DS9: Our Man Bashir, It's Only a Paper Moon
TNG: Starship Mine-I'm not exactly sure why but I LOVE this episode (plus Tim Russ is in it).

Oh my goodness, NOOO!! That is Assignment: Earth - which is just awful, IMO. Enterprise Incident is the espionage story, where Kirk & Co. are sent on a secret mission to steal a Romulan cloaking devce.

And since I dont usually watch DS9 or VOY I initially forgot to mention:

DS9: Trials and Tribble-ations

Distilling it down to the episodes I usually go for when I just want to have some Star Trek on:

Balance of Terror
That Which Survives
The Savage Curtain
Samaritan Snare
Peak Performance
Yesterday's Enterprise
Cause and Effect
All Good Things
Whispers
Civil Defense
The Ascent
Take Me Out to the Holosuite

Don't forget TAS. I think it's "More Tribbles, More Troubles".
Poor little glommar. Confronted with a tribble the size of a VW Beetle.

"The Ascent" is my favorite comfort episode of DS9 for sure.

Thanks I'm pretty nuts about Snoopy myself - bought myself a Peanuts treasury from a charity shop the other day and pretty much read it all in one go

Every once in a while I will put on TMP late at night and then lay on the couch. I'm always asleep by the time Scotty finishes bringing Kirk to the Enterprise. Love falling asleep to that movie.

Episode wise. BOBW, Encounter at Farpoint, Unification and especially Family.

Re: Comfort Episodes (all Trek)

Right now all of TOS is comforting for me, however I have a special affinity for Spock/McCoy interaction.

I especially love Immunity Syndrome and The Tholian Web because in both episodes there is some animosity but in the end of each you can see they really do care about each other.

Re: Comfort Episodes (all Trek)

Hard to add to what's already been said, pretty much any TOS or TNG episode is "comfort food" for me. But one I haven't seen called out specifically that I always really like and find to be nice and mellow for much of the episode but still pretty darn interesting is TNG "Timescape".
