Chase Masterson as Vienna

I would just like to say, I heartily wish the lovely Ms Masterson, AKA Deep Space Nine's Leeta, the very best in her role of Vienna in the eponymous spin-off series from Big Finish's Doctor Who audio range. May her future in DW fandom be prosperous.

Not being familiar with the character, for some reason my mind jumped directly to her actually playing a humanoid incarnation of the City.

Both are beautiful, so good choice IMO.

I can imagine Leeta/Chase being what they were going for with Peri, except Nicola's Accent was off (we won't discuss the Objectifying, since you can't really focus on "Assets" in an Audio). From Interviews and her role as Leeta, she's got a sweet, sincere voice, I think she could be great on audio.

Re: Chase Masterson as Vienna

She was a minor character from a story back in November 2012, then a solo story came out this February (seems like years ago) and I have no idea what the hell is going on with her accent.

And a box set of three new adventures comes out next February.

She plays an alien super assassin, who probably dabbles in number of other adjacent fields.

Seriously?

This is not how you roll out a new product capitalizing on earlier success and buzz.
