On a different subject, does anyone here positively know if Chloe Bennett is biracial? Not that there's anything wrong with it, I'm just curious.
Yes, her birth name is Chloe Wang. According to Wikipedia, her father is Chinese and her mother Jewish-American (their words). She moved to Beijing at 15 and had a career as a pop star under the name Wāng Kěyng.

I used to know a Vietnamese guy in elementary/junior high whose given name was Kahn.

It was the early '80s, you can guess how that went down....

Wow, that's much lower-rung than the ones we've gotten so far...the first who's not connected to an Avenger or the Avengers in the comics (not counting Deathlok).

It looks like it's not the same character, just the re-use of the name. But I wonder how many of us remember the original run of Nova from the 70s.

I do!

Guy?

For what it's worth, Blackout played a major part in Roger Stern's epic Avengers "Under Siege" arc as a member of Baron Zemo's Masters of Evil.

I didn't think it was worth collecting until the New Warriors kicked off in 90, but I have a couple issues filed away.

Wow. A complete set that I have that you don't?

ETA: In a lame, but typical move for the times, Nova was canceled mid-story and the story concluded in another book-- in this case, The Fantastic Four.

In my defence, I was busy being born in 1976, and it looked shit.

Issue 10 of the new series, accounted to be #100 of the serieses combined.

Which can be a very good thing. Anyone remember who Mr Freeze was before the BTAS writers got a hold of him? They took a total Z-lister and put him right up there with Joker and Two Face.

(Turtle, I know it's not the same, but I just finished "acquiring" The Man Called Nova 001 -025... But I still doubt I'll read it.)

And does the MCU really want to open the Pandora's Box that is the Darkforce?

@Guy-- I still own them, but I haven't read them in 30 years. I enjoyed them 30 years ago...
