Philip Seymour Hoffman found dead

Philip Seymour Hoffman has been found dead in his apartment. A real shame, he was one of my favourite actors and had a great range. I particularly liked him in Doubt.

Yeah but he leaves behind a really good body of work - we will still see him for a couple more years on the screen as he had a few things that were in post production.

Oh no.

I think I liked him best in Almost Famous but he was very good in all the roles I've seen him play. He wasn't that old, was he?

There was a hoax about him being dead on Friday, but it appears this is true.

According to the NY Post, it was due to a drug overdose.

Pretty much this.

I loved him as an actor, and he seemed quite personable in the interviews I'd seen.

His poor kids...

Terrible news. He's been struggling with heroin addiction for some time and went through rehab last year. May he rest in peace.

Shit. This is so sad on every level. Such a colossal acting talent. The guy could turn junk into art simply with a few minutes of his screen presence.

Dammit. He was easily one of the best actors of this generation, and just a pretty cool guy all around.

Rest in peace, Phillip.
