Here are two links for some work that I had been doing on Pinnacle, with the corridors and engineering room from TOS:

Let me know what you think.

The images of the engine room are of a minature built by Thomas Sasser a decade ago.

Pictures on Sasser's webpage (link).

There's even video of a kitten walking around the finished (damaged) model. (link)

Yes, Thomas did a FANTASTIC job on that model, which was really HUGE, judging from the scale of that cat!

I was amazed at the quality of his work, all his work, he is a great model maker, and has a prominent place on many model boards.

So the cat broke into the model and had his buddy videotape him while he trashed the place? HMMMMMM.

It would have been fun if he'd used a black cat, especially since the video is called "Sylvia".

To put it simply, I love it.

Beautiful work done! I wonder if the model still exists?

Yes, I believe that it does. Thomas would not put all that work into something and just throw it in the trash. He's something of a legend in the model building community, and has built up a very impressive collection of his work. I just wish he would have built more sets, like some corridors and transporter room, in the same scale.

I never even made the "Sylvia" connection before.

That engine room model was originally built for the fanfilm "The Tressaurian Intersection" but was ultimately not used. A much more blown apart engine room model, corridors, etc. were built later by Minnefex Inc. and are what appears in the episode.
