I really enjoyed it, great to see Jack back and the rest of a few years and change of location has benefitted the show really well. I think also the shortened series will help, in that there will be a lot less filler and less of the silly sub-plots they used to come out with to pad it out.

I am liking it so far. I enjoy how they are allowing us to see things from the other side now. What I mean by that is, we are seeing roles reversed. How we have the young agent Kate who is very reminiscent of Bauer in his early days. Willing to go rogue to do what needs to be done. Except this time Bauer is the "bad guy" in the situation. And then comments like when Jack was saving Chloe and he asked, "Did you do this to her?" and the guy said, "It's nothing you haven't done."

They are definitely making a point about the gray area, and for me, at least, it makes me think back on the bad guys that Jack fought and how they, too, probably thought they were just doing what needed to be done.

Aaah, nostalgia! It is so magical to see new Twenty Four again!!!

I was a huge fan of the show, even in the later years. There was just nothing like it on television. Sure it got way too repetitive year after year, which is why it's return after four years of a break is just perfect!

I also love that it's filmed in England. My only complaint? Too many American characters! More British accents, please!

As someone who's seen an episode here and there and (for whatever reason) just couldn't get into the show, I really enjoyed these first two episodes.

Kind of funny to see CTU as mostly competent even if they are on the wrong side of Jack.

This one had two scream at the television moments: When they won't even consider holding Yates when apprehending Jack and that military guy on the phone with drone pilot guy.

"Sir, your in danger, you need to move, a missile is targeting you!"
"What? Huh?"
"Sir just move! Please, something is wrong, you need to move."
"What? Why are you calling? What?"
"For Christsakes sir, move!"
"This is, wait, what?"

Eh.... That's giving them a LOT of credit. I mean that took a known powerhouse of skill and ass-kicking and tried transporting him with the help of one or two Inept Guards. They ignored the pleas of an employee who felt she had something valuable to add to the situation, man I'm surprised Jack wasn't able to get into CTU's computers by using his old access key which CTU hasn't gotten around to blocking-out yet.

Seems like it's business as usual at CTU. How they've survived (as well as America and the rest of the world) all of this time without Jack is a miracle.

Yes, I would assume CTU no longer exists, maybe we will find out.

Don't forget the rationale they came up with for pinning it all on the drone pilot.

"Major Shepard revoked your weekend pass, so you decided to kill him with your drone. Makes perfect sense and we won't consider any other possibilities."

They'll change things up this season by making everyone the mole and Heller is the mastermind behind his own attack.

^ "Wait a minute. YOU'RE the mole? I thought I was the mole!"
"Is there anybody in here who ISN'T a mole?!?!?"
"Who the hell are we all working for, anyway?"

(everybody shrugs)

I'd pay good money to see that.
