Should a New Star Trek Show be distributed through an online service?

Should a New Star Trek Show be distributed through an online service, like Netflix, rather then a conventional TV channel?

Marvel is making 4 new shows for Netflix, so this idea is not so far fetched.

I'd never watch it.

A new series should be distributed through whatever medium lets them create the best series possible. It's looking more and more like that medium may be an online subscription. But I'd track down the show if it was on broadcast, cable, premium cable, or online.

As long as it also becomes available on DVD, I don't care how else they release it.

You do know that at some point, they're going to quit making DVD's?

Yeah, but with any luck at all, I'll be dead by then.

Or at least too old to recognize pudding.
