Angry Apes". Operating out of Mars and making the USS Thunderchild their home, they are a rapid response unit to deal with sudden threats that may emerge. Led by Commander Joseph Ryan, a veteran of the Borg Wars and one of the few truly experienced pilots left, it is the duty of the Apes to be the first to deal with any dangers to the Federation's heart that could arise.

But the Federation has changed, and not just physically. After twenty years of war, the shining utopian ideals have faded, and cynicism has settled in to the higher echelons of Starfleet Command and the Federation Council. No longer is the aspiration to explore new life and new civilisations the driving force behind humanity, but rather, survival by any means. And this will include abandoning the principles upon which the Federation was once founded in order to ensure her continued survival. A quick, violent explosion is now thought to be better than a long, diplomatic talk.

There are those who argue bitterly with the new path the Federation has taken, still clinging to the old ideals of days gone by. Starfleet Command see the Apes as symbols to display the efficacity of the new school of thought as much as a line of defence. The media has seized Ryan as a hero and fight to build him into something he is not. Conflict is within the Federation as much as it is without. Will the old, honourable ideals win over the new, cynical desire for survival? Will politics for power undermine a mission for protection? And, at the heart of the matter, will the threats from outside truly finish off the struggling Federation?

12th EDF Squadron and the USS Thunderchuld is a PBF game in Bravo Fleet's Futility's End. We are accepting many positions, from pilots of the Apes to the crew of the Thunderchild. The aim is for a solid, character-based game in a gritty Trek universe facing moral quandraries, political power-games, and personal conflict as much - perhaps more - than action and adventure. So take a look at our website, and join today!

Re: PROJECT HOMELAND DEFENDER

The unthinkable has happened and life may never be the same again. Earlier this month a group of unidentified starships entered the CoreWorlds. The mysterious visitors came quietly and ignored any attempts at communication. A combined fleet met with them, but the never expected what came next. One by one additional ships decloaked nearby and started an assault against the gathered ships. They were able to pierce the blockade with their superior numbers, and the war for Earth began.

The enemy forces were stronger than we had ever expected. A combined fleet of Federation forces led by the Enterprise engaged the enemy in orbit of our tattered homeland. Over a thousand Federation ships engaged the enemy fleet, but they were still outnumbered. Our own ships started to buckle under the combined onslaught of the enemy vessels. Slowly though the enemy started to give ground. Our ships were able to destroy their defensive perimeter and we made it back to Earth. The Federation forces were able to drive back what was left of the enemy fleet and expel them from our territory.

But it was a bittersweet victory. The remains of the Federation Starfleet now hang in orbit of Earth, and the numbers are not very impressive. Only around 100 ships remain out of a group once numbering in the thousands. Millions are injured both on Earth and in the Fleet, and thousands have already lost their lives. Fear has swept through the worlds of the Federation, and this fear is overriding. Worlds have seceded, and others are threatening the same out of fear they won’t be protected. Throughout the Federation decorated personnel (engineers, military, scientists) are resigning from their posts to return to their own worlds in terror of what may happen next.

The Federation’s Defensive Ministry is also been overcome with fear over the unknown enemies. Resulting they have issued orders for the creation of a new group tasked with defense of the core worlds, they‘re also going to have to seek out the people that committed this atrocity. This mission isn’t for the faint of heart, and danger is going to be their constant companion. I have issued a call for men and women interested in this dangerous mission, and I hope that someone will heed my call.

Project Homeland Defender is a PBEM RPG Game set in the future of the Star Trek Universe. Following the exploits of the personnel of this Project (the crew of station Defender 1 and the USS Defiant), this group will be darker and more character oriented than most RPG games. We are not a fleet RPG group, nor are we planning to be a Fleet. All of our stories are played on the same group and the stories are all interconnected. We hope that you will join us in our adventures.

Star Trek: Echoes

Star Trek: Echoes stechoes.com

Star Trek: Echoes is a community created to support the ideals and creativity of Star Trek RPGing. Our Goal is to foster a player-centric game that's main focus is the stories and players rather than the game as a whole. We have strong stories, developed characters, and an amazing atmosphere of adventurous creativity.

Check us out at http://stechoes.com

Some Quick Questions

1) What is Star Trek: Echoes?
Star Trek: Echoes is a roleplaying game community centered around the Star Trek Megaverse. It was cofounded by Mark Tucker and Steve Mallory, former freelance artists of Paramount Digital Entertainment. Both have nearly two decades of online gaming experience combined, and started Star Trek: Echoes as a player-centric gaming organization.

2) What eras of Star Trek does Echoes play within?
Right now, Echoes plays in the 'modern' era of Trek, that is, there is a tense peace with the Romulan Empire as the Federation and her Klingon allies work to rebuild the Cardassian Union. We also are launching a ship set during the "Excelsior" Time period.

3) Echoes offers both Chat and PBeM games. What is the difference between Play By Email and Chat based roleplaying games?
Chat based games tend to be a bit more immediate in terms of action and storytelling. You and your fellow players are participating in realtime to create the story, and providing character insights with email logs. Play By Email, or PBeM, is a much slower game, focusing more on character development than fast-paced action. As a player in PBeM, you and the other participants are, essentially, creating a work of interactive fiction.

4) What kind of posts do you have available?
Executive Officer, Helm, Security, Tactical, Science, Medical, Communications/Linguistics, Counselor, Engineering, Operations, and many more.

Thank you,
Mark Tucker

"Project: Stormwatch"

2380 - "Project: Stormwatch"

With the A.Q. Alliance only just beginning to flourish & resume it's initial course of expansion, a new agency is emmerging from the Officer Exchange Programs of the Security/Intelligence communities of Starfleet Intelligence, Klingon Empire's Black Fleet, Cardassia's (surviving) agents of the now-defunct Obsiddian Order & reunified Romulan "Tal Shiar" + Vulcan "V'Shar".

It's purpose: to track, study, infiltrate & minimize or altogether neutralize difficult internal/external obstacles (i.e. The Kohn-Ma, Borg Collective, The Dominion, The Orion Syndicate, & it's "Coalition of Non-Aligned Worlds".)

Sanctioned, supported, but never acknowledged....

The beefed-up Rapier-Class U.S.S. Churchill-E & its crew, prepared to take on whatever arises beyond the warp horizon...
