I don't even like T'Pol and I find that scene creepy and uncomfortable.

Well moving Enterprise from the prime universe to the JJverse would eliminate a lot of continuity errors in both.
I have often thought that, as it would make sense. NuTrek is the only one that makes any reference to Archer or the NX-01.

The series could be in the alternate reality where Romulus was destroyed and Spock vanished which then created the alternate-alternate reality of the SuperEnterprise, mentally unstable Spock, and annoying Uhura.

That works for me!

^Yet for such a thing to work, one has to ignore both "In a Mirror, Darkly" (where NX-01 crew serive records are in the USS Defiant's computer) and "These are the Voyages"

The Vulcan civil war (from "Gambit") and Archer IV (from "Yesterday's Enterprise") count as Enterprise references in prior series' too. And of course the novelverse is spammed with references to every series including Enterprise.

I don't understand how fans get silly and try to cut Enterprise from canon, when TNG, DS9 and Voyager (and TOS' internal continuity too) are all equally packed with discontinuities. Voyager and TOS can't possibly co-exist because of how they treat warp speed (TOS and the old movies hopped across the galaxy like it was nothing, yet it's a lifetime journey in Starfleet's fastest ship Voyager), and yet they directly cross-over in "Flashback". If that gets a pass, anything Enterprise did gets one too, IMO.

TATV should just be ignored, it was a terrible episode by anyones standards. The Defiant records is about the only thing that may apply, but then again the ship did cross interphase so there's no way of knowing what happened to it there.

The Vulcan "civil war" goes back to before the time or Surak when the Vulcans were a passionate and barbaric species. As for Archer IV it was never stated in the episode what it was named for, maybe it was in the constellation that makes up sagittarius, or was charted by the U.S.S. Archer (named for an individual who wields a bow). The novelverse isn't canon so doesn't really count.

I'm not cutting ENT from canon, but rather see that it works better in the NuTrek universe rather than trying to shoehorn it in when there has never been any previous mention of another starship Enterprise. How come they haven't done a Star Wars-esque update of TMP that includes a picture of the NX-01 in the Rec Room instead of the ring-ship? Or added it to the E-D conferernce room when remastering TNG? Was the mission considered such a disaster that it has been expunged from the history of ships named Enterprise.

That is good, its just a shame that Scott Bakula doesn't have the gravitas to really pull it off.

Wait a minute! The XCV 330 Enterprise ringship is an umbilical cord that connects both ENT and ID to the old Trek, because it appeared as a wall painting and as a desktop model. If they replaced that with the NX-01 that would mean...heck, let's do it!

My thoughts exactly. Of course, I can see the inevitable counter-question coming. Answer: The XVC 330 Enterprise would have been too big and its ring would have protruded into the room, the sailing ship and the space shuttle orbiter on the other hand were too small and would have looked silly as rather rough approximations in brass or gold.

Maybe the Defiant that showed up in IAMD didn't originate in the Primeverse but a timeline closely approximating the Primeverse.

There is more canon evidence to support its existance than the NX-01. I will always think the series would've been better off on a Daedalus-Class ship (though redesigned to make it look like something that wasn't just a washing up bottle, tennis ball, and a couple of toilet roll tubes stuck together ).

Re: Just seen the last episode... I'm outrage!

Indeed, that was laughable.

Though with a few paperclips and some chewing gum and rubber bands it could totally work.

Yep... a Valentine to the fans? More like B&B just saying "Screw you!" to the few fans who had stuck around at that point.

A crossover between TNG and ENT could be a decent episode if done properly.
For Ent, the optimum crossover story would have involved the TOS crew since that crew would have been the direct successor to the NX-01. A crossover with TNG is about as random as it gets. Hell, why not do a crossover, with DS9 or Voy? Either makes as much (or little) sense as TNG.

The only reason the Beebs chose TNG was because they wanted ratings for the last episode. It was simply a ratings stunt. They couldn't get Shat so they went with the next "best" thing that they thought would get ratings: the vast and always-hungry-to-see-their-(now) rotund-characters TNG audience. Didn't matter that it made little sense.

They could easily have gotten other TOS actors like Nichelle Nichols or Chekov, but the always ratings conscience Beebs , likely thought the TNG characters meant higher ratings.

To the o/p, I'm sorry no one advised you to skip TaTV completely.

Maybe those were "really" monitors in TMP, switching between pictures of various Enterprises? It was hardly a complete set, and as for the TNG conference lounge, they got the B and C wong too - perhaps it was an art project by one of the more talented children on board
