But I have a sneaky suspicion that the next episode will be all about Pi, or that he will play some pivotal role in solving Kate's case.
The only way I can see an episode being all about Pi is if he's half of a Hall and Oates tribute band; 'Hall' is murdered and he's the prime suspect.

She liked Pi because he was 3.14 times cuter than her previous boyfriend.

Re: Castle - Season 6 Discussion & Spoilers

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode, particularly the way Esposito and Ryan were picking on Beckett for a change:

"Where's Castle?"
"He's having dinner with is other ex-wife. Something about not wanting her to feel left out."

As for Alexis.... I wasn't a bit surprised she didn't call her Dad right away. The past few episodes in which she's appeared it's been all about her growing up and being smart enough, capable enough, etc to do things o her own with her dad's permission or approval.

And then there's this nice little gem

Win. Aside from the #Caskett thing. Yuck . I'm a Castle/Beckett fan/shipper. Not a Caskett fan. -_- It sounds like we're something that gets put underground .

Still have a lot of catching up to do. Been busy with rl lately, so I've missed out on some episodes.

That picture looks so adorable and cute.. Fillion and Katic would be a good match in real life.

Now that we are 1.5 seasons further after the big bang of the season 4 finale what do you all think about the general direction of the show and the previous sexual tension between the leads wich was one of the cornerstones of the show from season 1-4?

Personally i loved the first part of the 5th season with all the sneaking around, discovering the new sides of each other and exploring the new relationship after they've been friends for so long and secretly pining for each other.

Later on it just became a sort of background hum.. some episodes it was relegated to the opening and closing scenes of the episode and it wasn't very exciting.

I feel that the spark was gone a bit and they were like any other couple going through life and the same problems (a bit blown up in perspective by Kate's closed off personalit and her constant fear of something going wrong).

Season 6 was better in that regard because it showed us how they changed each other.. i especially noted this in this episode where Kate all but jumped on Castle which is huge when you compare it to season 1-4 Kate who was mostly very reserved (but then she may always been like that in relationships and when she has privacy, we just didn't get to see that part). I was happy they didn't drag out the proposal thing needlessly through the whole season like other shows would.

One thing i was missing though is the final resolution to the Beckett's mom murder case which we haven't heard about since season 5.
We had other stuff though such as the brilliant return of 3XK a few episodes back (even better because he doesn't show up at all) which i rank as one of the best episodes of Castle and the introduction of Castle's father (still think it's lame to make him a superspy).

However i really don't see the show going any much than season 7, there simply is not that much material anymore. Solve the mom murder case, get 3XK for good (have Castle shoot him point blank with real bullets while defending Kate and/or Alexis and have Lanie confirm he's dead) and have them marry each other (and maybe hint that Kate's pregnant).

Roll credits and thank you for 7 years!

Re: Castle - Season 6 Discussion & Spoilers

I've now tried watching this last episode twice and fell asleep both times. It doesn't help that I don't care about the fashion industry at all.

It was a pretty standard corporate politics episode but there was some nice development/misdirection as to what was going on in Kate's mind. That was a particularly nice scene at the end.

Yeah, I was afraid it was going be that she was having second thoughts. We've had quite enough of that, thank you!

I wasn't crazy about it either although my wife seemed to like it. I don't think she would have ever worn something like that though.

My girlfriend thought it was horrible, too. It looked like a Disney Princess knockoff that a five-year-old girl would think was beautiful, not a NY homicide cop. All that was missing was a tiara.

I didn't find the dress either particularly good or particularly bad. But I'm not a good judge of such things.

All I could think of when I saw that dress is that it's almost inevitable that she'll have to chase somebody in it and destroy it. Too predictable, but funny.

Speaking of 3XK, does anyone else also think that he's the guy they actually caught this year, with a different face as per the whole plastic surgery storyline?

Me either. That's why I asked my girlfriend for a second opinion.

"Hideous" was her word.
