Improbable Cause. One half of a whole is just incomplete.

Improbable Cause - 3
The Visitor - 1
In the Pale Moonlight - 0
Tacking into the Wind - 1

I'll eliminate Improbable Cause.

For the first vote after resetting the scores: Tacking into the Wind. I love that episode to bits, it's my favourite out of the final arc, but it doesn't compare to the other 2 episodes (and, in accordance with my earlier statement, it's not really a stand-alone episode, being part of a larger episode arc).

The Visitor - 0
In the Pale Moonlight - 0
Tacking into the Wind - 1

I also vote for Tacking into the Wind, because I think the other 2 are more complete pieces of work.

Re: The least disliked episode of DS9 - Final Round

Tacking into the Wind is an excellent, game changing episode of DS9, and has done well to get this far, but I'll have to eliminate it now. The other two are my top two episodes.

And so it's down to choosing between The Visitor and In The Pale Moonlight, which are excellent in different ways. I have to side with Sisko's tortured choices, which I get swept into with every time I rewatch it. I'd be happy with either episode winning though.

The Visitor - 1
In The Pale Moonlight - 0

These episodes are two of the very best. That said, I'll vote for the Visitor simply because Moonlight is the best. If I had to give another reason... well, Jake crying every time he saw Sisko happened one too many times (though, I'm not going to pretend like I wouldn't be a wreck in the same situation!) also I don't much care for the old age makeup.

Now it's time to vote for The Visitor. In the Pale Moonlight is just way too good.

Still nothing has changed I've voted this way for the last 8 or so rounds. "The Visitor"
Nothing has changed except yet more superior episodes have been eliminated. Sure it's a good episode but I prefer episodes like "The WIre", "The Die is Cast" etc...

The Visitor - 4
In the Pale Moonlight - 0

Well, there we have it. In the Pale Moonlight wins, receiving no votes against it for the entire game. That's a distinction it shares only with The Wrath of Khan in the movie thread of two years ago.

In the Pale Moonlight was voted for once in one of the previous rounds (page 4). *g*

I really like The Visitor because it did more to put in context what the father son relationship between Jake and Ben and did more to develop Jake than what TNG did with Wesley Crusher in all 7 seasons. With that said, it pales in comparison to In the Pale Moonlight.

Voyager next? That should be an entertaining bloodbath.

Would Endgame make it out of the first round?

Mathimatican's answer: Yes as it wouldn't appear to Round 7.

"Endgame" might not even make it to the final knock out round.
