Story

Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, the boxer whose wrongful murder conviction became an international symbol of racial injustice, has died at 76. After a battle with prostate cancer in Toronto.

I was not a boxing fan, but my dad was, so I probably saw some of Carter's '60s era fights. I remember the news about him being arrested later, and the film that was about him, but he was on the low end of my radar.
