Just before the ''Will Fit, Will Fit!!!'' moment....

..........did anyone happen to hear sound effects for X-Wing and Tie-fighters? It seemed that way on the standard DVD.

I seem to recall someone making the same observation back when the trailer containing bits from that scene was first released.

Re: Just before the ''Will Fit, Will Fit!!!'' moment....

I figured it'd be an old issue. It's not something I picked up on until I finally watched the entire DVD yesterday. It didn't register when I first saw the film in a theater. Nor did Sulu's comment on ''the Mudd incident,'' for that matter.

Of course, when STID came out, Abrams hadn't yet accepted STAR WARS VII yet, had he?

R2-D2 aboard the Enterprise and the K'normian ship equipped with X-wing engines can mean only one thing!

A delegation from a galaxy far far away is awaiting for the Enterprise in deep space. Imperial battlecruiser Darkness Eagle carries Luke's granddaughter Captain Katreen Jenwea Skywalker, her XO Darth Lirious, helmsman Five of Seven, and the empress herself.

You've been all duped by J.J. He's making one Star* film for 2015/2016, not two. And yes, Hoshi Sato is coming back.

Any chance he can work in David Hasselhoff?

As a Twi'Lek? Nice!

Also, shouldn't it be "We'll fit?"

You can't take the line out of context.
SPOCK: If you are suggesting we utilize the passage between the approaching structures, this ship will not fit.
KIRK: Will fit.
SPOCK: Captain, we will not fit.
KIRK: Will fit! Will fit!

That's how I've always interpreted it, but I suppose either works.

I still think it is "Will [Riker] fit"

Kirk jealous of the piloting skills of men not born yet? Who would have thought.

April Fools? April Fools my flaming voodoo cannonballs, SW7ST is not only canon, it's better than half the prequels and half the TNG films, and all that other stuff after they decided to turn B4-D2 into a portable garbage dispenser. And that's not even when April Fools is in my galaxy.

If it's Will Riker fit, then either everyone would fit (big space), or nope - they ain't gonna fit, 'cause that guy sure liked his ice cream.
