New Canyon Discovered

... On Earth. 466 miles long and a little over a half mile deep, buried under ice in Northern Greenland.

Well that doesn't happen every day.

Re: New Canyon Discovered

Maybe they will discover ruins of an ancient alien civilization! Maybe, because it's frozen, there will be bodies!

So the second stargate isn't in Antarctica, it's in Greenland?

It will be interesting if they're able to get to the bottom through all the ice, and then discover some tribal settlement that doesn't fit any known civilization.

Re: New Canyon Discovered

A lot of people think ithat Antarctica is just a place of ice that people take cores from for climate research. It is a continent like any other, and has all kinds of geography. It is just hard to get at. Walk outside more than a few steps, and you might not get back...

I often wonder what role this might be playing in CO2 samples there:

Who knows, there might be another version of Lake Nyos there:
