Dinosaur found in my home town!!

Sorry for the article in German, the gist is:

An 11 year old found a Ichthyosaurus about 100m off from a where the local natural history museum was digging for fossils.

This is the 4th dino found in this area.


The bone structure is 35% complete.

No. The name literally means fish lizard. It was not too dissimilar to dolphins from what I can see. Even gave birth to live offspring, so it sounds like it is closer related to mammals than birds.

Ah OK. I was remembering a story about a pristine Archaeopteryx fossil that had been found.
