How would have you dealt with this situation.

If you were traveling in the subway/underground and you encountered the two following incidents, what would you do if you were in the same train car?

First train incident video

Second train incident video

Clearly I'd have videoed both incidents so I could upload them to youtube later...

Is it just me or does the first one look a little staged?

Let say your phone has run out of power and therefore you cannot catch the action on camera.

As for the first video, From what i read about the lady in question, she was holding the train open while waiting for her friend to catch the train. The folks in the train were asking her ,in french, to let the train door close, so that the train can move on.

In both cases I would quickly get back on the train and kick the other passengers heads in. If I didn't make it in time, i'd try to smash the window as it left.

I am talking about you, from the other passengers point of view, dealing with those two ladies in question.

What a mistaka to maka!

In the first case I'd offer to hold the door while she helped her friend, and then let it shut as soon as she got off.

In the second case I'd stand idly by chuckling to myself.

Well being at work I was only able to watch not listen, but I think I got the gist of both. I just query why someone would have filmed the first incident. the second makes perfect sense, and I think such things are filmed all the time. with regard to both incidents we're looking at assault, clearly both women were annoying but I'm not sure that's much of a defence in a court of law.

Re: How would have you dealt with this situation.

I posted the two video on the forum because i am curious on how would we men deal with members of the opposite gender that have behavioral problems. It is far easier for men to deal with other miss-behaving men but it comes to miss behaving and problematic females, what would be the right male response be?

BTW, Any female member of the forum could tell me how would females passengers would have handled this incident with these two ladies in question.

Re: How would have you dealt with this situation.

I already told you. I would have switched carriages. I travel trains all the time, none of this is my problem. I let the bossy folk deal with it, or not deal with it.

I will help anyone genuinely hurt or lost or needing assistance, and if there was violence I would switch carriages and press the emergency button and report it. But otherwise, this is other people's problem because I do not care.

The lady the door thing, pfft.. don't push her, the train driver will get shitty real quick and some guard will come along and tell her to knock it off.

Re: How would have you dealt with this situation.

Well.. violence is rarely a solution but sometimes feels so good

In the first case it was a bit too much.. approach her and ask her directly to either get in or out and make it clear she's holding up the entire business.

If she refuses one could gently push her out and not dropkick her in the back and risk injury (it would still be technically assault but some can't learn otherwise).

The second case is different.. we don't know exactly what happened that pissed her so off but that's no excuse to get violent.
If the opportunity presents itself it shouldn't be too difficult to put her in an armlock and escort her outside once the train stops.. the methods in the video were a bit ruder but equally effective.

Do you think gender should affect how you would deal with the situation? Is there some way you would behave towards a man that you would not towards a woman?

Nuke the train from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Yes i do treat both genders a little differently. Let me give you an example of a recent experience that i had.

About two weeks ago, i had a parking space dispute with another guy. The other guy was an asian fellow and i was far bigger than him. He shouted at me about the parking space and i shouted back at him. I went up close to him and we had a vigorous discussion. He kinda backed down after seeing that i was far bigger than him and if it came down to a fight over the parking space, he would not have lasted long.

I took that stance because he was the one who shouted at me first and i decided not to back down. If he had not shouted at me, i would not have felt the need to intimidate him.
In the end, it ended non violently.

If that driver had been a female, i would have been much nicer even if she had shouted at me.
