Re: Kate Mulgrew - Orange is the New black

The article is of minimal interest, the video attached has nothing to do with it but has everything to do with the show so you should watch it.

My only complaint with the vid?

http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/...icle-1.1508470

The dude interviewed EVERYONE except the stunning redhead that photobombed Piper Kerman's segment.

Sheessh.

This article claims it contains "spoilers".

http://www.idigitaltimes.com/article...miere-date.htm

I am so unimpressed with what they consider "spoilage".

Those were very good points.. but it makes me ask WHO is touching Red?
I am not even going to go there. Janeway was pretty much untouchable maybe Red is too. She may perceive that as a weakness.
Uh... I think we all SAW who was touching Red.

It was silent Norma... whenever she needed her legs done or her hair colored.
I so need to be cast on this show.

Re: Kate Mulgrew - Orange is the New black

btw last night I dreamed that Kate Mulgrew was in Lexx (which I am currently watching) and she was a villain completely clad in black leather with her Red haircut and while I was watching this I was quite scared of her.

(It was awesome.)

WOW!

Netflix has reconsidered... OitNB is now a DRAMA!

http://www.goldderby.com/news/4966/o...584930261.html

Except for the WGA where its still a comedy.

Mainly for "Weeds" fans since not really anything on OitNB

http://www.parade.com/227541/scottne...the-new-black/

Lots of kissing and hugging, but no shower scenes so I'm going to risk this one.

http://orangeisthenewblack-confessio...ay/2013/10/16/

I really feel for both of them when she finally answers his question.

Re: Kate Mulgrew - Orange is the New black

But seriously, much as I am not an Alex fan how much more intense and exciting and into her is Alex than Larry? No competition on that front.

We need someone like that for Kate Mulgrew's Red..

Re: Kate Mulgrew - Orange is the New black

Did you get the sense, from her recent interviews, that we are going to hear more about Red's husband this year, or just her sons?

I'd like to find out what happened to land her in prison.

Did she fall on her sword to protect her spouse?

Did her spouse turn her in because she was getting too cozy with the Russian mobsters?

Did the Mobster's wife, One-Hung-Low, turn her in because she could no long find a bra that fits?

Does he still write to her in prison?

Does he visit?

Is he still alive?

Inquiring minds, want to know.

She's was a little naive and they threw her to the wolves as soon as they came knocking. That's my Red theory.

^^And why she's so careful not to show any "weakness".

Good idea, but then why would she still use them to smuggle contraband into the kitchen?

Re: Kate Mulgrew - Orange is the New black

She used "Neptune's Produce", the company the Russian mob used to launder their money. I think the Russian driver that Pornstache stopped and blackmailed was one of the guys that used to hang with the big boss at Red's deli/grocery shop.

Re: Kate Mulgrew - Orange is the New black

Maybe she made a deal to keep her no good sons out of prison? Took the fall? And part of their end was they support her however they can while she's in there.

And we still don't know how long her sentence is.

Re: Kate Mulgrew - Orange is the New black

I think her sons were young when she went to prison... like early teens?

Somewhere along the line I got the feeling Red has been in prison like 12-16 years.

Corporate recognition for Netflix due to OitNB.

http://variety.com/2013/biz/news/at-...ck-1200816383/

After all the crap she went through at the end of season 1, here's hoping someone (Nicky? ) reminds Red of her own philosophy.
