The Paternosta Gang...

...will be back next year. At least it looks that way going on this story.

The competition, which will be launched on the Doctor Who: Blue Peter Special on Thursday 21 November, will invite viewers aged between six and 15 to design a new sonic device for either Sontaran Commander Strax, Madame Vastra or Jenny Flint. The winning gadgets will feature in the show next year.

Not exactly conclusive I know, but fingers crossed Strax and go will be back

There was an interview recently with Neve McIntosh where she stated that the Paternoster Gang would appear with Capaldi's Doctor. Ah, here it is.

They have a name for their trio? I didn't realize that! They're the Lone Gunmen of the Whoniverse!

Well, to be fair, the only time that name is mentioned in dialogue is in one of the minisode prequels to The Snowmen.

It's actually Paternoster, Vastra's house being situated on the late Paternoster Row.

Oh, I didn't realize it was bombed out of existence in WWII. I work on late Victorian fiction, and I see Paternoster on a lot of title pages.
