Star Trek: Voyager: Acts of Contrition by Kirsten Beyer

Spotted the blurb this afternoon while perusing Amazon:

Admiral Kathryn Janeway has now taken command of the Full Circle Fleet. Her first mission: return to the Delta Quadrant and open diplomatic relations with the Confederacy of the Worlds of the First Quadrant, a civilization whose power equals that of the Federation. While awaiting the admiral's arrival, Captain Chakotay knows that he has made certain decisions that could derail the potential alliance. While grateful to the Confederacy Interstellar Fleet for rescuing the Federation starships from an alien armada, the Voyager captain cannot forget the horrors upon which the Confederacy was founded. More troubling, it appears that several of Voyager's old adversaries have formed a separate and unlikely pact that is determined to bring down the Confederacy at all costs. Sins of the past haunt the crew members of the Full Circle Fleet as they attempt to chart a course for the future. Will they learn much too late that some sins can never be forgiven ...or forgotten?
Excited for this one! Bring on more Beyer Voyager!

Ahhh... the Delta Quadrant version of the Typhon Pact with personal vendettas against Voyager.

Excellent. I've been waiting for the Full Circle fleet to get back into familiar areas of the Delta Quadrant, seeing the various species we saw during the series' run, and the little tidbit we got in Protectors left me wanting to see more of this banding of various Delta Quadrant races.

Hopefully not, tho I do admit am a little nervous in anticipating this book; still, am glad this particular Voyager novel is coming out somewhat sooner, this year, rather than later, lol.

I hope this novel will continue the reversal of the TV series' idea of "Voyager travels in a straight line home for 7 years and everything important in a Quadrant was in a line!"

Re: Star Trek: Voyager: Acts of Contrition by Kirsten Beyer

I don't think Voyager was ever equipped for saucer separation. It seems like something reserved for ships with an average crew of over five hundred or so, like the Galaxy class and Sovereign class (and possibly the Excelsior class, I remember the Generations novelization having Sulu running a separation drill when he's contacted about Kirk's death), while Voyager averaged around 150, probably not much more than 200 with a full compliment.
