Allright, thanks for all the recommendations. I'll start my runthrough on the 1st of november, will probably do a review thread about it.

Hmmm... Let's see:

Tomb of the Cybermen
The two recovered stories, The Enemy of the World and Web of Fear
War Games (it's long but fun)
Spearheads From Space
Terror of the Autons
The Three Doctors (I'm not crazy about it but most like it)
Carnival of Monsters
The Ark in Space
Genesis of the Daleks
Pyramids of Mars
The Deadly Assassin
The Talons of Weng Chiang
City of Death
Logopolis
Castrovolva
Kinda
Earthshock
Snakedance
Frontios
Resurrection of the Daleks
Caves of Androzani
Revelation of the Daleks
Remembrance of the Daleks
The Greatest Show in the Galaxy
Survival

That should keep you busy.

Re: Recommend me a classic runthrough please

Just watched Dalek Invasion of Earth!

It had some fairly pointless bits (Dalek pet attacking Ian, Crocodile attacking Susan, everyone hurting their ankles, etc), and of course the pacing is totally off my today's standards (my gf asked: 'This is before they invented interesting television, right?'), but the story itself was very good, I could easily see it condensed into a Tennant-style double episode with running around London and and the mines. Also, the Robomen are fairly silly, I hope the Daleks come up with better stuff in their later stories. I was surprised to see that Susan's departure was fairly well prepared for, it totally didn't feel like 'oh allright, I'll leave you for no apparent reason'. And of course I was totally NOT surprised to get top notch acting from both the Doctor and Ian. All the classic series companions will have a lot of manning (or girling) up to do if they want to measure up to Ian.

Next up, the Romans.

just finished watching the Romans. Well that was silly. Almost slapstick. But the pacing was much better, and I'm surprised to like Vicki, even more so than Susan.

next up The Chase.

Re: Recommend me a classic runthrough please

Some of those early Hartnell episodes you might have a hard time with. The pacing is... different. The Chase is definitely not a highlight either so don't let that color you too much.

Re: Recommend me a classic runthrough please

Watched the first ep of Chase, then promptly skipped the serial. The pacing was horrible, half of the setup was utterly pointless, the whole logic of chase through time was badly set up, and while it was fun to see the Beatles play, I think the entire sequence with the time tv was overlong and padding.

Proceeded to watch the first ep of Time Meddler. Visible improvement. Ready to see more of Steven, the watch and the gramaphone were nice touch. The Doctor is behaving more Doctor-like with every passing episode. When he told Steven how not to bother him, it felt like the Ninth Doctor I know so well.

Yea. not yet. It just came out in the UK (Region 2) this month, maybe very recently (I think) on DVD and isn't even due out in the US (Region 1) until middle of Nov, I think.

The Reconstruction I've seen is so good and the pictures change so often, it's very easy to get lost in it and forget it's a Reconstruction. Not sure what the quality of the Dailymotion one is, The Regeneration itself, though, I believe is intact.
