OK, we've filled the Paula Abdul quota for the decade. Next!

^ Fun fact: Madonna herself gave Weird Al Yankovic the idea to parody that song.

In 1986 I was transitioning from LP records to compact discs; this is from the first CD I bought on the day of its release:

The movie Better off Dead had a decent sound track, and I always liked this song from Howard Jones, Like To Get To Know You Well

Heck yea . I heard of that one on another forum I'm on.

As for some of my faves...

Anything from Heart, Michael Jackson (most of it), ZZ Top, Van Halen, Toto, The Bee Gees and much more generally get me up and dancing.

Re: 80's music

Just went through the entire thread, it's like scrolling through my iTunes. A couple of my favorites that haven't been mentioned yet.

I'm a huge fan of Big Pig, this is their lone hit. However I prefer Devil Song or Big Hotel

Who can forget the Proclaimers, THE song from Benny & Joon.

Bow Wow Wow and I Want Candy. How could you resist a girl with half shaven head.
