Star Trek: Vengeance

"This is the story of seven strangers who make the ultimate discovery ... the path to redemption."

In 2390, the Federation has chosen to move forward from the days of wars and battles by returning to its roots - exploring strange new worlds. With the Gamma Quadrant remaining unexplored, the powers that be have sent one vessel into the quadrant on a five-year mission. But this is anything but ordinary. This adventure is more than a story of a ship, it's about those who have left their homes in search of strange new worlds and civilizations. Each person has their own story, their own struggle, and their lives cross with one another. While completing their mission, they will be discovering something far more valuable; themselves.

Star Trek: Vengeance is a long-standing play by E-mail group. It is a character-driven, continuing plot adventure based in the Star Trek universe. We are currently recruiting new writers who are interested in creating dynamic characters, being involved in exciting, fresh plots, and focusing on characters more so than techno-babble. Just one post a week is required for participation! This Star Trek is like none other; think of Star Trek blended with TV's Dallas, Dynasty with a big-dose of science fiction. Interested? Join us today.

Re: USS Hercules Tactical/Security Staff

Want to try something less like the standard sim and more like a Tabletop game? Something where what you do actually matters and where your ships capabilities actually have a bearing on the game?

I did and have only been able to find the standard sim format here. So I'm starting a game at

Ship class to be determined by the group once it's assembled. Choices will be upgraded Ambassador class, stock Intrepid class, Steamrunner class with detachable science module, or an upgraded Niagara class.

You'll be helping to not only explore outer space but also a different format as I attempt to blend the Star Trek setting and aspects of simming into the Play by Forum RPGs using full dice mechanics that I generally run.

Many positions open. Including Captain!

EDIT: If you happen to know of another group doing something like that point me to them to at least check them out. I haven't been able to locate anything.

Star Trek: Redux

Space, the final frontier.

These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilizations; to boldly go where no man has gone before.

Welcome to Star Trek: Redux.

This is a PBEM RPG based on the upcoming feature film by JJ Abrams with a cast of new faces for the crew of the NCC-1701 Enterprise.

The RPG will be delving into stories from the original five year mission, however, interspersed with these will be new adventures and characters, which we hope will provide for some good story telling. As we are playing Trek in the 23rd century, there will be the obvious deference to using any characters or races that are chronologically inaccurate with the time frame. I.e. the Borg are not going to show up suddenly – well not without good reason anyway. The purpose here is to tell good stories and have fun doing it.

So join us on Redux and we’ll begin our new five year mission, where everything every thing old is very new again.

Let the adventure begin.

This is an adult game and audition posts will be required.

Commander Spock
Dr. Bones McCoy
Lt. Commander. Montgomery Scott
Lt. Nyota Uhura
Lt. Hikaru Sulu
Ensign Pavel Chekov

Original Characters are also welcome.

PLEASE NOTE: This game is not apart of any fleet nor ever will be and game play will be restricted to only one ship.

I don't have a problem with some people, I have a problem with ALL people. I don't discriminate.

Re: RPG Recruitment Thread

Hello everyone, I'd like to invite you all to the best forum based Trek RPG out there. We currently have 2 ships, the Intrepid class, Voyager and the Nebula class Endeavor and a fully functioning Federation space station, Deep Space 12. We focus on exploration and try to stay as canon as is humanly possible. Ie, you will never find some supership made up by fans or a shuttle capable of warp 15 or some such nonsense. Also, we are active, no posting and waiting 2 weeks for someone else. Some of our players post up to 8-10 posts a day!!

So, if your looking for an active, fun, exciting Trek RPG (that has excellent graphics by the way, LCARS, Ship pics, great Character pics, etc.), please visit us at:

Click on the forums link for the simm, or the website for background and information.

Re: RPG Recruitment Thread

I poked around horizons and noticed that you hadn't actually sunken deep enough to play on the Voyager, and instead wrote Voyager instead of Valiant. You might want to change your post to reflect that.

Re: RPG Recruitment Thread

The Unknown.

The expanse of territory that lies beyond one's borders, never discovered.

In the unknown lies the very antithesis to comfort and safety. Only hardship and uncertainty are guaranteed. Stars, planets, Alien species, astral pheomena... all are without clear definition until finally observed. Pain, tragedy, sickness and death... not only a certain risk, but virtually a promise to be paid in blood and tears.

And yet the unknown beckons with the call of the sirens, reaching out for those with stalwart constitution and intrepid spirit. It desires those who are restless and thirst for adventure. It wants those willing to undergo great sacrifice in their tireless quests. It is the proving ground for those who can rightfully call themselves 'Explorers'.

As long as the deeply rooted ambition for exploration remains within one's heart, there will always be explorers to travel the cosmos.

The USS Shoho is a Carrier class vessel preparing to leave the Federation's borders for the Unknown expanses beyond.

There are over two-thousand souls onboard the USS Shoho. All Explorers.

All two-thousand of them have stories that just wait to be told.

What will your story be?

The USS Shoho promises to be a sim that provides just about everything that a Star Trek sim can promise; Dangerous Adversaries, Scientific Discoveries, Thrilling Adventure, Fulfilling Interaction, Intriguing New Wonders... and yes, a use for everybody.

This sim is to be Character-Driven, which means the richness of the simming experience comes from what you- the individual simmer- put into it. Make no mistake, there will be plots of major significance, but the primary driving power will come from the individual posts that mold your character into someone that adds their own exquisite colors in the tapestry of our interaction.

As of right now, here are the available Chief Positions Available;

Chief Operations Officer
Chief Science Officer
Starfighter Commander

But do not despair! As stated, there are over two-thousand people onboard, which means two-thousand roles that can be performed. It will not matter whether you have a Department Head position or just an assistant position because each and every one of will you be considered equally valuable to this sim. As such we hope to accumulate plenty of people in the various departments to provide for interaction and your own delicious sub-plots and character arcs.

We need Engineers to wrestle with the logistics of power supply and conversation onboard a ship that is taxed to the limit due to its design. We need Starfighters by the score to engage in battles and dogfights- and there will be LOTS, guaranteed. We need scientists and medical personnel to help analyze and combat any biological dangers as well as record all the discoveries we come across. We need Diplomatic experts who can assist in First Contact procedures. We need Security Guards to maintain the peace onboard. We need Marines to kick butt in all directions. We even need civilians to perform certain functions onboard ship and even offer their own character arcs to who would wish to view them. All will be showcased, none will be left behind.

Taking a lower-rung position is also easier on you because you will not be needlessly badgered to keep involved in the missions if Real Life is giving you a hard time. These are essentially part-time positions you can apply for, and you can post whenever you like. All we ask is the posts you do make be proper and respectful.

If there is a specialist position that you can think of that we do not have listed, contact us.

USS Shoho is an affiliate of Task Force 17, Bravo Fleet. It is also a Play By SMS sim.

Welcome to the USS Asgard, a Norway Class vessel. The Norway Class vessel was originally concieved during the Dominion War as a diplomatic transport ship. But, this ship doesn't come without a bite.
