Are the special edition DVDs what you get in the Revisitations box set

I was wondering whether to pick up the special editions individually or to get the Revisitation box sets, since they work out at around the same price. Are they one and the same thing in terms of features and video quality?

My understanding is yes, they are. At least the Special Editions released in the US are the same as the UK's Revisitation sets. Presumably the same is true of the Special Editions released in the UK.

Re: Are the special edition DVDs what you get in the Revisitations box

The following is relevant for R2 and R4. The titles in the Revisitation boxes are all Special Editions, and are not available individually*. But not all Special Editions are in the Revisitation boxes. Spearhead From Space SE is in the Mannequin Mania box; the rest are all available individually.

*The Movie was released individually in R4 because we never got the original version.
