Vikings--Bates Motel second seasons....

Will premiere Thursday, February 27 on History and Monday, March 3 on A&E respectively.

I eagerly anticipate both. The character arc for Athelstan the beleaguered former monk in season two looks incredible, and mamma Norma is as entertainingly crazy as ever.

I find it hard to believe that any man would cheat on Lagertha. One, because she's insanely gorgeous, and two, because she can kill six men in a fair fight.

It shows Ragnar's high opinion of himself.

The first season of the Vikings was a very pleasant surprise and I loved every single second of it. The second will be even better.

Glad the Vikings is so popular because my girlfriends cousin is a stuntman in it.

He must have been pretty busy with that battle scene beginning the episode. Yowza.

Aslaug is not as pretty as Lagertha, no doubt.

So what's with Aslaug? Is she crazy, pretentious, or what?

This is assuming the writers aren't taking the myth at face value:

They've been sticking pretty closely to Ragnar's story. It's not their fault he wanted some strange.

But they're also being fairly naturalistic. I don't get the impression that we're supposed to take her background at her word. I'm wondering if she's even really a princess. (Did they verify that last season?)

Well, let's see how Ivar the Boneless works out. Great first episode, Rollo looks to be on a hell of a ride this season.

Ivar won't earn his epithet until after his early dating experiences.
