Re: Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit

I rewatched Sum of All Fears... it's a real shame how much they changed from the book and how shortened it all is (the book was massive)... but I gotta admit the second half of the movie once the bomb goes off is really edge of your seat. I especially love how the President and his staff are just completely freaking out and not in the right head... like Arvin Sloane screaming at his chair because he can't get it tilt back.

Still, swapping out the Middle Eastern terrorists for Neo-Nazis was just dumb...

All the books are massive after The Hunt For Red October, I guess he brought in so much money that Tom Clancy became uneditable. 75 pages on a log floating in the Pacific Ocean was not excusable.

A Russian Chinese war could have been an outcome of Shadow Recruit, but a secret war between US and Japan with India. Army Rangers in Tokyo and the Japanese secretly taking Guam
