This seems so totally in the wrong thread...but the film and album were released in 1970....

The Brothers Johnson:

and a personal favorite-hard to believe they hated each other, there's so much chemistry:

and after 5 pages, how come this didn't get mentioned?

and 2 of my favorite ladies:

I suck at these embed things. Sorry, I'm a backwards child of the 70s.

^[/yt] and [yt] (in reverse order) are your friends....

The location is no state secret in these parts, but for 13 years I lived on the same block as Carole King's family's summer house. In fact, the street I lived on was named after her--not because she was a celebrity, but because all of the streets in the community were named after the children of community founders (e.g., Carol Street, her birth name being Carol Klein).

With the age of the hippie behind, so began the age of the freak, covering a multitude of genres

Kiss... Dressed to Kill

The genesis of... well... Genesis

The Free your mind & your ass will follow of Funkadelic

The Ziggy Stardustery of Bowie

It was truly of a time of boundlessness. Shit was all over the place, & folks had no qualms about letting their freak flag fly

Good question. I was thinking I had posted it. But I had only posted their version of "Billy Don't be a Hero."

Another incredibly horrible "classic" from the 70s. The comments indicate that "Glee" actually did a cover of this:
