Our cooler weather has manifested itself as half our yearly average rainfall in the last 24 hours.

Re: Ready for cooler weather

I guess I'm the only one, but I am definitely NOT ready for cooler weather! I am known by friends and family for always being the coldest one in the room, shivering when others are sweating. I don't hit a level of comfort until the temperature is about 85F or above.

And I HATE the wind, so I definitely do not like fall or spring, which I just call the windy seasons.

I like winter for the holidays and coziness, but I do not like the cold, it just hurts my bones. And although I appreciate the rainy, gray weather for about a couple of weeks, any longer than that and it starts to mess with my mood, making me devolve from a contemplative melancholy to downright depressed.

I guess I just need those shining sun rays to thrive.

I am revelling in the cool gray that has just blanketed Seattle. It makes me appreciate the turning leaves.

Wow! Last week it was 100 degrees and completely dry. Today it's in the 50s and raining! Quite the change. No wonder I got sick!

Re: Ready for cooler weather

Omg! Summer seems to be ending!

Highs in the lows 90s for the rest of the week, and maybe even in the mid 80s in a week!

Good, cause my electric bill has been taking a beating.

Its in the 80s here in Kabul finally. Still pretty warm during mid-day (like right now) but the nights are definintely getting cooler. I hope we start to see snow on the mountains within the next 2 months.

Cooler, yes. Anything below 75, no.
I'm guessing you mean 75F...
Nope, he means Celsius and that he hates anything cooler than 33 degrees above the hottest temperature ever recorded on Earth. Those people in Death Valley are a bunch of wussies. That's sweater weather.

I don't even like summer. I appreciate the fresh air and being able to leave the windows open all day and night, but otherwise, I like fall better. I'm definitely ready for cooler weather.

Re: Ready for cooler weather

We're still having highs in the low 80s F. MUCH better than the 110 F of summer!

Nights are very cool now. Cold weather is coming, where our highs will be what our current nighttime temps are, if that. I'm not rushing for the cold.

Heck, there's still some tomatoes (that I gave up on) that are green! They went nuts when the weather cooled down. I'm not sure if they're gonna ripen. And some ugly bugs seem to like being on the plants--not regular beetles. I'm..uh..pretty afraid of bugs.

It's been in the 40s here in the mornings lately. Only up into the 50s in the day, and I'm glad of the gray weather too. Makes for better viewing of the foliage.
