Image Comics - Shattered Image

Okay, now I realize that when Image Comics was first formed, all (or most) of the characters published were intended to live in one shared universe, much like DC and Marvel heroes. With the break-up of Image, the various characters (and their creators) went their separate ways, and I'm aware that this was reflected somewhat in the Shattered Image miniseries. But in terms of all the characters, what retroactive changes were made to their past histories in the wake of the splintering from one reality to several?
