McCoy: I'm afraid it's serious, Jim.

Kirk: What happened?

Chekov: I merely said that Scotch was a Russian invention.

SPOCK: The spider... it's dead, right? You killed it?

UHURA (rolls eyes): Yes, it's dead.

SPOCK: You know Lieutenant, it would be more logical to ask for a pay raise than having a second job as beautician for electronical devices.

Not a caption, just an observation.

Assuming Uhura's accessing the components through one of the two grilles positioned beneath her station, the bridge crew are no doubt being blessed with a glorious view of her hinder!

Sincerely,

Bill

Spock: Lieutenant, may I ask what you are doing?

Uhura: Just practicing. Anyone I catch staring at my backside gets one of these to the eyeball.

(long pause)

Spock: Carry on, Lieutenant.

Spock: Speed is essential, Lieutenant.

Uhura: If it isn't done just right, I could blow the entire communications system.

(pause)

Spock: Did you remember to disconnect the power to your station before you began?

Console Spock is watching you solder.

I know it's heavy, Lieutenant, but since Starfleet started implementing these oversized PADDS, fatalities from puma attacks have decreased significantly.

Re: TOS Caption Contest #281: Who Captions for Adonais?

Uhura: There's a problem with the comm system.

Spock: The comm system? What is it?

Uhura: It's the console that lets us talk to other starships. But that's not important right now.

Spock: Mr. Kyle, please explain when our navigation system will be back on line.

Kyle: I can't tell, sir.

Spock: You can tell me, I'm the first officer.

Kyle: No, I mean I'm just not sure.

Spock: Can't you take a guess?

Kyle: Hmm...Well, not for another two hours.

Spock: You can't take a guess for another two hours?
