Jan entry- Klaus

Didn't have time for as elaborate an idea as I'd hoped, but here's an entry.

It says "Spacefleet" as "star" looks like "crap" lol...

I think a Russian speaker might pronounce that as "Spatzyeflayot" rather than "spacefleet" but I get it.

A valiant effort!

Looks good Klaus! I like "spacefleet" better anyway as it's appropriately different. Has the right balance of "the same, but different" if you know what I mean.

Without understanding the finer points of Russian linguistics, this is how "star" tranlates: "звезда". I don't know if it's that way because it's not followed by the Russian equivalent of "trek" or what (which also is spelled differently if translated by itself). Anyone able to explain?

Re: Jan entry- Klaus

They call Star Trek "Звёздный путь" (Zvyozdny Put') in Russian, the "star" part being in the language's equivalent of genitive case, hence the different form. The linguistics of slavic languages can be somewhat complex on such occasions...
