The new Vibe was pretty cool in his 52 reboot. I will be interested to see how far they take him.

Ugh, the only Vibe I am familiar with is from the DC Shorts. Please let it not be anything like him.

Vibe...because that's what DC's live action properties need...more Justice League Detroit....

If he is anything like the Nu52 Vibe, it'll be cool.

It'd nice if like how the original Flash series gave Robert Shayne a reaccuring role, they give a reaccuring part to John Wesley Shipp.

I think he'd make a great Jay Garrick.

Problem is, how do you do Garrick without a golden age Flash?

In the 1990 TV pilot, he had an older brother named Jay who was killed...an obvious nod to Garrick.

Without super powers, you say Jay was a former track star in college. Attribute some world records to him and say he was once known as 'the fastest man alive.'

Anyone complaining about Iris' race switch?

I don't mind -- but Barry & Felicity had some good chemistry in the 2 episodes they had together...it'd be a shame for them trash it...but hopefully these two have chemistry, and we'll forget it.

I'm sure someone is, but maybe most of them are too busy complaining about Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm. Or about the Super Bowl Coke commercial.

Really, there have been so many originally white characters played by nonwhite actors at this point -- going back to Eartha Kitt's Catwoman in the 1960s -- that it's bizarre the way people react each time as though it were inconceivable and had never happened before.

Well, the descriptions say that Barry and Iris are best friends, at least for now. Iris's father Detective West (Jesse L. Martin) has been described as a surrogate father figure for Barry, so he may think of her more as a sister.

For what it's worth, Barry and Iris are still just friends in the New 52 version of the Flash comic, and we only saw Iris in a few episodes of the 1990 show if I'm not mistaken.

They probably just want to take their time to ramp up to a relationship, if that's even where they want to take it.

Re: FLASH series being developed for The CW

It will be interesting to see how Flash develops style wise in it's story telling. Hopefully it won't ape Arrow for too long before finding it's own narrative style.

Instead of lots of flashbacks lots of flash forwards.

Iris (Paula Marshall) was Barry's girlfriend in the pilot episode of the series, but broke up with him and disappeared completely from the show by episode 2.
