Not Gonna Happen. They'll probably mention that he is recovering and on nicotine patches or something like that... yeah, I know.

Can we at least get the bisexuality, if we can't get the cigarettes?

It's network TV. I would expect some restrictions but IIRC, Goyer has said that they're trying to get the smoking in.

It's been a long time since I read Hellblazer. When did the bisexuality thing come about?

"He was young. It was the seventies..."

Seriously though, I have heard this before but don't remember ever seeing it in the comics.

As for the smoking, it would be fine if he were trying to quit or something but I wouldn't consider this to be a deal breaker, especially if they get the personality down.

Found an interesting thread on the bisexuality here: http://www.bleedingcool.com/forums/c...d-strewth.html. While there's a couple of hints it's not like it's an aspect that doesn't seem to have been explored in any depth. DC answers the question rather diplomatically(evasively?), I'm not sure they are happy with articles with titles like "NBC greenlights TV show for bisexual DC comic character".

Hopefully this washes out the bitter taste of the Constantine movie...

NBC has schedule Constantine to premiere in the fall. It will air on Fridays at 10pm after Grimm. You can see the trailer here.

Here's a direct link to the version of the trailer on the show's Facebook page that's playable internationally.

Re: A Constantine Series Is in Development

I never saw the film or read the comic, but I thought the trailer was pretty impressive and I'm rather surprised that this is on NBC.

I noticed Jeremy Davies in the trailer. Is he a series regular or just a one-off guest star?
