FINAL POLL - Sept/Oct Challenge - The Alternative Factor

It's two .. two .. two months in one!

Appropriate, since "The Alternative Factor" is about two visions - what Star Trek is, and what it might have been. Klaus challenged us to present a vision of Star Trek from another perspective, an alternate timeline where things are familiar, but not the same - true to Star Trek's universe, but not necessarily the universe as we've always seen it.

So step through the looking glass, see the other worlds of Star Trek, and vote! Two days from now, someone from another universe will be challenging us anew .

Tough choice this time! Ultimately I went with The Lensman just becasue he did such an excellent job combining those different elements. If I weren't as familiar with how Star Trek actually unfolded, I might be tricked into thinking this was authentic, the compositing is so well done.

But everyone else had something going for them, so, like I said, this was a tough one...

I had to vote for The Lensman, too - the authenticity of the card is amazing .

Thanks for the kind words everyone! In all honesty, I'm a bit surprised at the positive response.

For me it was a tough call between Klaus and Ptrope as both are brilliant. I think this was one of the tougher ones to decide. Ultimately I went with Ptrope because I have a major soft spot for well done "period piece" book covers that evoke a sense of wonder.

Well done you guys!

congrats lensman although I dont get it.

I am just a basic trek tv fan so whatever it signified was lost on me as were most of them if honest and take the words of others.

23 votes is a pathetic turnout for a thread with over well over 300 views.
Then again feedback on here has always been pretty shit.

Yeah, I kinda miss the old days when people would go into more depth in their critiques and feelings about the various pieces, but it is what it is.
