Day of the Doctor certification and three different runtimes

Well, it looks like the BBC are about to fuck us with double-dipped alternate versions of the 50th, and especially the TV viewers. There are three different versions! a 76, 80, and 85 minute cut - the latter for the cinema screenings, the other two for home viewing (presumably 80 for Blu-Ray and 76 for us DVD-watching luddites...)

http://bbfc.co.uk/releases/doctor-who-day-doctor-2013 - click on the arrow next to "related items - feature" to see all four versions.

The 85 minute cut has 10 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage, as I understand it.

If that's all, then fine, but what of the 80-minute cut, I wonder?

That's a good question. Perhaps it's a four-minute "Previously on Doctor Who..." intro.

Re: Day of the Doctor certification and three different runtimes

Here's more information on the theatrical cut, from BBC America's press release:

In addition to Matt Smith, the 50th Anniversary special also stars former Time Lord David Tennant and Jenna Coleman with Billie Piper and John Hurt. The theatrical events will include specially shot introductions and The Day of The Doctor: Behind The Lens, a 10 minute behind-the-scene featurette directly following the special. The short features Matt Smith, David Tennant and Jenna Coleman with Billie Piper and John Hurt, as well as lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat, discussing their 50th Anniversary experiences.

So... the BD won't feature related special features? I don't get this.

It could still do, but any special features would be classified seperate to the main feature on a Disc

As long as the version on TV isn't any shorter than the one in cinema or disc, I'm happy
