Re: A polled thread about thread polls.

I could list the episode they were in next to their names. That should help.

Re: A polled thread about thread polls.

I'd like to thank everyone who helped again for the suggestions.

Question Closed:

Poll question:
Who was your favorite engineer?

Answers so far:
Zefram Cochrane (Star Trek: First Contact and TOS)
Lily Sloane (Star Trek: First Contact)
Charles Tucker III (ENT)
Kelby (ENT: "Affliction", "Divergence", "Bound")
Montgomery Scott (TOS)
Montgomery Scott (NuTrek)
Miles O'Brien (TNG and DS9)
Geordi La Forge (TNG)
Reginald Barclay (TNG and VOY)
Sonya Gomez (TNG: "Q Who", "Samaritan Snare")
Sarah MacDougal (TNG: "The Naked Now", "Galaxy's Child")
Argyle (TNG: "Where No One Has Gone Before", "Datalore", "Galaxy's Child")
Nog (DS9)
Joe Carey (Voy)
B'Elanna Torres (Voy)
Vorik (Voy)
I took Logan (TNG: "The Arsenal of Freedom") out because he was more of an antagonist, I took Leah Brahms out because she was more of a scientist then an engineer, and contemplating adding Olson (NuTrek), he was just a redshirt. Besides mentioned, am I missing anyone?

Re: A polled thread about thread polls.

Taking entries for "Which planet(s) would you like to visit most?". I can't decide between single vote or three votes, but I want a definite pattern instead of a multiple choice poll.

I thought I saw a poll like this when I first joined but didn't see it in my search in GTD. I don't think it would be anywhere else so I'm taking it.

Re: A polled thread about thread polls.

Well, judging from past threads in General Discussion, you might think about avoiding "pleasure" planets, since the same names always show up. Risa usually wins on those. They'll probably draw a high number of votes to the exclusion of more geologically or historically interesting places.

Re: A polled thread about thread polls.

I think making it non-pleasure planets is a good idea, especially as there was already a specifically pleasure planet poll.

Planet polls have been done (at least a variation of it), I'm going to hold off posting another one. Thanks anyway for the quick reply.

Re: A polled thread about thread polls.

I had to slow down on the poll making (a Modder's suggestion) and I think my polls are spread out enough to add another;

Poll question:
Who do you think was the best top secret organization?

Answers so far:
The Federation's Section 31
The Romulan's Tal Shiar
The Cardassian's Obsidian Order
The Vulcan's V'Shar
Klingon Intelligence
Bajoran Intelligence
I don't think there's more but open to advise.

What's the organization Gary Seven belonged to -- the Aegis?

^Are you talking about Isis, his cat/sexy boss thing.

Edit: The only thing Google brings up about Aegis was referenced to a book.

Was there any secret organizations in TOS I missed?

Re: A polled thread about thread polls.

I had another idea but worry that it may be insulting to some.
Poll question:
What kind of Trekkie are you?

Answers so far:
A) I'm a Star Trek Nerd - "I've read the manuals, I know how it works."
B) I'm a Star Trek Geek - "I've seen all the episodes (of that series), do you remember when..."
C) I'm a Star Trek Dork - "I collect figures, outfits, trinkets, you name it, I got it."
A and B
A and C
B and C
All of the above
