Re: Star Trek Continues: Episode 4 and beyond?

I think my words have been misunderstood.

As has been demonstrated innumerable times, I am all for constructive feedback when these films are released and have offered my own perspective and opinions as often as possible in that regard.

I'm not trying to discourage anyone from discussing this. I was simply stating my own confidence in the Star Trek Continues production crew.

Also: here's a great little blurb from the Continues Facebook page, published just over 20 minutes ago:

Star Trek Continues wrote:

In the beginning, there was an idea to continue the voyages of the Enterprise. Her 5 year mission was cut short by an evil alien race called "The Network Suits". While they initially succeeded in keeping her from exploration, another wise and kind race called "The Fans", liberated her. The Enterprise lives and Star Trek Continues! Raise your hand if you are from Planet Fandom.

Yep. I saw that.

That's swell!

But was it really necessary to quote my entire post (including the image), in the post immediately following it?

Considering it's not large what's the big deal?

Not a big deal. I asked a simple question. Clearly you don't think it unnecessary or repetitive. That's fine.

It sounded like a criticism. I just quoted what was really essentially a short post not needing to be edited. If your post had been more lengthy and/or the image larger then I likely would have edited it for brevity.

Actually, that image IS pretty big vertically. It's more than half the height of my 30" Apple Cinema Display.

Re: Star Trek Continues: Episode 4 and beyond?

Well, perhaps now is the time to point out that not everyone views the board under the same conditions or parameters as you or I do.

Regardless, the point is it struck me as redundant and thus unnecessary to quote it wholesale in the post immediately following mine, hence my question.

The seven posts discussing the matter take up more space than the image does.

Re: Star Trek Continues: Episode 4 and beyond?

Sorry you guys are so put upon.

Lucky for us, Continues just posted this video on their Facebook page. The first of three "before and after" scenes from "Fairest of Them All," showcasing the original raw footage and cut of a scene vs. the final cut of the scene:
