I guess I'll watch The Blue Bird again.

One could with that others would pursue grace and accomplishment rather than notoriety. A great lady has passed.

Her Depression-era influence extended well into my childhood in the '70s as I watched her old movies on TV with my siblings. She was also excellent as a young adult in one of my all-time favorite movies, Fort Apache. She stayed out of the public eye for so long I wasn't really sure how old she was, I was a bit surprised she was "only" 85, but that's what happens when you start so early, I guess. Thanks for the memories and RIP.

She was a great lady who lived a long and full life, including serving her country as an ambassador. May she rest in peace.

My grandmother loved Shirley Temple, I always think of my grandma when they show that commercial for Shirley Temple DVDs. Ah, farewell...
